Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of POSDCORB management functions in the governance of the Protestant Christian Church in Bali (GKPB). It responds to the growing demand for religious organizations to be managed not only as spiritual communities but also as accountable, transparent, effective, and sustainable service institutions. A qualitative case study design was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, non-participant observation, and document analysis involving informants from synod, regional, and congregational levels. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, thematic coding based on the seven POSDCORB functions, and interpretive conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that planning, organizing, staffing, directing, coordinating, reporting, and budgeting have been implemented in GKPB governance, although their application remains uneven, partially informal, and not fully documented. Planning is participatory and hierarchical, organizing is supported by church structures, leadership is collegial and pastoral, and reporting and budgeting are relatively transparent. Nevertheless, the church still needs clearer job descriptions, stronger leadership regeneration, more consistent cross-sector coordination, standardized reporting, and digitalized administrative and financial systems. This article argues that POSDCORB is relevant for analyzing church governance because it connects managerial systems with service values, congregational participation, and organizational accountability.

Abstract

Supply chain transparency has become one of the key topics in recent years due to the increasing emphasis on sustainability, traceability, digital transformation, and accountability in global supply networks. The widespread application of advanced technologies including blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), and smart contracts has led to a growing body of literature on studying the benefits of supply chain transparency and its role in enhancing performance and resilience. This paper aims at revealing the intellectual structure, evolution, collaboration pattern, and future directions of supply chain transparency research by employing bibliometrics. Data was obtained from Scopus databases and then analyzed with the help of bibliometric methods supplemented by VOSviewer. Publication analysis, authorship analysis, institutional collaboration, country collaboration, citation analysis, keyword analysis, overlay visualization, and density visualization will be employed in the process of data analysis. It can be found that the most dominating themes among supply chain transparency literature include blockchain, supply chain management, sustainability, traceability, and digital transformation. India and China became major players in the network of international collaboration, while some institutions functioned as knowledge hubs. Most citations were achieved by papers discussing blockchain-based sustainable supply chains and frameworks for implementing transparency. Keyword evolution further demonstrates a shift from operational visibility toward integrated digital ecosystems emphasizing sustainability, circular economy, food safety, and intelligent supply chain governance.

Abstract

Sustainable Human Resource Management (SHRM) has emerged as an increasingly important area of research in response to growing global concerns regarding sustainability, environmental responsibility, and long-term organizational performance. This study aims to examine the development, intellectual structure, and research trends within the field through a bibliometric analysis approach. Bibliographic data were collected from the Scopus database and analyzed using bibliometric indicators and network visualization techniques through VOSviewer. The analysis includes publication trends, co-authorship networks, institutional collaboration, country collaboration, keyword co-occurrence, overlay visualization, density visualization, and citation analysis to identify the dominant themes and emerging directions of the field. The findings indicate that research in this area is strongly centered on the concepts of sustainable development and sustainability, which function as the primary foundations connecting multiple research streams. Collaboration patterns reveal that scholarly production is concentrated among several influential authors, institutions, and countries, with strong international connectivity but uneven distribution of research leadership. Keyword mapping demonstrates that the field has evolved from an initial emphasis on environmental protection, ecosystem management, and resource governance toward a more integrated perspective incorporating decision-making processes, organizational sustainability, and human resource management dimensions. Citation analysis further shows that the intellectual foundation of the field is dominated by highly influential studies addressing food security, social-ecological systems, biodiversity conservation, climate adaptation, and sustainable resource management. Despite increasing attention to management-related topics, human resource management remains relatively underrepresented, indicating opportunities for future research. This study contributes by providing a systematic overview of the knowledge landscape and identifying potential directions for advancing Sustainable Human Resource Management research.

