Abstract

The childfree phenomenon—voluntarily choosing not to have children—has emerged as a controversial lifestyle choice in Indonesia, generating significant discourse around reproductive autonomy, cultural values, and mental well-being. This study examines the Culture Shock Childfree Phenomenon in Indonesia from A Biopsychological and Humanistic Perspective, analyzing it through integrated biopsychological and Maslow’s humanistic theoretical frameworks. Employing a library research methodology, this study systematically reviews and synthesizes scholarly literature, including peer-reviewed journal articles, books, and empirical studies from multiple databases, to construct a comprehensive theoretical analysis. The biopsychological perspective reveals that childfree decisions are influenced by complex interactions between reproductive health conditions, neurobiological factors, environmental contexts, and psychological characteristics across physiological, ontogenetic, evolutionary, and functional dimensions. Maslow’s humanistic framework demonstrates that contemporary redefinitions of human needs position childfree choices as expressions of self-actualization and personal autonomy rather than deficiencies. However, Indonesia’s collectivist cultural orientation generates substantial social stigma and psychological pressure against childfree individuals, resulting in culture shock experiences characterized by value conflicts, social isolation, and identity negotiation. The findings suggest that childfree individuals in Indonesia navigate tensions between personal autonomy and cultural expectations, requiring mental health support systems and broader societal awareness to reduce stigmatization. This research contributes theoretically by integrating biological and humanistic perspectives on reproductive choice, and practically by informing counseling approaches and social policies that respect reproductive diversity while acknowledging cultural contexts.

Abstract

This research analyzes strategies for enhancing Service Continuity through the integration of Organizational Resilience (OR) and Business Continuity Management (BCM), with Digital Technology as a moderating variable. The study focuses on PT. ABC, a heavy equipment rental company operating in a critical sector that faces operational challenges arising from supply chain disruptions, manual systems, and limited digital coordination. These circumstances necessitate the implementation of an organizational resilience strategy capable of ensuring sustainable service continuity. A quantitative approach was adopted using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The OR construct is modeled as a second-order formative construct comprising four dimensions: Anticipation, Readiness to Respond, Synchronization, and Proactive Learning. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed among respondents directly involved in the company’s risk management and operational activities. The analysis is further supported by Importance–Performance Map Analysis (IPMA) to identify strategic priorities for improving service performance. The results reveal that OR significantly influences BCM, and that BCM has both direct and indirect (mediating) effects on Service Continuity. Moreover, Digital Technology strengthens the relationship between BCM and Service Continuity, demonstrating that the integration of cloud-based systems, real-time monitoring, and digital access enhances organizational responsiveness to disruptions. Among the OR dimensions, Readiness to Respond and Proactive Learning emerge as key factors in service performance improvement. In conclusion, the integration of Organizational Resilience and Business Continuity Management, supported by the adoption of digital technology, substantially enhances resilience and service sustainability within critical operational sectors.

Abstract

The East Sumatra Highway, particularly the Pekanbaru–Simpang Lago section in Pelalawan Regency, is a strategic route that supports national economic growth and is part of the National Road network, which experiences congestion due to heavily loaded vehicles. As the need for road infrastructure intensifies, the government faces limitations in the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN). Therefore, alternative financing mechanisms such as State Sharia Securities (SBSN) and the Government and Business Entity Cooperation (PPP) scheme are required. This study aims to identify and assess the risks in the East Sumatra National Road Preservation PPP Project using a type-1 questionnaire-based descriptive analysis approach. The research respondents consist of representatives from the Party in Charge of the Cooperation Project (PJPK) and the Implementing Business Entity (BUP). The results indicate that PJPK faces 63 risks, with the main classifications including location, design, construction, operations, revenue, political, financial, force majeure, sponsorship, interface, asset ownership, and strategy. Meanwhile, BUP faces 60 risks under similar classifications, except that location risks fall solely under the responsibility of PJPK. These findings highlight the importance of proportional risk sharing according to the authority and responsibilities of each party. This research contributes to the development of risk mitigation strategies and supports decision-making for PPP-based infrastructure project financing. For future research, the use of the fuzzy logic method is recommended to reinforce risk weight allocation and to broaden the respondent base from both parties, thereby producing more representative results.

