Abstract

Respecting the Prophets is necessary in every religion and desecrating them is punishable. In 1895 Skladanowsky Bros, started the era of filmography, and after two months Lumiere bros as well, but they didn’t get the well audience. The dramatic irony continued, and they started the filming of Jesus and showing his miracles on screens and theaters, then they got their goals and aims. Time to time western cinema showed his personality as married, as gay and as nudist Prophet, which is not only against Islamic sharīʿah and faith but its Christian religion either. In Islamic point of view, it’s offensive pictorial scenario of the past whole history. In this essay will show out those superstitions and figures out.

Abstract

In the book, “An Apology for the Life and Character of the Celebrated Prophet of Arabia, Called Mohamed, or The Illustrious,” Godfrey Higgins (1772-1833) presents “Persian empire and the oriental part of the Roman empire at the beginning of the seventh century,” “the emergence of Islam,” “the Prophet Muhammad’s (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam [SAW]) character, and mission,” “there is no god but Allah,” and “Muhammad (SAW) is the messenger of Allah.” He also compared Christianity (Bible) and Islam (Qur'an) in detailed. Higgins noted that the object of the book is to abate the spirit of intolerance that existed between Christians and Muslims. The review emphasizes the book's contribution to fostering a rational understanding of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and Islam for researchers interested in Islamic history and those who are curious about the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and Islam.

Abstract

Hijab has been applied in different forms in different civilizations and traditions since the era of first man and prophet Adam (Alayhi As-Salam). So, hijab and seclusion were practiced in many cultures long before Islam. Hijab is compulsory for women to save their modesty and chastity of all periods and times in Islam. Hijab themselves is natural for women and their innate dispositions demand it. Hijab frees women from being thought of as sexual objects of desire, or from being evaluated by their looks, or body shape rather than their minds and intellect. Studies indicate that girls and women may encounter sexual violence in their day-to-day social life in all cultures and societies.  Hijab protects adolescent girls and women from sexual harassment. Hijab is women’s shield and fortress.  The obvious fact is this, that the house is a protecting and secure place for a woman in a society. Islam does not like to go outside from the house without the essential needs. If the woman goes outside because of the essential requirement, then she should cover her whole body with a long cloth and should keep her gaze down.  Allah says “And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms.

Abstract

Voluntary abstinence from food has been a spiritual purification rite in many religions. Penitence, purification and sacrifice are the major aims. Fasting in Hinduism is the denial of the physical needs of the body for the sake of spiritual gains. Hindus observe a period of fasting during the month of ‘Shravan’ (July/August), a holy month with religious festivals such as ‘Janmastami’ (Lord Krishna’s birthday) and ‘Rakhibandhan’ (when sisters tie a ‘rakhi’ on their brothers). Many Hindus also fast all year round on certain days of week for example, on Monday for Lord Shiva and his wife Goddess Durga. According to Hindu scriptures, fasting helps to create an attunement with the Absolute by establishing a harmonious relationship between the body and the soul. The Buddhist tradition prefers to abstain from eating meat, since this involves the killing of living beings. According to the Buddhist monastic rules, the Vinaya, monks and nuns should have only two meals a day, in the early morning and before noon, and abstain from food for the rest of the day. On festive days, especially at full and new moon, laypeople also follow those rules. There is also some occasional fasting such as the fasting for Lokesvara, which is supposed to cause the birth of a son; fasting for Tara, which frees one from illness and dangers. The Tibetan Buddhist practice of Nyungne (abiding in the fast) has been gaining increased attention. It is two and a half-day practice, which involves the keeping of strict vows, silence and fasting. Fasting the lunar month of Ramadan is one of the five fundamentals of Islam. It has been an obligatory duty ordained by the Almighty Allah for all the adult observant Muslims except who are ill, traveling or pregnant. There are also some other voluntary fasting in Islam. Fasting, in Arabic called Sawm, is abstinence from eating, drinking or sexual activity from sunset to sundown during the month of Ramadan. In Islam, fasting is an important act of worship done for Allah, whereby a Muslim draws closer to his Lord. Because of fasting, the sincerity of faith and devotion to Allah should become all the more evident. The purpose of fasting is to develop God-consciousness (Taqwa), which can lead to the forth of goodness and virtue in life and hereafter. The learning of self-restrains from fasting is capable enough to lead a purer life in this world as well as to an eternal life of happiness in the next. After having a comprehensive study and finding out the similarities and dissimilarities among the fasting tradition of Hinduism, Buddhism and Islam, this paper is mainly aimed at proving the highness and glory of fasting system of Islam in gaining its material and spiritual objectives.

Abstract

The challenge I faced while teaching the inheritance course to students unfamiliar with this field and its terminology was evident in their difficulty in easily understanding the scientific material, requiring considerable time for explanation. This situation prompted me to seek a way to simplify their understanding of inheritance. Given the mathematical nature of the course and the students' familiarity with this area, so I decided to utilize this aspect to achieve my teaching objectives, eventually developing mathematical rules that clarify the distribution of inheritance among heirs. This approach not only helped me achieve my goals but also led me to connect the efforts of Muslims with mathematics, highlighting their creativity in this domain, which continues to this day. Therefore, in my teaching methodology, I relied on both library research and mathematical approaches. The research highlighted the contributions of Muslims to mathematics and I introduced some of my own rules, applying them specifically to the topic of intersex cases.