Abstract

The rapid growth of the local skincare industry in Indonesia has intensified competition among domestic and international brands, making it essential to understand the factors that influence consumer purchasing behavior. This study aims to examine the extent to which brand image and perceived value contribute to customer trust and purchasing decisions regarding local skincare products in Indonesia. A quantitative research approach was employed using a survey method. Data were collected from 250 consumers who had purchased and used local skincare products through a structured questionnaire measured on a five-point Likert scale. The collected data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 3). The findings reveal that brand image and perceived value significantly and positively influence customer trust. Brand image and perceived value were found to enhance consumers’ confidence in local skincare brands. Furthermore, brand image, perceived value, and customer trust significantly influence purchasing decisions. The results also demonstrate that customer trust partially mediates the relationships between brand image and purchasing decisions, as well as between perceived value and purchasing decisions. The structural model explains 61.8% of the variance in customer trust and 72.1% of the variance in purchasing decisions, indicating substantial explanatory power. The study concludes that customer trust plays a crucial role in translating favorable brand perceptions and value evaluations into actual purchasing decisions. These findings contribute to consumer behavior and marketing literature by providing empirical evidence from the Indonesian local skincare market. Practically, the results suggest that local skincare companies should focus on strengthening brand image, delivering superior perceived value, and fostering customer trust to enhance consumer purchasing decisions and maintain competitive advantage in the increasingly dynamic beauty industry.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies and innovation capabilities on corporate performance among Indonesian public companies. The increasing emphasis on sustainability and innovation has encouraged organizations to adopt responsible business practices while continuously enhancing their capacity to develop new products, services, and processes. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected from 125 respondents representing managerial and professional employees working in Indonesian public companies. The variables were measured using a five-point Likert scale, and data were analyzed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 25. The analytical procedures included descriptive statistics, validity and reliability testing, classical assumption testing, multiple regression analysis, and hypothesis testing. The findings reveal that ESG strategies have a positive and significant effect on corporate performance, indicating that organizations implementing stronger environmental, social, and governance practices tend to achieve superior performance outcomes. Innovation capabilities also demonstrate a positive and significant effect on corporate performance, suggesting that firms with greater innovation capacity are more capable of improving competitiveness and organizational effectiveness. Furthermore, ESG strategies and innovation capabilities simultaneously exert a significant influence on corporate performance, explaining 47.3% of the variance in performance. The results suggest that sustainability-oriented strategies and innovation capabilities function as complementary strategic resources that enhance long-term organizational success. This study contributes to the literature on sustainability and strategic management by providing empirical evidence from Indonesian public companies and offers practical implications for managers seeking to strengthen corporate performance through integrated ESG and innovation initiatives.

Abstract

This study aims to synthesize the existing literature on the role of perceived educational quality in shaping higher education intentions. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach based on the PRISMA framework was employed. A total of 155 articles were identified, and 78 articles published between 2020 and 2025 met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed. The findings indicate that perceived educational quality is a multidimensional construct consisting of teaching quality, service quality, institutional reputation, academic environment, student–faculty interaction, and graduate employability, all of which contribute to students’ intentions to pursue higher education. The review further reveals that previous studies have produced inconsistent findings regarding the most influential dimensions of educational quality, resulting in fragmented theoretical understanding. This study addresses this gap by providing a comprehensive synthesis of the existing evidence and identifying key dimensions that consistently influence higher education intentions across different contexts. The findings contribute to the development of a more integrated conceptual framework and offer practical insights for higher education institutions in designing effective recruitment, marketing, and student retention strategies.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of servant leadership and transformational leadership on pastor performance, with organizational commitment as an intervening variable, in the Classis of GKI Port Numbai-Jayapura. The study employs a mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design. Quantitative data were collected through questionnaires administered to 257 elders and deacons from 19 sampled churches (out of 51 churches) and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS version 4. Qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews with 10 pastors and analyzed using grounded theory. The results show that servant leadership has no significant effect on organizational commitment (β = 0.046; p = 0.409) or on pastor performance directly (β = 0.074; p = 0.347). By contrast, transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment (β = 0.814; p = 0.001) and pastor performance (β = 0.322; p = 0.003). Organizational commitment has a significant effect on pastor performance (β = 0.560; p = 0.000) and functions as a mediator. Mediation tests indicate that commitment fully mediates the servant leadership path (β = 0.237; p = 0.000) and partially mediates the transformational leadership path (β = 0.148; p = 0.002). The qualitative findings reinforce that effective church leadership integrates a serving disposition with transformational vision, yielding a conceptual model of Servant-Transformational Leadership for GKI Papua.
