Development of a local area network (LAN) needs a network cable such as UTP twisted pair especially for connecting hardware like personal computer with CCTV. The connection should be on the basis of IP address which is connected with switch, and then the data eventually is sent to server. Generally, in the field, a hardware network has two main connection; first, connections to electricity for switching on the software by using an electricity cable which is suitable to the need of electrical capacity; second, connection to UTP twisted network for sending the data to the server. This process can be simplified by using network cable both for sending the data to server and for electrical pathway. Some pairs of network cable which are not used for sending data to server can be occupied to convey electrical wave to switch on and to operate the hardware. In order to use network cable for multiple purposes, it needs electrical configuration such as power of ethernet (PoE). The PoE is a system to utilize the UTP twisted pair cable to transmit unoccupied power for electrical pathway so that it can increase the efficiency of system.

The manouver ability from one place to another in order to accomplish some tasks safely is a basic requirement of mobile robotics. Current robotic’s navigation systems require a ’real world’ map data, acquired by on-board sensors, to carry out simultaneous localisation and navigation (SLAM) algorithm. There are several SLAM algorithms. In this article we used SLAM gmapping using robot operating system (ROS) and laser scanner. The gmapping slam algorithm used particle filter method to localize robot pose within the environment and generate 2D occupancy grid map. The map is in gray-scale informed the free space, wall, and unexplored space. The implementation of gmapping slam conducted with turtlebot 3 from Robotics as well as 3D simulation using gazebo.

In general, irrigation watergates placed in the Manikin Irrigation Area is supporting tools for agricultural activities that implement a primary–secondary–tertiary channel system. Manikin irrigation watergate is made of iron plates with the certain size which is operated by a move up/down or rotation. This mechanism has led the dissatisfaction service problems in farmers. This study has developed smart irrigation watergate based on Arduino by replacing the lifter/rotator part using DC motor that works automatically based on the Real-time Clock sensor. This sensor sends the data time to Arduino and used as the reference to open or close the watergate. The study used a design method includes interconnecting realtime clock sensors and Arduino, build the programming control, build the DC system on watergates and interconnection to control systems and testing. The test results show that the irrigation watergate moves up and move down every 2 hours based on the data time from the real-time clock, works with a 12-hour time format and operating on 2.7-ampere current.

Aspects of robotics technology have now been able to explore and reach the entertainment, education, and health. Making robots with privileges and special expertise is closely related to the needs of the modern world that requires a device with a high capacity are useful to help the work of man. On the other hand, advanced technology is useful to complete the work that could not and did not want to do by men as a greeter job. Greeter costumer jobs is a very tedious job. So it is necessary in the field of robotics technology that is smart robot greeter customers that replace the role of humans to improve the quality of waiters, efficiency, and economical savings at shopping centers in the city of Manado. The smart robot is designed to greet the customer by giving the greeting on the customer entrance and exit shopping center. The robot system is powered with less use of multiple technologies including ultrasonic distance and PIR sensors to detect humans, servo and DC motor as an actuator of the robot, and use voice module so that the robot can speak. The robot system is also equipped with a remote control using the Android smartphone so the smart robot can perform monitoring, operation, and control over long distances. The test results describe the action of robots have been able to make the detection of costumer and activities greeting the customer with the analysis of determining the value of the parameter distance between ultrasonic sensors use trigonometry comparative analysis.

A compact integrated circuit is an intellectual property core at the heart of the decades of embedded devices on embedded systems. Using a microcontroller-based electronic module manufactured as desired or direct service of the board of Arduino as a control system for many purposes has become a certainty. Defining the problem formulations is related to the manufacture, assembly of the mechanical apparatus, and integrated wiring of several electronic modules. The acquisition of research contributions is expected to get the miniature embodiment of the physical machine equipped with a user program and perform the machine driver. The research methods consist of several steps to carry out each research objective. The miniature embodiment is carried out through (i) manufacturing and assembling to obtain the physical machine, (ii) integrating the electronic modules and all components and support systems by wiring to form an embedded system as a mini-PCB printing machine, and (iii) making a program structure based on Arduino IDE. Performing the machine driving mechanism is operating tests of calibration and moving on the axes of X, Y, and Z. Concluding based on the implementation process, testing, and analysis are carried out that the stages for performing the Mini PCB Printing Machine assisted by Arduino board with driven by GRBL Gru can be realized according to the initial design of hardware and software design.