Abstract

The Surajaya Stadium Tribune foundation consists of 772 concrete piles divided into three zones with varying compression and tensile capacities, necessitating verification for safety and efficiency. This study evaluates the effectiveness of static versus dynamic testing methods for determining the tensile capacity of these piles. The analysis employs Driving Record, Pile Driving Analyzer (PDA), and CAPWAP methods, focusing on three evaluation approaches: Minimum Bearing Capacity Factor (FDDmin), Average Bearing Capacity Factor (FDDavg), and CAPWAP Friction Bearing Capacity. Results indicate that all methods yield a safety factor (SF) exceeding 2, confirming compliance with design criteria, with average SF of 2.73 (FDDmin), 3.02 (FDDavg), and 2.51 (CAPWAP). Additionally, substituting static tensile tests with modified dynamic tests can save up to 36 days and Rp 1,299,077,600 in costs. While dynamic methods offer efficiency, they may compromise data accuracy, highlighting the need for experienced vendors and calibrated equipment to enhance testing precision.

Abstract

The SME “Ma Utik” is a household industry in Cilembu Village, Sumedang Regency, West Java, specializing in processing Cilembu cassava into chips. Despite its market potential, the SME faces challenges including limited production capacity, informal supplier partnerships, and ineffective marketing. This study aims to formulate strategies for the issue discussed by identifying supply chain conditions, evaluating business performance using key performance indicators (KPIs), and determining strategic priorities based on their influence within the system. A descriptive qualitative method was applied using three analytical approaches: Hayami analysis to measure cost efficiency and value added; KPI evaluation to assess five aspects—production, marketing, raw material supply, human resources, and finance; and the Analytical Network Process (ANP) to prioritize business improvement strategies. The results show that Ma Utik’s business system remains simple and unstandardized, with primary issues in production and marketing. Most performance indicators are still at the initial to intermediate stages, falling short of established targets. ANP findings highlight three key strategic indicators: distribution reach, process efficiency, and cassava raw material availability. The highest-priority strategy, with a score of 0.16, is Strategy C—developing digital marketing channels (e-commerce and social media). This strategy is deemed most relevant to expanding market reach and enhancing product competitiveness.

Abstract

The presence of bangkalan disease has proven detrimental to Montong durian farmers in Parigi Moutong. Various control efforts have been made but have yielded no significant results. This study aims to determine the behavior of Montong durian farmers in controlling the attack of bangkalan disease. The study was conducted in Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi, specifically in Tolai Village (Torue District), Buranga Village (Ampibabo District), and Sumber Sari Village (South Parigi District), using quantitative methods and survey techniques with structured questionnaires and in-depth interviews involving 10 farmers from each village, totaling 30 respondents. The findings indicate that farmers’ knowledge about the causes of bangkalan disease falls into the low category. Adequate levels of education and years of farming experience have not provided effective solutions to overcome the problem. Farmers generally expressed dissatisfaction with pesticide-based control methods, even though they have had to increase both the frequency and dosage of application. Because the causative agent of bangkalan disease has not yet been identified, many Montong durian farmers have chosen to cease treatment and harvesting, as the risk of loss is too great. This phenomenon reflects a strong relationship between uncontrollable biotic factors and the social as well as psychological dynamics of the farmers. Plant diseases not only threaten productivity but also erode farmers’ hopes for successful harvests. Consequently, their impacts extend to the behavioral and mental well-being of Montong durian farmers, which may eventually endanger the sustainability of the agricultural production system in affected regions—in this case, the future potential of Montong durian cultivation in Parigi Moutong Regency.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has encouraged companies to adopt customer-centric marketing strategies that focus on consumer satisfaction. The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science opens up opportunities to improve data analysis accuracy, personalize experiences, and make real-time decisions. However, many companies still experience a gap between the potential of technology and the optimal implementation of strategies. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of integrating AI and Data Science into customer-centric marketing strategies based on customer satisfaction. A qualitative approach was used with participants including marketing managers, strategy teams, and active consumers. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis, then analyzed using a thematic-inductive approach with triangulation of sources for validity. The research findings indicate that the integration of AI and Data Science enhances market segmentation accuracy, enriches customer experience through personalization, and strengthens real-time data-driven decision-making. There is a positive correlation between the use of this technology and increased consumer satisfaction. However, challenges include the need for strict data governance, skill gaps in human resources, and high initial investment requirements. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of developing technological capabilities and human resources to maximize the benefits of AI and data science in marketing strategies, while maintaining consumer trust and loyalty in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Financial technology (fintech) has expanded access to financial services in Indonesia but has also heightened risks of digital crimes such as identity theft, online fraud, phishing, and malware attacks. In Banten Province, the rapid growth of fintech platforms is coupled with low digital financial literacy, making the public more vulnerable. This study examines the role of Bank Indonesia's digital financial literacy in preventing financial crimes in Banten Province using a qualitative approach with interviews, observations, and documentation studies, analyzed thematically. Findings reveal that the Bank Indonesia Banten Representative Office plays a strategic role through three main functions: (1) as a regulator emphasizing literacy as early prevention; (2) as a facilitator conducting educational programs directly and online; and (3) as a supervisor monitoring and evaluating program effectiveness. Digital financial crimes in the region have risen in both frequency and complexity, with perpetrators exploiting low literacy through phishing, illegal loans, impersonation of official institutions, and emotional manipulation. This highlights digital literacy as a primary community safeguard. In Serang City, the literacy program is delivered through seminars, training, workshops, transaction simulations, and digital channels such as social media, webinars, and educational videos. The inclusive approach is tailored to varying levels of understanding and targets students, MSMEs, and the elderly, ensuring broad community engagement in crime prevention.

