The Effect of HR Competence and Work Discipline on Employee Performance mediated by Public Service Quality (Study at the Surbaya City Transportation Office), Postgraduate Program, Wijaya Putra University. This type of research is explanatory, namely research that tests hypotheses between hypothesized variables to be tested. using a quantitative approach, the research sample was 95 respondents. In this study the data will be processed using SEM-PLS data analysis. The objectives of this study are: 1) To test and analyze the direct effect of HR competence on employee performance. 2) To test and analyze the direct effect of HR competencies on the quality of public services. 3) To test and analyze the direct effect of work discipline on employee performance. 4) To test and analyze the direct effect of work discipline on the quality of public services. 5) To test and analyze the direct effect of public service quality on employee performance. 6) To test and analyze the indirect effect of HR competencies on employee performance mediated by the quality of public services. 7) To test and analyze the indirect effect of work discipline on employee performance mediated by public service quality. The results showed that: 1) HR competence has a positive and insignificant effect on employee performance. This is evidenced by the original sample value of 0.597 and p-values of 0.179. 2) HR competence has a positive and significant effect on the quality of public services. This is evidenced by the original sample value of 0.223 and p-values of 0.000. 3) Work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. This is evidenced by the original sample value of 0.279 and p-values of 0.025. 4) Work discipline has a positive and insignificant effect on the quality of public services. This is evidenced by the original sample value of 0.198 and p-values of 0.263. 5) Public service quality has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of workload and work stress on nurse performance by considering the role of nursing service quality as a mediating variable. The study was conducted at the Bluto Health Center, Sumenep Regency, which is one of the first-level public health service centers in the area. The research method used a quantitative approach with an explanatory design. A total of 37 nurses became research respondents. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) technique. The results showed that workload had a significant positive effect on the quality of nursing services (coefficient 0.461; p = 0.001) and nurse performance (coefficient 0.343; p = 0.003). Conversely, work stress had a significant negative impact on the quality of nursing services (coefficient -0.362; p = 0.02) but did not have a significant direct effect on nurse performance (coefficient -0.129; p = 0.290). In addition, the quality of nursing services is proven to have a significant positive effect on nurse performance (coefficient 0.526; p = 0.000). Furthermore, the quality of nursing services is proven to mediate the relationship between workload and work stress on performance. Workload increases performance through service quality (coefficient 0.243; p = 0.020), while work stress decreases performance through the same pathway (coefficient -0.191; p = 0.040). This study emphasizes the importance of managing workload and stress to improve nurse performance through improving the quality of nursing services.

Abstract

Hartono, 2025. Analysis Using Nvivo In Qualitative Research. Doctoral Program, 17 Agustus 1945 University, Surabaya. Qualitative research plays an important role in exploring social phenomena in depth, but often faces challenges in managing and analyzing complex data. NVivo is a software solution designed to help researchers conduct qualitative data analysis systematically and efficiently. This paper discusses the use of NVivo in analyzing in-depth interview data on public perceptions of public transportation policies. With a descriptive approach and case studies, this paper shows how NVivo facilitates the process of coding, category creation (nodes), pattern searching (query), and data visualization. The results of the analysis show that NVivo improves accuracy, efficiency, and facilitates collaboration in qualitative research. Thus, NVivo is recommended as an important tool in improving the quality and validity of social research results.
