Abstract

The holding of elections in Indonesia is a consequence of the functioning of the democratic political system in the process of organizing its government. Elections themselves are one of the means of popular sovereignty in which the people can elect representatives and political leaders directly starting from the Regional Heads (Regent/Mayor and Governor), Legislative Members (DPR, DPD, Provincial DPRD, and District/City DPRD), and President and Vice President. The simultaneous election search for 2024 must be carried out safely, honestly and fairly. Therefore, it is deemed necessary to provide political understanding to the community in determining their voting rights intelligently and respecting the choices of others who differ from their choices. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide understanding and insight to BPD, Village officials, and the Village Youth Organization in the context of strengthening political awareness to welcome simultaneous elections in 2024. The method used in this community service is socialization in the form of lectures and discussions related to elections to 33 people from village representatives in Jatiwangi District, Majalengka Regency, West Java Province which begins with giving a pre-test and ends with a post-test to participants to see the increase in understanding before and after the socialization. The results of this activity showed that for the pre-test, the average participant obtained a score of 56, while for the post-test the average score was 69. With this, there was an increase of 13 points. This shows that there is an increase in participants' understanding after the socialization and discussion.

Abstract

The packaging design of a product can affect a consumer's psychology because it is the first thing that will be seen. Product packaging design is also one of the special requirements in making a Business License through Online Single Submission (OSS), both the Business Identification Number (NIB) and the Certificate of Fulfillment of Commitments Home Industry Processed Food Production (SPP-IRT). However, a simple product packaging design without a business license is still a feature of the products of Productive MSME players in Jatimukti Village. This service activity aims to provide reinforcement in the form of increasing literacy related to product packaging design and business permits. Then also provide assistance in creating new packaging designs with complete labels and business permits. The business permits in question are in the form of NIB and SPP-IRT which are made through OSS to productive MSME actors in Jatimukti Village. The method of service activities is carried out through FGD with productive MSME in Jatimukti Village, education through socialization and training on product packaging design and business permits. Then there is simulation and assistance to create product packaging designs with complete labels and business permits. This community service activity can be concluded to have a positive impact with the output of the activity in the form of new product packaging designs with complete labels for MSME for Chips and Block Cake products and the issuance of business license in the form of 2 (two) NIB and 3 (three) SPP-IRT.

Abstract

At this time, society is faced with the flow of hoaxes, disinformation, and misinformation. Based on facts sourced from the 2021 Digital Literacy Survey by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics of the Republic of Indonesia, there is a tendency for people not to respond to existing hoaxes. Even though this hoax needs to be countered by counter-narratives with correct information. One way to fight it is to write. This service seeks to encourage an increase in the writing skills of Malang City Community Information Group (KIM) members to fight hoaxes, disinformation, and misinformation. The involvement of KIM has based on the premise that this element is a public institution to empower and improve the quality of public information according to their characteristics and needs. Devotion method in the form of writing training. The results of the dedication show that the participants are good at receiving writing training, as evidenced by the final average total of 3.99 which is included in the good category. However, more systemic and thematic training activities are still needed to improve sustainable writing skills.

Abstract

One of the important elements that must be possessed so that a village can carry out government functions and maintain the existence of the village is to regulate the lives of village communities through public policy. However, village officials, especially the village head and the Sidomakmur Village Consultative Body, still have low competence in formulating public policies. Therefore, this training seeks to provide knowledge and assistance regarding public policy analysis for Sidomakmur Village officials. This training method is mentoring by providing material and discussions. The results of the training showed that all training participants received significant marks regarding their understanding of public policy. Thus, it can be concluded that the knowledge, understanding and competence of public policy analysis training participants has changed for the better.

Abstract

Human resources play an important role in the process of administering state government, especially at the village level, which directly interacts with the community. This closeness of course requires village officials to have digital skills as a form of communication with the community. These skills are needed when currently government tends to develop towards digital government with an Electronic Based Government System (SPBE). In the midst of this reality, villages and village governments still work in a conventional pattern, namely the pattern of carrying out tasks manually. The aim of this community service activity is to increase the competency of village officials in making presentation materials using Microsoft PowerPoint and Doratoon. This community service activity is carried out using 2 (two) methods, namely training and practice through 4 (four) activity stages including identification, formulation, implementation and evaluation of activities. Training on the use of Microsoft PowerPoint and Doratoon for Ponggang Village officials has been implemented in accordance with the identification and formulation stages. This can also be seen from the evaluation results which show participant satisfaction in receiving the training material and being able to practice the results of the training that was previously delivered. In the future, competency improvement training for Ponggang Village officials is expected to be more varied and carried out on an ongoing basis.
