Journal of Educational Management Research is an international peer-reviewed journal which publishes original and significant contributions to educational management, administration, and leadership, in its broadest sense, from all over the world. This includes primary research projects in schools and further vocational and higher education institutions. This journal encourages contributions that respond to important issues in management education. Contributions may be either conceptual or empirical and are welcomed from any topic area and country so long as they primarily focus on management or organization in education. Although our core areas of interest are organizational behaviour and management in education, we are also interested in leadership, public relation, human resource management, social issues in management, financial management, organizational development, critical management studies, etc. Authors are strongly encouraged to have their work reviewed and evaluated by their colleagues prior to submission for formal editorial review.

Abstract

This study aims to illustrate that Nurul Jadid Vocational School utilizes Virtual Community in marketing educational products, in order to make it easier for the community to be able to access every activity carried out by Nurul Jadid Vocational School Students every day in Islamic boarding schools. This research uses a qualitative case study type approach, in this case the researcher wants to analyze and understand about Public Relations opportunities in Nurul Jadid Vocational School through the Virtual Community. The results of his research are the opportunities for Virtual Community for Nurul Jadid Vocational School, namely as an Information Media by using the Website that has been owned by Nurul Jadid Vocational School by including all information related to Nurul Jadid Vocational School, Vision and Mission, Structural, and information about all Nurul Jadid Vocational School programs. The second is as a Communication Media as an opportunity to influence audiences and provide information through several social media that have been provided, for example the Whatsapp group which is used as a medium to provide information related to student activities, the last as Promotional media where Nurul Jadid Vocational School carries out promotions using social media development such as posting every activity on the instastory on Instgarm SMK Nurul Jadid.

Abstract

The aims of this research are; 1) how to implement human resource management in career development at MI Ma'arif Giriloyo; 2) how to assess human resource management at MI Ma'arif Giriloyo. This study was conducted with a qualitative approach with the type of research, namely case studies. The critical informants of this research concern the director, teacher, and staff of MI Ma'arif Giriloyo. Data collection techniques in this study are in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation. Data collection, observation, presentation, and conclusion are data analysis techniques used in this study. The conclusions of this study include the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of human resource management at MI Ma'arif Giriloyo, namely: 1) the development and development of professional and spiritually oriented guidance, namely observations to be liked to improve the quality of human resources According to professions that include a spiritual approach: more many studies in titles, meetings, assignments, driving, socialization or seminars; 2) monitoring and evaluation carried out by Ma'arif Giriloyo by leading and knowing the history of HR which includes monitoring and evaluating the performance of teachers and education staff. Teacher Performance History Monitoring and Evaluation System. In addition, career development teachers carry out missions at the end of each semester in connection with monitoring and evaluating performance with the presence of teacher learning and activities.

Abstract

This paper wants to see how far the response of educational institutions to changes in aspects of human life from manual to technological basis. All human activities will become easier to reach. Globalization brings changes in everything, including in the world of education, thus managers of educational institutions are required to always innovate in developing educational institutions, not only producing output equipped with scientific knowledge but also being able to produce graduates who are creative, skilled, and able to compete and can adapt to advances in information technology. Countless educational institutions make competition very tight. To address this, educational institutions need to have an established branding image because the majority of people make decisions in choosing educational institutions by looking at the branding of institutions such as Nurul Jadid University through trilogy and five awareness branding. The results showed that the better the branding owned by the institution, the better the interest and attention of the public to choose the institution.

Abstract

Education funds are costs that are allocated individually to meet the educational needs of children in the future. The key to success in setting up an education fund is very simple. So start preparing now and do it consistently for the duration needed by estimating costs. Estimating the cost of education will help in estimating the funds needed for the level of education, this will predict unexpected economic turmoil in the future. Cost estimation with a micro approach calculates costs based on expenditure allocations. Strategies that can be used to estimate the estimated cost of education are (1) Cost Estimation Based on Funding Sources, and (2) Using direct reports from educational institutions. The tuition fee structure is structured as follows, (1) training unit costs, (2) personal costs, (3) organizational costs and (4) training unit administration. Expenditure allocations are broken down into independently quantifiable education items (building blocks) for students, such as social assistance, teacher instruction time, and course materials.