Abstract

Every business actor expects their products to be recognized by the wider community, basically consumers will buy a well-known brand because they feel safe with something that is already known. People can distinguish products from each other by looking at the logo, shape and image, called brand awareness. The marketing communication strategy used by Kaywood Watches to attract buyers lies in its innovative, artistic and trendy design, which is also very suitable for use in special events and can be used as gifts, and is made of ebony wood, sonokeling, teak wood and maple wood. This research focuses on the Communication Strategy of Bank Indonesia's Assistance Program for Fostered MSMEs. The theory used to analyze is SWOT Analysis. This research uses a descriptive research method, where the researcher not only describes or explains the problems researched according to the facts, but is also supported by questions by conducting direct interviews about the object of the research, namely Kaywood's marketing communication strategy through social media in building Brand Awareness. Then, the data can be collected, compiled, explained, and analyzed accompanied by problem solving or solutions according to the problem being researched. The findings for the Communication Strategy of Bank Indonesia's Assistance Program for Fostered MSMEs are by providing product assistance by providing names and logos Institutional strengthening in the form of providing opportunities to participate in marketing events and exhibitions, as well as expanding cooperation with external parties. Technical assistance is in the form of providing training, research and facilities to fostered MSMEs. Financing is in the form of providing working capital loan assistance to fostered MSMEs that can be used to purchase machinery and raw materials. The social media used by Kaywood is digital marketing through Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, Shopee and Blibli as well as Lazada.

Abstract

Background: The fingerprint registration system has been implemented at Tangerang City Hospital since 2024 for all clinics as an effort to digitize outpatient services. However, the implementation of this system for patients with mental disorders such as schizophrenia has created access barriers, such as anxiety, ignorance, and emotional resistance. Long waiting times also hinder patient compliance with follow-up visits. Objective: This study aims to explore the experiences of schizophrenia patients and their family caregivers regarding the fingerprint registration system, waiting times, and interactions with healthcare professionals. This study also develops policy recommendations based on the experiences of service users. Methods: This qualitative study used a phenomenological approach using in-depth interviews with 20 informants (family members, healthcare professionals, registration coordinators, the Head of Medical Records and the Head of the Yanmed Work Team), as well as non-participatory observation and focus group discussions (FGDs). Analysis was conducted based on content. Results: Patients with schizophrenia experienced emotional, technical, and psychological barriers in the fingerprinting process. This non-inclusive system caused stress and discomfort, resulting in low compliance with follow-up visits. Waiting times exceeding two hours also worsened patients' psychological well-being. Most informants suggested a dedicated pathway and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for mental-friendly services as alternative policies. Conclusion: The fingerprint-based outpatient service policy is not yet inclusive of vulnerable groups such as schizophrenia patients. Reformulation of SOPs and policies for mental-friendly services based on empathy, efficient service duration, and alternative identity verification methods is needed.
