Abstract

The study analyzes the human resource development strategy at PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Kota Parepare and its impact on employee performance. Using a descriptive qualitative method, the study found that PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Kota Parepare successfully implemented effective training such as On the Job Training (OJT) and Off the Job Training (Off-JT), which enhanced employees' skills and knowledge. This strategy improved productivity, efficiency, adaptability to changes, employee satisfaction, retention, and a positive work culture. In conclusion, the human resource development strategy at PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Kota Parepare has improved employee performance and had a positive impact on the company. This strategy must continue to be implemented and adjusted to meet labor market needs to ensure optimal employee performance

Abstract

This research aims at finding out whether the use of the building word method is effective in improving students' vocabulary mastery. This research is an experimental research which the experimental group was pre-tested and post tested. The population in this research is all X Grade students at MA Amaliyah Guppi Mamuju. The sample of the research is the grade X students of MA Amaliyah Guppi which was taken using Cluster sampling technique. The data was obtained through vocabulary test that consists of 50 questions. The result of the study shows that the use of the building word method is effective in improving students' vocabulary mastery at the class X students of MA. Amaliyah Guppi. The result of the study shows that there are significant differences in the students' vocabulary after treatments were given. The result of the value of Sig. (2- tailed) .000 is smaller than the probability significance value of 0.05 and the calculated t-test is greater than the t-table value where 5.267>2.093. Simply, the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that the students' vocabulary mastery increased effectively by using building word method.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the responsibility of parking managers in collecting parking fees in Indonesia from legal and accounting perspectives. The research method used is normative legal research with a statutory approach and a conceptual approach. The results showed that the responsibility of parking managers in collecting parking fees in Indonesia is still not optimal. There are still many problems related to negligence of parking managers, extortion practices, lack of supervision, potential for civil lawsuits, and discrepancies between regional tax regulations and applicable accounting standards. To overcome these problems, a comprehensive effort is needed from various stakeholders, including local governments, law enforcement officials, tax accountants, and parking managers themselves. Strict law enforcement, regulatory harmonization, increased supervision, as well as increased awareness and legal compliance of parking managers are key to realizing the effectiveness of parking fee management in accordance with applicable legal and accounting principles to optimize parking fee revenue as one of the sources of local revenue, as well as to achieve social justice for the community.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ active participation in learning Hortatory Exposition Text through the implementation of Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) in class XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Palu. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using Kemmis and McTaggart’s model, conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting stages. The research instrument was an observation sheet containing five indicators of active participation, adapted from Suryosubroto and Sudjana. The results showed a significant increase in student participation from the pre-cycle (25%), cycle I (55%), to cycle II (85%). The findings indicate that CRT effectively creates contextual and empowering English learning by linking materials to students’ local culture. This study concludes that CRT can be an alternative strategy for English teachers to enhance students’ active participation and learning motivation.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of using Personal Vocabulary Notes (PVN) in enriching the vocabulary of students at MAN 1 Mamuju. The research focused on two main questions: (1) How does the PVN method improve students’ vocabulary in terms of nouns? and (2) How does the PVN method improve students’ vocabulary in terms of verbs? The research was conducted through Classroom Action Research (CAR) with two cycles, each consisting of four meetings. Data were collected using vocabulary tests and observation sheets, involving 30 students from class A. The findings revealed a significant improvement in students’ vocabulary between cycle I and cycle II. Students showed greater progress in the second cycle, with the mean score rising from 67.05% in cycle I to 85.90% in cycle II, which falls under the “very good” category. These results indicate that the PVN method effectively enhanced students’ vocabulary. Initially, their vocabulary level was categorized as low, but by the end of cycle II, it had reached a high level.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance the motivation and learning interest of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 15 Palu in Indonesian language subjects through the implementation of the TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) model. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects were 30 students of class VIII B, consisting of 15 male and 15 female students. Data were collected through observation, motivation questionnaires, and achievement tests. The findings revealed a significant improvement. In the pre-cycle, only 23% of students achieved mastery with low motivation. After applying TPACK in the first cycle, mastery increased to 50% with moderate motivation, and in the second cycle, it reached 90% with high motivation. This improvement was also reflected in students’ active participation during discussions and their ability to analyze speech texts based on local culture. Therefore, the implementation of TPACK proved effective in creating interactive and meaningful learning while improving students’ motivation and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research aims to improve the ability to analyze the structure of response texts of class VII B students of SMP Negeri 15 Palu through the Think Talk Write Learning Model. This type of research was carried out in two cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II, each cycle has planning, action implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects in this study were class VII B students of SMP Negeri 15 Palu with a total of 25 students. Data collection techniques used were documentation, tests, and observations. All data obtained were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive. The results of this study indicate that the ability to analyze the structure of response texts of class VII B students in each cycle increased. Based on data in the pre-cycle, the completeness of student learning outcomes was only 23 students with a percentage of 92% of 25 students. After implementing the cycle I by applying the Think Talk Write model, students were able to obtain grades according to the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) as many as 15 students with a percentage of 60%. Then in cycle II the number of students who were able to obtain grades according to the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) increased to 23 students with a percentage of 92%. Thus, it can be concluded that using the Think Talk Write method can improve the ability to analyze the structure of response texts of Class VII B students of SMP Negeri 15 Palu.

