Perguruan tinggi seharusnya terpanggil untuk menjawab tantangan-tantangan di atas melalui pelaksanaan darma ketiga pengabdian pada masyarakat, dan panggilan tersebut sejauh ini sudah banyak dilakukan namun program-program yang betul-betul pokus pada sasaran masih perlu diperbaiki, terutama mengeksplor potensi ekonomi kreatif yan gsejak lama ada dan sedang tumbuh di masyarakat. Berdasar pada latarbelakang itulah seminar nasional dengan Tema “Peran Penelitian dalam Menunjang Percepatan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan di Indonesia” penting untuk dilakukan. Seminar ini diharapkan akan member motivasi dan inspirasi, terutama kepada pengabdi untuk melahirkan berbagai karya, produk dan konsep aplikatif, terutama terkait dengan produk berbasis akselerasi percepatan pembangunan nasional.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine Power Quality at Samarinda State Polytechnic Electrical Installation. Measures of power quality include voltage and current imbalances, harmonics, power factors, voltage dip / swell and sag, and flicker. The research location was the Samarinda State Polytechnic Campus. The research was conducted by conducting direct measurements using a Power Quality Analyzer and the measurement results were compared with existing standards such as the IEEE-519 standard or the NEMA standard ((National Equipment Manufacturer's Association) about voltage imbalances. Data retrieval is done by direct measurement on installation panels in several units such as Distribution Substation, Building Directorate, Electrical Engineering Laboratory, Computer Laboratory, Machine Workshop, and Electrical Workshop. The measurement results show that voltage / current fluctuations occur but are still within the permissible limits, ranging from 228 to 242 Volt. The imbalance of voltage is still below 2% and this still meets the permitted standard. While the harmonic content still meets the standards, which is still below 5%, which is only around 2.4%. To measure overall quality, data is obtained from measurements on Distribution Station Panel on side s secondary from 20kV / 380V TM Transformer 555KVA and from TM 20kV / 380 Transformer 159 kVA. Measurements are carried out for approximately 1 day 24 hours starting at around 5:00 p.m. until 5 p.m. in the following afternoon.

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research (Classroom Action research) which aims to improve learning outcomes Computer numerical control (CNC) Practice of State Vocational School Technology students in the city of Makassar. The object of this research is the students of class XI of Mechanical Engineering at SMK Negeri who participated in the practice of CNC totaling 24 students. The data collection technique used was through the provision of tests at the end of each cycle in accordance with the material taught previously in each cycle and direct observation of action implementation. This study identified an increase in student learning outcomes quantitatively, this increase was seen in the average score of student learning outcomes in class XI of Mechanical Engineering SMKN Technology in the city of Makassar, for each machining class. In SMKN 2 the initial test increased by 65 in the first cycle of 71.45 which then continued with the second cycle of 77.71. In SMKN 10 the initial test results obtained 65.38 increased in the first cycle to 71.75 and in the second cycle increased with 77.5 test results. In Vocational School 5 initial tests obtained 69.64 increased in cycle 2 of 75.18 then in the second cycle the results obtained increased 81.07 Qualitatively there was a change in the activeness and attention of students during the implementation of the action namely increasing student activity in carrying out tasks, fostering student courage in expressing opinions, as well as the creation of a favorable learning process condition for State Vocational School students in Makassar

Abstract

Abstract.  Speaking skills and cultural/ethnic background of students allegedly affect language politeness in daily communication. This research aims to determine the effect of speaking skills teaching materials on improving the language politeness of Makassar State University students and the influence of students' cultural/ethnic background on their language politeness. This research uses a pre-experimental method. The instrument used in this research was a test, namely pretest and posttest. The results showed that the application of the model of speaking skills teaching materials can improve language politeness. The results of the second research showed that students with Bugis cultural/ethnic backgrounds had a greater impact on speaking politeness than students with Makassar cultural/ethnic backgrounds, especially students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Faculty of Language and Letters, State University of Makassar. Keywords: Teaching materials, speaking skills, language politeness, cultural

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pretasi mata pelajaran Fisika dengan tingkat pengetahuan siswa pada teknologi sepeda motor di SMK Negeri 7 Takalar, kontribusi pretasi mata pelajaran Fisika terhadap tingkat pengetahuan siswa pada teknologi sepeda motor di SMK Negeri 7 Takalar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini tergolong penelitian korelasi yang dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif diolah menggunakan aplikasi SPSS 24, yang mana mau melihat kekuatan hubungan antara variabel bebas dan variabel terikat. Selanjutnya dilihat besarnya kontribusi variabel bebas terhadap variabel terikat, data dikumpulkan melalui instrumen dokumentasi, dan tes. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis statistik inferensial parametrik yaitu Regresi Linier Sederhana. Regresi Linier Sederhana digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis. Pengujian hipotesis statistik menggunakan tingkat kesalahan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan dengan kekuatan sedang antara mata pelajaran Fisika dengan pengetahuan TDSM pada jurusan Teknologi dan Bisnis Sepeda Motor (TBSM) di SMK Negeri 7 Takalar dengan Kontribusi mata pelajaran Fisika terhadap pengetahuan TDSM pada jurusan Teknologi dan Bisnis Sepeda Motor (TBSM) di SMK Negeri 7 Takalar sebesar 31,8 %. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari R square sebesar 0,318Kata kunci: Fisika, Teknologi Dasar, Sepeda Motor

