Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of professionalism, work discipline, and organizational climate on teacher performance as a key component of educational service quality. Using a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design, the study involved a census of 34 teachers in an Islamic primary school, with data collected through Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with t-tests and F-tests at a 5% significance level. The findings indicate that professionalism and organizational climate have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, while work discipline shows no significant partial effect. However, professionalism, discipline, and organizational climate simultaneously exert a significant influence on teacher performance. These results highlight the importance of strengthening teacher professionalism and creating a supportive organizational climate as strategic educational management efforts to improve teacher performance, while discipline enhancement should be aligned with workload management to ensure effective implementation

Abstract

Flow experience in mountain climbing can be understood as an individual’s state of complete absorption when facing challenges that match their abilities. This study aims to explore the meaning of flow experience in mountain climbers from a phenomenological perspective and examine its implications for educational leadership. A qualitative phenomenological approach was employed, using in-depth interviews and member checking to ensure the validity of the data. The interview results were analyzed through Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). The findings revealed five key themes of flow experience among mountain climbers: (1) engaging in meaningful experiences by enjoying nature and fostering personal and social connections, (2) achieving a state of immersion characterized by focus, safety, and self-control, (3) relying on preparation, skills, and decision-making to face climbing challenges and risks, (4) using mountain climbing as a process for self-development, reflection, and value formation, and (5) experiencing positive emotional, physical, and psychological effects. These insights suggest that the principles of flow, such as focus, intrinsic motivation, and adaptive decision-making, can be applied to educational leadership to enhance teacher engagement, decision-making under pressure, and personal development.

Abstract

The increasing competition among private educational institutions has heightened the need for effective educational management strategies to understand factors influencing parents’ school choice decisions. This study aims to analyze the influence of school image, educational service quality, and parental trust on parents’ decisions to choose Northern Green School Medan. The study is motivated by a noticeable decline in student enrollment in recent years, which reflects weakening parental preference amid intensified competition among private schools. Employing a quantitative research design, data were collected through a survey administered to parents of enrolled students and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that school image and educational service quality have a positive and significant effect on parents’ school choice decisions. Furthermore, parental trust emerges as the most dominant factor influencing parents’ decisions among the examined variables. The structural model demonstrates strong explanatory power, with an R² value of 0.843, indicating that 84.3% of the variance in parents’ school choice decisions is explained by the proposed model. These findings imply that private schools need to prioritize trust-based management practices, consistently improve the quality of educational services, and strengthen institutional image to enhance parental confidence and sustain student enrollment in a competitive educational environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the exploitation of street children as a manifestation of dysfunctional educational management and weak coordination among educational organisations, rather than merely as a poverty-related social issue. Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving street children active around the Kriyan gas station area in Jepara. The data were analysed using an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion verification. The findings reveal that child exploitation is sustained through normalised parental consent, institutional tolerance of child labour within schools, and community silence that morally legitimises these practices. Although children remain structurally enrolled in formal and non-formal education, they experience functional exclusion in the form of unequal learning time and persistent disruptions to the educational process. These conditions indicate a cycle of failure in educational management rooted in organisational complexity and weak ethical decision-making. This study contributes to educational management scholarship by introducing the concept of the educational complicity loop as an analytical framework, while offering practical implications for strengthening school leadership, improving cross-institutional coordination, and reinforcing ethical governance in education systems to better protect vulnerable learners.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Information Center Management, Early Marriage Knowledge, and Reproductive Health Counseling on adolescents’ understanding of stunting prevention. Limited utilization of youth information and counseling services, low awareness of early marriage risks, and suboptimal reproductive health counseling reduce adolescents’ preventive knowledge regarding stunting. A quantitative approach with an associative design was applied. The population consisted of high school students, with a sample selected using random sampling. Data were collected through structured questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. Analyses included instrument testing, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, F-test for simultaneous effects, and t-test for partial effects. The results indicate that Information Center Management and Early Marriage Knowledge significantly affect adolescents’ understanding of stunting prevention, while Reproductive Health Counseling shows a positive but not statistically significant effect. These findings emphasize the importance of well-managed information services and comprehensive knowledge dissemination in enhancing adolescents’ awareness and preventive behaviors. The study provides practical insights for integrating educational management, reproductive health education, and early marriage awareness into programs aimed at strengthening stunting prevention among adolescents.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of pedagogical competence, professional competence, and teacher attitudes on the effectiveness of National Plus Curriculum implementation. A quantitative explanatory approach was employed, with data collected through a census survey involving teachers. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to examine both partial and simultaneous relationships among variables. The results show that pedagogical competence, professional competence, and teacher attitudes each have a positive and statistically significant effect on the effectiveness of curriculum implementation. Simultaneously, these variables demonstrate a strong combined influence on implementation effectiveness. Among the three factors, teacher attitude exhibits the largest effect size, indicating that motivation, commitment, and openness to curriculum change play a dominant role in supporting effective implementation. These findings imply that successful implementation of the National Plus Curriculum depends not only on teachers’ instructional skills and professional expertise but also on the development of positive attitudes toward curriculum change. Therefore, professional development programs should integrate competence enhancement with strategies aimed at strengthening teachers’ motivation and readiness for curricular innovation.