Abstract

This study positions customary land not merely as an object of agrarian law but as a reflection of the complex relationship between state entities, local traditions, and the human rights of indigenous communities, which are constantly adapting to the demands of modernisation and the need for legal certainty. Using a normative legal approach and socio-legal analysis, the discourse on the existence and protection of customary rights in Indonesia illustrates the contestation between formal recognition dominated by the national registration system and local practices that still rely on customary values, structures, and legitimacy. This dynamic demands strengthening legal harmonization mechanisms, innovation in institutional instruments, and sensitivity to state policies so that substantive justice and social sustainability for indigenous communities can be realised within the framework of national agrarian law.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran literasi berbahasa Indonesia terhadap keterampilan berbahasa siswa di MA Guppi Mamuju. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas 2 MA Guppi Mamuju, dengan sampel yang dipilih sebanyak 24 siswa yang diambil secara purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes keterampilan berbahasa Indonesia yang mencakup aspek membaca, menulis, dan berbicara. Prosedur pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pemberian pretest sebelum pembelajaran dimulai, dilanjutkan dengan intervensi berupa pembelajaran literasi berbahasa Indonesia selama 8 pertemuan, dan diakhiri dengan posttest setelah pembelajaran selesai. Teknik analisis data menggunakan SPSS versi 25 dengan uji t untuk membandingkan perbedaan skor pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan pada keterampilan berbahasa Indonesia siswa setelah mengikuti pembelajaran literasi. Berdasarkan uji t, nilai sig. sebesar 0,000 yang lebih kecil dari 0,05, menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran literasi berbahasa Indonesia berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berbahasa siswa. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran literasi berbahasa Indonesia dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbahasa siswa MA Guppi Mamuju, yang berdampak pada kemampuan akademik dan komunikasi mereka di masa depan.

Abstract

Nonverbal communication in the classroom is as essential as verbal interaction in shaping effective teaching and learning. This study explored students’ perceptions of their English teacher’s nonverbal communication in class XI IPS 2 at SMAN 1 Pangale. The findings indicate that the teacher demonstrated effective nonverbal immediacy, which included neat and professional appearance, meaningful eye contact, supportive gestures, and frequent smiling. These behaviors contributed to creating a positive classroom atmosphere where students felt more comfortable, relaxed, confident, and engaged in the learning process. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The study population comprised students from classes XI IPS 1 and XI IPS 2, with a sample of 25 students from XI IPS 2. The results highlight the significant role of nonverbal communication in enhancing students’ motivation, comprehension, and overall classroom participation.