Abstract

Today's society is more selective in choosing schools. This condition causes schools to compete with each other and show their existence. Educational institutions as service providers are required to prioritize the quality and output of their graduates. This research is aimed at analyzing the efforts of the principal of MTs Sirajul Ulum Krejengan in designing strategies to improve the school's good image in the community, as well as strategies in capturing the interest of prospective new students. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. The formulation of school principal program planning in improving the school's image includes: (1) reviewing and identifying the various strengths and weaknesses of the school, namely by making continuous improvements by considering opportunities and threats to achieve the vision and mission; (2) improve physical and non-physical conditions; and (3) conducting promotions to the general public. Activation of school resources in improving the school's image is carried out by: (1) managing the needs, competencies, and harmonization of teachers and staff; (2) improve the standard of school facilities; (3) holding regular meetings; (4) strengthening the school administration system; (5) and improve the quality of services and education. Setting targets to improve the school's image, namely realizing Adiwiyata schools and improving the quality of education, and increasing public trust in the existence of schools; (6) besides that the target application was carried out late; (7) as well as an evaluation of activities that have been realized.

Abstract

Every educational institution has its own culture that characterizes an institution or organization. This culture can distinguish between each culture in an organization with other organizations. In cultural studies, it is stated that organizational culture can determine the performance of a company or an institution, the appearance of the organization and the progress of the organization. And conversely, if the organizational culture is weak it will trigger a decrease in performance and the organization will become unstable. Organizational culture is very important in an institution or agency, in order to be able to shape one's attitudes, values ​​and behavior patterns, so that all members can work well together to achieve common goals, which can be passed on from generation to generation. Islamic organizational culture emphasizes benefit and avoids actions that violate syara' law and the implementation of Maqasid As Syari'ah, namely protecting religion, protecting soul, protecting reason, protecting offspring and protecting wealth and being able to be oriented towards success in this world and the hereafter.

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the process of internalizing the values of religious education at Baddridduja Probolinggo Middle School Full Day School. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of case study. The informants consisted of school principals, teachers, parents, and students. The research results show that; 1) The process of internalizing religious values at Badridduja Fullday School is carried out through; a) People, namely building commitment, deepening the teacher's understanding of learning tools, broadening the teacher's religious insights, and integrating religious values in subjects, b) Environment, namely familiarizing students with good deeds such as dhuha prayers in congregation, fardlu prayers, tadarus and habituation of noble morals such as charity, 4S culture (Smiles, Greetings, Greetings, Courtesy), and Tomato Culture (Please, Sorry and Thank You), c) Behavior, namely students can apply good deeds and noble character habits outside of school. 2) The implication is; a) The formation of a religious character, b) The lack of radical thoughts and attitudes from students.

Abstract

The role of the Principal in strengthening character education (Character Education) plays an important and crucial role because it becomes a policy maker and guide in the implementation of character education in schools. The purpose of this study is to see how the principal carries out his role in character building in the school he leads. This study uses a type of field review research using a qualitative approach, with data collection through; observation, interview and literature study. Then analyze the data, reduce the data, and encode the data. The subject of the research is the principal of the MIN 1 Nagan Raya school. Research Location MIN 1 Nagan Raya (Aceh). Based on the results of the study, it was shown that the school principal gave an example before applying the regulations made. Instilling character values both to students and members in other school environments such as honesty, responsibility, discipline, high social and so on. The principal also considers several things in character building, such as planning, curriculum development, learning management and so on.

Abstract

Teacher performance is the behavior of a person who produces certain work results after fulfilling a number of requirements. Where teacher performance is strongly influenced by organizational culture. The stronger the orientation of cultural values such as views on work life, time, and ethics or values will influence the behavior that has an impact on improving teacher performance. Organizational culture is an understanding of the values and norms that are important in the organization that guide behavior organizational members or developed in learning to overcome problems of external adaptation and internal integration. With an organizational culture, all school personnel will carry out tasks organization based on prevailing values and norms. If the organizational culture is good, the teacher's work will automatically have a good impact. For this reason, the role of the school principal and special efforts are needed in developing organizational culture as a value system that is understood, imbued, carried out jointly by members of the organization as a system of meaning or guidelines for organizational actors. Because the school principal's leadership is very influential, because it can give authority to influence, move and direct action and encourage the emergence of a strong will with enthusiasm and confidence for teachers, staff and students in carrying out their respective tasks for the sake of progress and provide inspiration for the school.

Abstract

The object or scope of Islamic education is very broad, because it includes formal Islamic education (educational institutions), informal Islamic education (family education) and non-formal Islamic education (pesantren and ta'lim councils). This is the very fundamental and urgent point of difference between education management and Islamic education management. This difference requires managers to have the knowledge and skills to fully and comprehensively implement management values and processes into Islamic education. Islamic education is the process of guiding physically and spiritually based on Islamic laws towards the formation of the main personality according to Islamic norms or standards. This can be seen from the goals of Islamic law. Substantially the purpose of the Shari'a which we call "Maqashid al-Shari'ah" contains benefits. Based on the results of the study, Islam views management as a virtue (mashlahah) and that goodness is in line with the objectives of shari'ah (maqashid al-Shari'ah) namely the benefit of religion, soul, lineage, intellectual property, and of course property.