Abstract

Character education is a fundamental component of elementary education, requiring not only pedagogical efforts but also effective educational management practices. This study aims to analyse how Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers implement educational management practices in developing students’ character through role modelling, religious habituation, and humanistic interaction. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research involved IRE teachers, school principals, classroom teachers, and students as key informants. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analysed using an interactive analysis model. The findings indicate that IRE teachers play a managerial role in character education by planning and modelling moral values such as honesty, responsibility, and respect; organising structured religious practices that foster discipline and order; and implementing humanistic interactions that reinforce moral development through empathetic communication and persuasive approaches. These practices collectively function as an integrated educational management process that supports character formation beyond formal instruction. The study implies that strengthening students’ character requires schools to recognise IRE teachers as key actors in educational management and to institutionalise role modelling, habituation, and relational practices as part of school-wide character governance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of digital marketing and price discount promotions on consumers’ purchase decisions of Steam games. A quantitative approach with an associative-causal research design was employed. Data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed to 100 active Steam users selected using purposive sampling. Multiple linear regression analysis was conducted using SPSS version 26 to test the proposed hypotheses. The results indicate that both digital marketing and price discount promotions have a positive and significant effect on purchase decisions, either partially or simultaneously. Among the two variables, price discount promotions demonstrate a stronger influence on consumers’ purchasing decisions compared to digital marketing strategies. These findings suggest that while digital marketing remains an important tool for increasing product awareness and engagement, discount-based promotions play a more decisive role in stimulating actual purchase behavior in digital game platforms. The study provides practical implications for digital game publishers and marketers to optimize promotional strategies by balancing persuasive digital marketing content with effective discount offerings to enhance purchasing outcomes.

Abstract

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has transformed educational systems and demands a high level of school readiness in terms of technology, organizational culture, and human resources. However, many schools remain inadequately prepared due to school leadership that has not fully adapted to digital transformation. This study aims to analyze how principals’ digital leadership influences school readiness in facing the AI era. Employing a qualitative approach, this research uses a systematic library research method by reviewing relevant scientific publications published between 2021 and 2026. The collected data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify recurring patterns, key concepts, and dominant findings related to digital leadership and school readiness. The findings reveal that principals’ digital leadership plays a significant role in enhancing school readiness through three interconnected dimensions: the formulation of a strategic digital vision and effective management of digital infrastructure, the development of a supportive digital culture within the school environment, and the facilitation of continuous teacher professional development in response to AI-driven educational demands. These dimensions collectively contribute to the creation of an adaptive and sustainable school ecosystem. The study implies that principals must function as change agents who not only provide technological resources but also strategically strengthen institutional systems, organizational culture, and human resource capacities to ensure the effective and responsible implementation of AI in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in an Islamic boarding-based bilingual junior high school and to explore its implications for institutional performance and educational quality improvement. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving school leaders, teachers, educational staff, and students. The study examined six core dimensions of TQM implementation: leadership commitment, customer focus, total involvement, continuous improvement, data-driven decision making, and systematic management practices. The findings indicate that TQM principles have been substantially integrated into institutional management and academic processes, contributing positively to performance enhancement, learning quality improvement, and infrastructure development. However, challenges persist in maintaining implementation consistency, strengthening organizational structure, and enhancing staff understanding of comprehensive TQM concepts, particularly among personnel holding multiple roles. The study implies that sustained leadership commitment, capacity building, and structured quality management systems are essential to optimize TQM effectiveness in Islamic educational institutions.
