Abstract

This study aims to analyze the employment rate of SMK graduates majoring in DKV in the commercial areas of North Jakarta and to map the spatial distribution of graduates' employment locations. With the growth of the creative economy in urban areas, North Jakarta has become a key location due to its numerous active commercial zones. This study employed a quantitative descriptive research method. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires distributed to SMK graduates in North Jakarta. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics to assess employment rates, and NNA with the aid of geographic information system software (ArcGIS) to determine employment distribution patterns. The results of this study indicate that the employment rate of SMK graduates in North Jakarta is quite good. The results of the NNA spatial analysis show of 0.879 and a z-score of -0.161102, indicating that the distribution of graduates' work locations is random. This pattern indicates that employment opportunities for graduates in the creative economy are evenly distributed across all commercial zones in North Jakarta and are not concentrated in any particular industrial cluster. This study concludes that the number of commercial areas in North Jakarta is closely related to opportunities for creative workforce absorption

Abstract

Flooding is a recurring hydrometeorological disaster in watershed areas characterized by diverse physical environmental conditions, including Bantaeng Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Variations in topography from upstream to downstream areas, slope gradient, soil type, geological conditions, rainfall, and land use patterns significantly influence flood vulnerability and risk. This study aims to spatially model integrated flood vulnerability and risk based on physical environmental and watershed characteristics in Bantaeng Regency. The research employs a Geographic Information System (GIS)-based approach using weighted overlay analysis of key physical parameters, including rainfall, slope, soil type, geology, elevation, and land use. Flood hazard and vulnerability were analyzed separately and subsequently integrated to produce flood risk maps. The results indicate that high to very high flood risk zones are predominantly concentrated in lowland and downstream watershed areas, particularly in regions with gentle slopes, fine-textured soils, and intensive built-up land use. Furthermore, the spatial analysis reveals that several road networks and public facilities are located within high-risk flood zones, potentially disrupting socio-economic activities. This study contributes to the development of integrated GIS-based flood risk modeling and provides essential insights to support regional planning, watershed management, and flood mitigation strategies at the local scale.

Abstract

Hydrometeorological disasters continue to increase, both in frequency and intensity, thereby necessitating rapid disaster information with high spatial resolution. Official data often requires a lengthy verification process, making it unable to fully capture on-the-ground conditions in detail at the time of the event. This study analyzes the spatiotemporal patterns of flash flood impacts based on Instagram crowdsourced data from the Pauh, Padang City. The method used is quantitative descriptive analysis, utilizing posts during the disaster period. The data was validated based on time, location, and content relevance, then analyzed using a Geographic Information System. The results show that Instagram is capable of recording the distribution of affected areas, the progression of disaster conditions, and community dynamics from the event phase through the post-disaster phase in a rapid, detailed, and contextual manner.

Abstract

Despite its designation as a National Priority Lake, Lake Singkarak faces severe environmental and institutional challenges due to unmanaged land-use intensification in its buffer zone. This study analyzes spatial land-use dynamics within the Lake Singkarak buffer zone and evaluates the governance implications of its national priority status across Solok and Tanah Datar Regencies. Employing a mixed-methods approach, GIS spatial techniques—including buffering, overlay analysis, and building digitization—were integrated with qualitative intergovernmental interviews. Spatial findings reveal significant encroachment, with 792 structures occupying the core buffer zone (<50 m) and higher development intensity in Tanah Datar Regency (160.40 ha non-residential vs. 86.66 ha residential land). Institutionally, the national priority mandate lacks effective cross-level coordination, resulting in overlapping authorities, weak land-use control, and fragmented policy enforcement. Consequently, integrating high-resolution spatial monitoring into multi-level governance frameworks is essential to align national conservation mandates with local spatial enforcement.

Abstract

Unequal distribution of healthcare facilities remains a challenge in achieving equitable public services, particularly in the proposed expansion area of East Cirebon Regency, West Java Province. This study aims to analyze the spatial distribution pattern and service coverage of hospitals and public health centers using spatial analysis methods. The applied methods include Average Nearest Neighbor (ANN) to identify distribution patterns, Kernel Density to analyze settlement density, Network Analysis (Service Area) to evaluate accessibility based on distance and travel time, and Location-Allocation to determine optimal service coverage. Spatial data consisting of administrative boundaries, settlements, road networks, hospitals, and public health centers were processed using ArcGIS 10.8. The ANN results indicate a dispersed distribution pattern with a ratio value of 1.264 (Z-score 2.57; p-value 0.009915). Service area analysis shows that healthcare facilities cover 66.55% of the area within a 6,000-meter radius, while 33.45% remains underserved. Travel-time analysis reveals uneven accessibility influenced by road network limitations. Location-Allocation analysis indicates that 77.87% of residential buildings are optimally served within a 15-minute emergency travel time. Overall, although healthcare facilities are relatively well distributed, alignment with settlement density and road accessibility remains suboptimal, highlighting the need for improved spatial planning to support regional expansion readiness.
