Abstract

This study explores the role of Kiai in shaping the religious and social behaviors of the millennial generation within the community. As religious leaders adapt to modern challenges, the millennial generation’s engagement with spirituality has evolved, requiring innovative approaches in religious leadership. The research aims to investigate how Kiai leadership fosters religious devotion, social responsibility, and unity among his followers. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The findings reveal that Kiai serves as an exemplary figure (uswah hasanah), whose personal devotion and humility positively influence the members' religious practices and behaviors. His role as a socio-religious advisor has helped balance personal piety with social engagement, encouraging members to actively participate in charitable activities. Additionally, Kiai acts as a unifier of the community, fostering solidarity and inclusivity among members from diverse backgrounds. This research contributes to the understanding of contemporary Islamic leadership by demonstrating how Kiai multifaceted approach creates a transformative impact on millennial followers. It also recommends further research into similar non-formal religious communities to explore broader trends in modern Islamic leadership.

Abstract

This study examines the pivotal role of dormitory environment management in shaping and sustaining an immersive Arabic language environment at the Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School. Adopting a case study design with a qualitative approach, the study collected data through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis. The data was analyzed using the Miles & Huberman technique, supported by triangulation to ensure the credibility of the findings. The results of the study show that the planning and implementation of structured Arabic language programs, including the teaching of mufradat, barnamij, muhadarah, and muhadatsah, is the primary foundation in stimulating active and sustainable use of Arabic. Dormitory management plays a vital role in aligning these programs with the daily routine of students, transforming the dormitory into a dynamic natural laboratory for language practice. The application of a comprehensive immersion model, which integrates Arabic into all aspects of religious and cultural life, significantly improves the language competence of students and forms strong language habits. The main conclusion confirms that the success of mastering the Arabic language is highly dependent on the creation of a holistic and integrated immersive ecosystem, with the management of the dormitory environment as a fundamental pillar. This research makes a theoretical contribution to second language acquisition and offers a practical model for similar educational institutions.

Abstract

The education system plays a vital role in society, especially in the transition from Education 4.0 to 5.0, where technology is increasingly integrated into learning. However, many educators still rely on monotonous methods that fail to engage students. This study aims to improve fourth-grade students' interest in IPAS by implementing the Team Games Tournament (TGT) interactive learning model in the 2024/2025 academic year. Based on classroom observations, the conventional approach was found to be less conducive to active learning. Using a quantitative method with random sampling, the research evaluates the impact of TGT on learning interest and outcomes. The results indicate that TGT can enhance student engagement and academic achievement. Educationally, the study supports the shift toward more interactive and student-centered models. From a management perspective, it underscores the need for innovation in instructional strategies and adaptive leadership in implementing engaging pedagogical methods. These findings underscore the importance of strategic planning and effective resource management in enhancing teaching quality and institutional performance.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of financial literacy, digital marketing, and network connections on entrepreneurial readiness among Generation Z. In the face of challenges such as the demographic bonus and high youth unemployment, entrepreneurial readiness is crucial for fostering economic independence. However, many young entrepreneurs, especially in rural areas, lack sufficient competency. A quantitative approach, utilizing a survey of 100 respondents, was employed, with data analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least SquaresSquares (SEM-PLS). The results revealed that financial literacy, digital marketing, and network connections have a positive and significant influence on entrepreneurial readiness. These variables collectively explained 71.5% of the variation in entrepreneurial readiness, with financial literacy having the most substantial impact, followed by network connections and digital marketing. The study's findings highlight the importance of a comprehensive entrepreneurship development strategy that integrates financial education, digital skills, and networking. In the education sector, the results emphasize the need for curricula that focus on financial literacy, digital marketing, and networking to equip students with the skills necessary for entrepreneurial success and to bridge the gap between education and the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Abstract

This study examines the learning management approach of the Tartila method in enhancing students' Qur'an reading skills, in response to the challenge of improving the effectiveness of teaching Qur'an literacy in formal institutions. This study employs a case study design, collecting data through in-depth interviews, document analysis, and field findings, which are then analyzed thematically to enhance the credibility of the findings. The results showed that the management of the Tartila method was carried out systematically through careful planning, involving the classification of students and the preparation of certified teachers. This approach included structured implementation with spiritual opening activities, core sessions that combined classical and individual learning, and concise closing. The achievement of students' fluent reading of the Qur'an is monitored through various evaluation mechanisms, ranging from daily to comprehensive final exams, with an overall success rate of 68%. The main supporting factors include teacher competence, adequate facilities, and parental support, while inhibiting factors include teacher inconsistency, student indiscipline, and lack of monitoring from parents at home. The implications of this study include strategic recommendations for the development of more adaptive Qur'anic teaching practices and educational policies, as well as identifying crucial areas for future research to optimize the effectiveness of these learning methods.

Abstract

Student discipline plays a crucial role in the success of secondary schools, where academic and social pressures frequently give rise to behavioral challenges. Issues such as truancy, tardiness, and rule violations hinder learning and disrupt the educational environment. This study examines how strategic management can improve student discipline in secondary schools, employing a qualitative research approach. Data were gathered through literature reviews and case studies across several institutions. Key strategies include data-driven discipline planning, active student organization involvement (OSIS, MPK, Scouts), optimizing homeroom teacher roles by Ministry of Education Regulation No. 25 of 2024, implementing a point-based reward and punishment system, and utilizing digital attendance and monitoring tools. Findings show that when strategically implemented, these approaches foster a favorable, sustainable discipline climate, reduce infractions, and improve educational quality. The study emphasizes the significance of strong leadership, character education, and community collaboration in cultivating responsible and disciplined students who are well-equipped for future challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the implementation of Teaching Factory (TEFA) management to achieve graduate competencies at vocational schools. Teaching Factory (TEFA) is a production and service-based learning model that integrates school learning with the needs of the industrial world. This approach aims to produce graduates who are competent, work-ready, and possess skills according to industry standards. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of TEFA management at schools, encompassing planning, organising, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up, has been carried out effectively. The research used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, involving observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that TEFA management implementation in schools includes planning based on industry needs, integrating learning with real-world projects, and evaluating outcomes based on work performance. Supporting factors for TEFA's success include close cooperation between schools and industries, the availability of supporting facilities, competent teachers, and effective follow-up management. However, this study also identified several obstacles, including limited facilities, a lack of continuous teacher training, and challenges in meeting the evolving needs of industry. Through optimal management, the Teaching Factory is expected to enhance the competitiveness of graduates and address labour market needs.

Abstract

Character education in special schools is vital for developing students' personality, independence, and social skills. However, the 2024 Education Report Card indicates that student character development and curriculum management remain at the medium and developmental stages, suggesting a gap between ideal education goals and actual implementation. This study explores the application of the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) quality management cycle in managing the character curriculum. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research involved in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. Findings reveal that the Plan stage is collaboratively and adaptively implemented through a thematic approach with teachers and parents. The Do stage focuses on instilling character values through practice and teacher role modeling. The Check stage involves reflective supervision and ongoing evaluations, while the Act stage emphasizes internal teacher training and curriculum revisions based on field data. The PDCA cycle has proven effective in creating a responsive, reflective, and sustainable character curriculum system. This study provides valuable insights for special education institutions aiming to develop a more effective and context-specific curriculum management system.
