Abstract

Seorang mahasiswa yang memiliki segudang aktivitas dan mengalami kendala dalam mengatur waktu dalam kegiatan perkuliahan, organisasi dan permasalahan hidup dapat mengalami stres. Sehingga mahasiswa membutuhkan cara untuk menghilangkan stres yang dialaminya, salah satunya dengan melihat tayangan humor. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan tingkat stres mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi UIN Raden Fatah Palembang antara sebelum dan sesudah diberikan tayangan humor. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen kuantitatif. Pada penelitian ini desain eksperimen yang digunakan adalah single group pre and post test design yaitu desain eksperimen yang hanya menggunakan satu kelompok subjek dan dilakukan pengukuran sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan terhadap subjek (Latipun, 2011). Hasil penelitian ini adalah humor tidak berpengaruh terhadap stres mahasiswa yang dibuktikan dengan uji t berpasangan menggunakan software SPSS 16.0 dengan nilai signifikan (0,228 > 0,05). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa humor yang ditampilkan tidak berpengaruh terhadap pengalaman stres orang yang sedang diuji.

Abstract

The methodology in this experimental study aims to examine the effect of positive thinking training to increase the level of academic self-efficacy in students. This research was conducted on 30 students of the Faculty of Psychology UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. In this study, the subjects were divided into two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is a difference between the group that was given positive thinking training (experimental) and not given positive thinking training (control). This study uses a Randomized Pre-Post Test Control Group Design. Positive thinking training was conducted in two meetings. This data collection was carried out using the academic self-efficacy scale method which was made in the form of a questionnaire. Then for data analysis, using the technique of Kolmogorov Smirnov, and Shafiro Wilk using SPSS 22 Statistics for Windows. And test the hypothesis by using the Wilcoxon test on SPSS 22 Statistics for Windows. The results of the Wilcoxon hypothesis test showed that there was no significant difference between the experimental and control groups (p = 0.151 > 0.05 ). However, after being given treatment in the form of positive thinking training, there was a significant difference, namely being (p = 0.029 < 0.05 ). Thus, positive thinking can be one way to increase academic self-efficacy in students. Conclusion: There is an effect of positive thinking training on academic self-efficacy for students of the Islamic Psychology Faculty of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang.

Abstract

As a social being one form of caring for others is empathy. It is not uncommon in today's world for young people to lack empathy for each other and therefore do research to see a person's empathy by using experimental research that uses film therapy asa form of treatment from this study. The study is also aimed at seeing the effectiveness of film therapy in improving the empathy of university psychology student uin raden fatah palembang. The method of research in this study uses experimentation, using an observational sampling technique. The research sample of 30 students in uin raden fatah palembang. The design used was non-randomized the pre-testing posttest control design group. The data was analyzed using a SPSS test with an enhanced sample of the test that a 2-tailed value would be. 0044 > 0.05. Studies have shown that significant anatomas of film therapy are having a positive effect on a person's empathy. Thus, it may be concluded that the treatment given in the form of film therapy affects the empathy of the psychological student at the islamic university of raden fatah palembang from the pre-test and post-test experimental groups before and after it was given the "still Alice" movie

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of room temperature on the learning concentration of psychology students in class PI3. This research was conducted at the Psychology Faculty of Raden Fatah University, Palembang, with a sample of all students of the PI3 class of the psychology faculty. The method used in this research is quantitative with a quasi-experimental research type. The research design used is static group design. The data analysis of this study used an unpaired sample t-test, namely the independent sample t-test. The results of this study indicate that the value of sig. (2-tailed) obtained is 0.000 <0.05 so it can be concluded that H0 is accepted. So it can be said that the room temperature has an influence on the concentration of studying psychology students in the PI3 class of the State Islamic University of Raden Fatah, Palembang.

Abstract

Technology is a thing we can not avoid. The advancement of this technology is very helpful to students to find and get science quickly and learn can be done anywhere and anytime with the help of sophisticated communication tools. But in addition to the benefits that user can have, there is a negative impact such as emergence of lazy to perform social interaction and causes the decrease of concentration power especially when learning that does not benefit students become depressed as well as separate from its social environment. The purpose of this study is to know the negative impact of the use of gadgets that affect social interaction on students of Psychology UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. The research method used is predictive correlation with questionnaires as research instruments. The results of this study show the negative impact of the use of gadgets experienced by students in the form of lazy, physical fatigue, addiction resulting in money spending to buy pulses, reduced learning concentrations and other shapuings. The highest negative impact is the lazy student social activity of 81.81% and reduced the power of student concentration that even reaches 100% of the total students of the gadget user given the questionnaire.

