Abstract

This research examines the topic of al- Tasāmuh in the Quran and Sunnah and how it aligns with the meaning declared in 1995. It is evident that there is a difference in meaning between the two. Those who deny al- Tasāmuh in Islam rely on a different concept that seeks to separate from religious and cultural identity and rely on secularism. This research shows that the scope of tolerance is wide in Islam, which gives Muslims and non-Muslims the right to coexist in safety. It is connected with what a person has the right to be tolerant in. As for Allah's rights, they do not fall under this right. Moreover, freedom has limits to prevent self-harm or harming others. Islam does not impose religion on people, but focuses on dialogue and persuasion. To promote positive tolerance, emphasis should be placed on teaching future generations how to interact with others, and laws should protect the rights of all without tolerance for disrespect for religious sanctities or the spread of deviant behavior. Keyword: Al-Tasāmuh; Tolerance; Quran and Sunnah; Islamophobia. Abstract

This study explores the depiction of Muslim women in Western thought, critically analyzing the entrenched stereotypes and biases. It specifically addresses three prevalent allegations: the supposed oppression of women via Islamic dress codes, incidents of violence against women in Islamic contexts, and alleged discrimination between genders under Islamic law. Utilizing a critical analytical method, the research juxtaposes Islamic teachings with Western criticisms using both Islamic and Western references. Findings indicate that Western portrayals of Muslim women often lack depth and fail to consider the socio-religious contexts of Islamic practices. For example, while the hijab is portrayed in the West as a symbol of oppression, it is often embraced by Muslim women as a mark of modesty and dignity. The study also points out that issues like domestic violence and gender discrimination are globally prevalent and not exclusive to Islamic societies. It concludes that critiques grounded in Western secular and modernist values without an understanding of the Islamic perspective lead to distorted views of Islam. This research aims to bridge understanding and foster dialogue between Western and Islamic perspectives on women's rights and status, suggesting that while some areas in Muslim societies need reform, the overarching Western critique may not fully grasp the nuanced realities of Muslim women's lives.

Abstract

This research examines creative work in Hadith studies in Ceuta due to its significance. Scholars in this region have been distinguished by their scholarly contributions, influencing others from different and being influenced by them as well. They introduced new areas in Hadith studies regarding book composition and refinement, similar to Al-Qadi 'Iyad in his book "Masyariq al-Anwar ala Sehah al-Athar," which had a clear impact on subsequent writings by scholars. This includes their discussions on "Tarajim al-Bukhari," as exemplified by Ibn Rushaid al-Sabti, whose influence extended to those who followed him and transmitted from him. They also played a prominent role in knowledge transmission in general, especially in Hadith, by categorizing books as indices, programs, proofs, dictionaries, and chains of narrators. These books among scholars contain the chains of transmission through which they reached the books of scholars, such as "Al-Ghunyah" by Al-Qadi 'Iyad, Ibn Khair al-Ishbili's Fihris, Al-Tujibi's Barnamaj, and others. They also took the lead in explaining Sahih Muslim and in preserving its narration in mosques and schools. All of this highlights that the Maghrebi and Andalusian scholarly figures went beyond mere knowledge transmission; they made valuable additions that contributed to the development of Islamic knowledge. Thus, the research objectives are to explore the contributions of Ceuta scholars in Hadith studies, evaluate their impact on others, and identify their distinctive aspects. In this study, we employed historical methodology, textual analysis, and comparative study techniques.

Abstract

The challenge I faced while teaching the inheritance course to students unfamiliar with this field and its terminology was evident in their difficulty in easily understanding the scientific material, requiring considerable time for explanation. This situation prompted me to seek a way to simplify their understanding of inheritance. Given the mathematical nature of the course and the students' familiarity with this area, so I decided to utilize this aspect to achieve my teaching objectives, eventually developing mathematical rules that clarify the distribution of inheritance among heirs. This approach not only helped me achieve my goals but also led me to connect the efforts of Muslims with mathematics, highlighting their creativity in this domain, which continues to this day. Therefore, in my teaching methodology, I relied on both library research and mathematical approaches. The research highlighted the contributions of Muslims to mathematics and I introduced some of my own rules, applying them specifically to the topic of intersex cases.

