Abstract

Fluctuations in broiler chicken prices require farmers to predict prices to plan production and optimize business profits. This study aims to predict broiler chicken prices in West Java to help farmers plan their budgets and business income. This study compares the accuracy of the ARMA (Autoregressive Moving Average) model with the Single Exponential Smoothing method in predicting broiler chicken prices in the West Java region. The results show that the ARMA (0.1) model has the best performance with the smallest measurement error rate, namely MAPE 4.48, MSE 49.27, and RMSE 2427.38. The price prediction for January 2025 is 35,043.63. These results are expected to help farmers in budget planning and improve business efficiency.

Abstract

The design of a website-based application for the Information System for Data Collection on Disadvantaged Communities in Binanga Mamuju Subdistrict, among other things, is to simplify the process of data collection on underprivileged communities in Binanga subdistrict, which was previously done manually so it was inefficient. The impact is that many files or documents are lost due to the absence of a system that manages this data. The aim of this research is to build an application system that can be accessed from anywhere using an internet connection so that data collection on people who cannot afford it can be done or accessed online. The research location is located at the Binanga Mamuju subdistrict office. The method used in research design is the Watervall method. This application system design was built using the Visual Studio Code application as a code editor with the PHP programming language and MySQL as the database. The results of the research are in accordance with the initial design where the application for data collection on disadvantaged communities in the Mamuju sub-district has run according to the initial design. The conclusion of this research is that the resulting application is able to operate well and is able to streamline the tasks of sub-district employees in the input process and the data is stored properly in the system database.

Abstract

This research examines the use of geochemical approaches for early detection of heavy metals in groundwater, a crucial issue in water resources management and environmental protection. Using qualitative research methods with a literature study approach, this research analyzes various secondary data sources to understand the effectiveness, challenges and opportunities for developing geochemical methods in monitoring groundwater quality. The research results show that the geochemical approach has significant advantages in detecting subtle changes in the chemical composition of groundwater, which can be an early indicator of heavy metal contamination. Geochemical parameters such as pH, electrical conductivity, and total dissolved solids (TDS) have proven to be effective as indicators of the presence of heavy metals. Additionally, stable isotope analysis allows identification of pollution sources, opening up opportunities for more targeted mitigation strategies. This research also reveals the importance of integrating geochemical methods with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for spatial pollution risk mapping. However, gaps were found in the applicability of this method in various geological conditions, indicating the need for the development of more adaptive models. In conclusion, geochemical approaches offer a promising solution for early detection of heavy metals in groundwater, but require further research to overcome implementation challenges, especially in developing countries. This research makes an important contribution to efforts to protect groundwater resources and supports the achievement of sustainable development goals related to clean water and sanitation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) in improving the reading skills of grade XI students at SMK Tiwikrama. HOTS is a high-level thinking approach that involves analysis, evaluation, and creation of new information. The research method used is a quantitative method with an experimental design. The population of this study was all grade XI students at SMK Tiwikrama with a total of 24 students, who were also the research sample. The instrument used was a reading test consisting of 15 multiple-choice questions. This study was conducted in three stages, namely pre-test, treatment with the HOTS method for six meetings, and post-test. The results showed that the average pre-test score of students was 65, while the average post-test score increased to 82. The results of the t-test showed a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores, which proved that the implementation of the HOTS method was effective in improving students' reading skills. The main factors contributing to this improvement were the interactive learning approach, critical thinking exercises, and discussions and reflections during learning. Thus, the HOTS method is recommended to be applied in reading learning to improve students' understanding of the text in depth.

Abstract

Covid-19 (SARS-CoV-2) is a new type of virus that began in the city of Wuhan, China in late 2019. Over time, the development of the Covid -19 Virus has greatly increased so that it has an overall impact on an organization. Currently, there are various methods in organizations that have been carried out to reduce the development of COVID-19, one of which is working from home during the New Normal period. This research aims to apply the K-Means and Weight Product (WP) methods in determining the priority of giving WFH schedules to all employees depending on the conditions of each employee. The K-Means method is used to group a number of covid-19 patient case data based on age and disease history. The output results of the process will be used as input criteria and criteria importance in the WP method. The use of the Elbow method makes it easy to determine the value of K in the clustering process on various data used. In this study, the best K value is 3 based on the evaluation results using the elbow method. The use of 2 criteria from the results of clustering covid-19 patient data in making decision models with the WP method provides more objective and precise decision results based on data / facts that have occurred. The functionality aspect of the system is very good after going through the process of testing the calculation results manually and using the system, both have the same results.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the dynamics of women's leadership in the governance of private universities in Gorontalo Province, focusing on the challenges, strategies, and their contributions to the quality of management of higher education institutions. Although the discourse of gender equality is increasingly strengthening in the world of education, the representation of women in strategic positions is still relatively limited. A qualitative approach was used with a case study method through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document review in a number of private universities in Gorontalo. The results of the study indicate that women leaders have high adaptive capacity, build collaborative leadership models, and play an important role in driving institutional innovation. However, they still face various structural barriers, including gender stereotypes, patriarchal culture, and lack of internal policy support. This study concludes that empowering women's leadership not only has an impact on more inclusive and responsive governance, but also on improving the academic quality and governance of universities as a whole. The implications of these findings encourage the need for affirmative policies and institutional cultural transformation to strengthen participation in higher education leadership structures.

Abstract

The objective of the research was to find out the correlation between students’ introvert personality and their speaking skills at MAN 1 Mamuju. In conducting this research, the researcher has collected the data using correlational research. The data was collected through questionnaire, interview and speaking test. The researcher used purposive sampling in determining the research sample. There were 40 students consisted of 20 extrovert and 20 introvert students that had been divided by using the MBTI Personality Questionnaire by Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center to acquire the data needed. The data were analyzed by using SPSS 22.0 that consist of Normality Test, Pearson Product Moment. the result of this research showed that there was no correlation between students' personalities (extrovert and introvert) and their speaking skills. According to the result of statistical calculation, it could be seen that the correlation score was -0.082 smaller compared to r-table at the significant degree 5% (0.312). Thus, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was rejected and null hypothesis (H0) was accepted. In conclusion there is no correlation between students' personalities (extrovert and introvert) and their speaking skills.