Abstract

The K-Pop world is now starting to go global, many groups of teenagers admire the artist who lives in the country of ginseng. The purpose of this study is to find out how K-Pop influences the lifestyle of teenagers in college students such as how to dress, buying idol goods, and so on, besides that it is also to find out how the impact is getting from the K-Pop world. This research method is a quantitative research with a pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this study were determined using a simple random sampling technique, in which the sample was 30 students of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. The data were analyzed using the SPSS test with the Paired Sample Test technique where the value of Sig (2-tailed) was 0.023 0.05. The results showed that there was a significant influence between the world of K-Pop and the lifestyle of college students. Thus, it can be concluded that the K-Pop world influences the lifestyle of Raden Fatah State Islamic University students from the results of the Pre-Test and Post-Test of the experimental group, before and after being given treatment in the form of watching the music video "Make A Wish" by NCT ​​U

Abstract

One of the human needs is to interact with the people around him. Social interaction is a dynamic social relationship to build social relationships. Adolescence is a period of developmental transition towards adulthood, involving biological, cognitive and social changes. The urge to affiliate appears as well as with adolescents because as social beings they have various kinds of needs that must be met. Various means of communication that can be used in interaction, a means of communication that is currently a trend among adolescents is communication using social networks. This study aims to determine the effect of social networking on the needs of adolescent clients in the Islamic Psychology Study Program, Faculty of Psychology, Raden Fatah State Islamic University. This research is a quantitative study with a sample of 34 adolescents aged 18-21 years who come from students of the Islamic Psychology Study Program, Faculty of Psychology, Raden Fatah State Islamic University. The sampling technique used is random sampling. The independent variable in this study is social networking, while the dependent variable is the need for affiliation. The method of analysis of the data used is the method = 0,339 scale with the r , p & 0,05; gt .The research through kusioner propagated in 34 respondents .5 % significant: 0,05 5 .Obtained 0,339 table of r .From the data r table smaller than on the validity of the data .This suggests that social networking is influencing the affiliation student Uin Raden Fatah Palembang the 2020

Abstract

A lot of theory and research said that breakfast can improve someone’s short term memory. The purpose of this research is to find out wether breakfast really improve short term memory or not. This research used quasi-experimental with control group design. There’s 30 students of Psychology students at Raden Fatah State Islamic University Palembang, 15 as subjects who were given breakfast, 15 as control group subjects who were not given breakfast. Subjects have an age range between 19-20 years old, all of subject are those who are accustomed to breakfast. Subject given pempek as the breakfast. Memory test used is biopsycologytes, performed twice, before breakfast and 3 minute after material. The result of this study are there is a significant difference in short term memory scores between subjects given breakfast and subjects not given breakfast with p = 0,00 withpaired sample t-test technique. Conclusion of this research is, breakfast has an effect to short term memory.

Abstract

Lifestyle is broadly defined as a way of life that is identified by how a person spends their time (activity), what they consider important in their environment (interest), and what they think about themselves and also the world. around (opinion). Research The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the hangout lifestyle on purchasing decisions at contemporary coffee shops for college students. The type of research used is quantitative through an associative approach. The sampling technique is non-probability sampling using 50 respondents, namely consumers who have made a purchase at a modern coffee shop at least once. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire on Googleform with a Likert scale of 1-4 with a total of 21 statement items. After the data is collected then perform data analysis techniques. The data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS 23.0. The results of this study indicate that the hangout lifestyle (X1) has a significant influence on purchasing decisions. The hangout lifestyle has a simultaneous influence on purchasing decisions in contemporary coffee shops for students.

Abstract

Every institution has their own culture which are differentiate them with the others. Work culture is a set of attitude, belief, values, and regulations which are determine how the employee interacts with the others. Furthermore, work family conflict is a conflict which is happened because of individual experiences incompatible between work and family roles. Employee who has this conflict cannot balance the role in work and family. Age in this research refers to millennial and non-millennial age. Millennial age is age under 40 and non-millennial age is age upper 40. Finally, employee engagement is a dedication and spirit of the employee to the organization. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of work culture and work family conflict to employee engagement with age as a moderating variable. The sample of this research is 150 employees in sharia financial services of Yogyakarta and area around Yogyakarta. The data analysis technique which is used in this research is multiple regression with split sample in age. Age is divided into millennial and non-millennial age. The results show that work culture has a positive effect on employee engagement in both of groups. Additionally, work family conflict has positive effect on employee engagement in non-millennial age and work family conflict has negative effect on employee engagement in millennial age.