Abstract

Honey has been a subject of significant interest in Islamic culture due to its mention in the Quran and Hadith of the Prophet. The Quran describes honey as a source of healing, and the Hadith of the Prophet also speaks about its therapeutic benefits. Islamic scholars have incorporated honey into traditional medicines and written about its use in prophetic medicine. Contemporary research has increasingly focused on studying the unique properties of honey, inspired by the Quran. The approach followed in this study is descriptive and analytical. This research has shown that honey is not like other sugars and has health benefits that make it a potential cure for various diseases. However, more research is still needed to fully understand and utilize the therapeutic benefits of honey. The cooperation of researchers in prophetic medicine and specialists in modern medicine is required to further discover the benefits of honey for the treatment of various diseases, ultimately benefiting humanity. The Quran's guidance on the benefits of honey and the need for further research in this area highlight the importance of honey in Islam and its potential to contribute to human health and well-being.

Abstract

This research delves into the principles of decision-making within the Islamic vision, contrasting these with Western perspectives to highlight the unique approach Islam takes towards ethical decision-making and governance. The study emphasizes the role of morality and communal welfare in Islamic decision-making, aspects that are sometimes less emphasized in Western models, which often focus on efficiency and profitability. Utilizing a methodological analysis of primary Islamic texts, including the Quran and Hadith, alongside a review of secondary sources, the research identifies key attributes of Islamic decision-making processes. These include the emphasis on consultative processes and the integration of ethical and moral considerations into decision-making practices. Findings from the study suggest that Islamic decision-making not only considers the outcomes but also the ethical means to achieve them, promoting a holistic approach to leadership and management. The research opens pathways for integrating Islamic principles into contemporary management and governance practices, potentially enriching global management strategies with deeper ethical considerations. This comparative analysis invites further exploration into how these principles can be operationalized in modern organizational settings, suggesting a broader applicability of Islamic ethics in addressing contemporary management challenges.

Abstract

This study addresses an important issue concerning the doubts raised by modernist Arab writers regarding the authenticity of the Prophetic Sunnah, particularly their claim that fabricated Hadiths have been mixed with authentic ones. These claims, presented as original ideas by their proponents, are in fact largely based on Orientalist studies. The significance of this study lies in defending the integrity of the Sunnah and demonstrating the methodology developed by Hadith scholars to preserve it. The research aims to explore these claims, trace their origins, and provide a well-grounded response to these assertions. The main challenge is to expose these misconceptions and clarify that the Sunnah has been carefully safeguarded. The study follows a historical, analytical, and critical approach, examining the claims of fabrication, the foundations upon which they are based, their origins, and offering a critique. The key findings reveal that these modern critiques are not based on strong evidence, but rather stem from Orientalist sources, which are generally characterized by a lack of intellectual honesty. Furthermore, the research shows that Hadith scholars meticulously identified and classified fabricated Hadiths, ensuring the integrity of the Sunnah.

Abstract

This research examines Nawazil books as a vital indirect source for insights into Islamic societies across specific historical periods. Originally intended to provide legal rulings, these texts reveal the political, social, and economic conditions of their times. The study emphasizes the significance of Nawazil works, particularly from Andalusia and Morocco, offering a unique perspective on daily life and socio-economic interactions often missing from direct historical sources. The main goal is to assess how these rulings can aid in reconstructing historical contexts beyond their religious functions. The research problem addresses the extraction of historical facts from texts initially designed for legal judgments. Utilizing a historical and descriptive-analytical approach, the study explores texts like al-Ajwiba al-Kubra by al-Fassi Abdelkader. Findings show that Nawazil books provide valuable, often overlooked, details that can supplement traditional historical sources with intricate accounts of local realities.

Abstract

This study holds significant importance as it investigates the various challenges that students face in comprehending academic texts, particularly in the study of Hadith in non-Arabic speaking countries. The main objective of this study is to identify the factors contributing to students' difficulties in mastering the subject, such as weak language skills, lack of practical application, and limited access to original sources. A key issue in this context is the students' reliance on memorization rather than deep understanding. The study employs a qualitative approach, drawing on the researcher's personal experience in Morocco, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar, along with observations of students at Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University. The findings reveal that insufficient Arabic language education, coupled with inadequate emphasis on discussion skills, has contributed to the difficulties in understanding the Hadith sciences. As a result, the study recommends a more balanced distribution of the curriculum across all academic years, greater use of primary sources in teaching, and increased practical training in Hadith studies to enhance students' comprehension of the subject. Moreover, it is advised to increase the credit hours allocated to Hadith sciences and Takhreej to ensure better understanding.