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of performance-based mathematics learning models in universities. The type of research used is experimental research, which is a comparison of performance-based mathematics learning models as experimental classes and direct learning models as a control class. The population in the study were mathematics department students of FMIPA UNM and the study sample was A1 education class as the experimental class and A2 education class as the control class. The data used in the study is the value of learning outcomes given after the completion of learning. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics and inferential statistics using variance analysis (ANOVA). The results showed that the value of the mathematics learning outcomes of the experimental class using a performance-based mathematics learning model was in the very high category, the value of the results of the mathematics control class using the direct learning model was in the medium category. The results of hypothesis testing show that performance-based mathematics learning is effective for use in college.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. This study aimed to describe the provision of Scaffolding in solving mathematical problems in the two-variable linear equations system (SPLDV) material by involving students' social intelligence rankings. It was also to see the provision of Scaffolding in solving SPLDV mathematical problems. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII-J of SMP Negeri 1 Sungguminasa Gowa, the even semester of the school year 2017/2018, that was one student with top-ranked social intelligence. The instrument used in this study was the mathematical problem-solving test, aimed to collect written data about students' mistakes in solving SPLDV mathematical problems. This problem material consisted of one questions formulated in the form of math word problem. The next instrument used was the social intelligence questionnaire. This questionnaire is in the form of a Likert Scale, this questionnaire consisted of 27 items, this instrument was given to identify the stages of students’ social intelligence, and another instrument was the interview guide. The results of this study showed that the mathematical problem-solving of SPLDV is quite helpful for students, even though at first the students still seemed low in absorbing Scaffolding steps to solve the problem. After giving some reinforcement, subjects can follow the Scaffolding steps even though not maximally. The results of the interview also indicate that giving Scaffolding in solving mathematical problems based on social intelligence showed the students’ ability who are relatively standart (medium) in solving SPLDV mathematical problems. The role of the teacher in giving Scaffolding is very important, where the teacher can assist students in completing tasks or concepts that are not initially able to be obtained independently, so that in solving mathematical problems, teachers need to pay attention to the suitability of each level of Scaffolding in solving SPLDV mathematical problems. Because each level of Scaffolding given and in accordance with the needs of students in the learning process, this can help students in solving mathematical problems.

Abstract

This research is an experimental study which aims to determine the level of exhaust emissions (smoke) produced by diesel fuel and Pertamina Dex. The smoke opacity meter is used to retrieve data about the thickness of the exhaust gases of the two types of fuel, namely diesel fuel and Pertamina Dex on diesel engines. Experimental test results show a comparison of diesel engine exhaust emissions using diesel fuel and Pertamina Dex fuel. RPM 500 Solar by 1.5% and Dex pertamina by 2.3% experienced smoke increase of 0.8%, RPM 1000 Solar by 5.9% and pertamina Dex 8.9% experienced smoke increase of 0.3%, RPM 1500 Solar by 30.9% and Pertamina Dex 25.6% decreased smoke by 5.3%, RPM 2000 Solar by 52.1% and Pertamina Dex 43.9% decreased smoke by 8.2%, and RPM 2500 Solar by 74, 4% and Pertamina Dex 65.8% decreased 8.6%.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan model podcast dalam melatih keterampilan interpersonal mahasiswa. Dalam metode penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dan metode penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara menyebar kuesioner melalui miscrosoft form pada sejumlah mahasiswa. Analisis data dilakukan dengan mengelompokkan rata-rata skor jawaban pada angket, mencari persentasi hasil tanggapan responden, dan menginterpretasi hasil tanggapan responden berdasarkan persentase. Hasil penelitian berupa penggunaan podcast sebagai media pembelajaran digital masih sangat jarang, hal tersebut karena kurangnya jumlah pembelajaran melalui podcast. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model podcast dalam melatih keterampilan interpersonal mahasiswa dengan perolehan nilai 43,6% sangat setuju, 50,7% setuju, dan 3% tidak setuju; point selanjutnya ialah podcast meningkatkan Keterampilan Interpersonal mahasiwa dengan perolehan nilai 40,3% sangat setuju, 56,7% setuju, sisanya 3% tidak setuju. Secara keseluruhan mahasiswa memiliki kemampuan dalam melatih keterampilan interpersonal jika dirangsang menggunakan model podcast. Podcast dianggap cukup inovatif, tetapi banyak yang lebih memilih media digital lain karena sudah lebih mengerti dan paham serta cukup familiar untuk digunakan. Penggunaan podcast sebagai media pembelajaran dianggap efektif pada pembelajaran-pembelajaran yang tidak menggunakan rumus dan berhitung pada materi pembelajarannya.  Kata Kunci: Podcast, Interpersonal Skills Mahasiswa, Model Pembelajaran.

Abstract

Abstrak. Pembelajaran matematika di Sekolah Dasar akan semakin bermakna apabila dikaitkan dengan kegiatan ektrakulikuler siswa, Pramuka merupakan ekstrakurikuler yang mengajarkan banyak hal salah satunya keterampilan Tali-temali atau Pionering yang didalamnya sarat akan unsur Geometri. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis nilai-nilai Matematika yang terdapat pada pembuatan bangunan Pionering Pramuka ditinjau dari objek pembelajaran Matematika Sekolah. Penelitian dilakukan di UKM Pramuka UNM dengan meminta anggota Pramuka untuk membuat beberapa bangunan Pionering. Untuk menguatkan data yang dimiliki maka peneliti selanjutnya melakukan wawancara kepada anggota Pramuka sebagai pembuat Pionering dan Pembina Pramuka yang bergelut dibidang Matematika untuk memperoleh data yang lebih mendalam. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan mengacu pada tahap kondensasi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa dalam proses pembuatan bangunan Pionering Menara Kaki Tiga, Jemuran, Karapan, dan Tandu terdapat konsep matematika atau nilai-nilai etnomatematika yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika Sekolah Dasar. Anggota Pramuka mengonstruk bangunan Pionering tidak menggunakan pengukuran secara matematis, hanya mengandalkan pengalaman dan intuisi yang dimiliki.Kata Kunci: Matematika Sekolah, Pramuka, Pionering.