Radio Siaran FM merupakan salah satu teknologi telekomunikasi yang digunakan untuk memberikan layanan informasi dan hiburan bagi masyarakat. Untuk menjangkau masyarakat pendengar sebagai konsumen yang ditargetkan, kualitas penerimaan siaran menjadi hal yang sangat krusial. Daya pancar dan propagasi dari pemancar dapat mempengaruhi teknis kualitas layanan pada penerima. Masalah kualitas ini menjadi obyek yang dikaji dan pendekatan yang dilakukan untuk mendapatkan hasil, dilakukan pengukuran lapangan dengan menggunakan instrumen spectrum analyzer dan ditambah GPS sebagai penentu keakuratan lokasi pengukuran. Lima radio pemcancar swasta di kota Banda Aceh yang beroperasi pada frekuensi kerja 98,5 MHz hingga 103,6 MHz menjadi obyek penelitian dan akan dievaluasi. Hasil pengukuran lapangan didapati bahwa semua stasiun radio FM yang dievaluasi memenuhi standar kuat medan minimum yang diperbolehkan (Eμ) sesuai standar untuk kategori daerah rural, 54 dBμV/m dan daerah urban, 66 dBμV/m. Hasil lain juga tidak ditemukan interferensi frekuensi dan semua stasiun masih dalam batas toleransi deviasi frekuensi kerja yang diizinkan. Dengan demikian, lima pemcancar radio FM yang dievaluasi mempunyai kualitas yang baik dan layanan yang diberikan dapat dinikmati dengan baik oleh pendengar.

Someone sometimes forgets to put their belongings so that they leave them somewhere, it will pose a risk of losing their belongings. To solve this problem, a reminder is needed so that it is expected to minimize the risk of loss. This device implements point-to-point communication from the Bluetooth Low Energy AT-09 transmitter module with Arduino Nano and the receiver module with an Android smartphone. This reminder device will activate an alarm on the Android smartphone application when the two modules are more than 5 meters away. The measured distance is converted from the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) value received by the smartphone which is affected by obstructions, packet loss, and delay. Based on the test results, at a distance of 5 meters, the system can be connected and work properly, in unobstructed conditions (Line of Sight) or obstructed conditions (Non-Line of Sight). In the blocked condition, it has a packet loss of 1.1% to 4.4%, the received signal strength (RSSI) has decreased the value to a difference of -8 dBm, and the delay time is 2 seconds.

Femtocell has been considered as an important technology to increase the cellular system capacity by bringing the base station closer to the user and shrinking the cell dimension. Basically, femtocell networks are deployed in indoor environment such as an office. Thus, femtocell placement problems are one of the important issues in planning the wireless networks, since the manual planning processes are not efficient. In this paper, the solution of femtocell placement problem in an indoor environment is solved by bat algorithm. Selecting the best position of the femtocell is the main objective so the capacity can be maximized. In a 100 trial study, the SNR can be optimized up to 34.89 dB. In conclusion, the bat algorithm is able to improve the SNR efficiently and effectively.

Fifteen level single phase multilevel inverter is constructed using power circuit consist of 7 MOSFETs, seven independents DC sources, seven diodes, and an H-Bridge circuit. Switching method used in this MLI is sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) multicarrier where the reference wave in the form of a sinusoidal wave. Multicarrier SPWM circuit is designed using electronic components such as Op-Amp that used as a comparator and some logic gates such as AND, OR and NOT gate to trigger S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S7, and H-Bridge circuit. Carrier waves used in this MLI modified from the triangle wave that having a frequency into carrier waves without frequency (DC sources) where THD that generated into 5.502%. While methods that use frequency such as Phase Disposition PWM (PD PWM), Phase Shift PWM (PS-PWM), and Carrier Overlapping PWM (CO PWM) that produces THD greater than the proposed method, this system was simulated using PSIM software.
