Abstract

Mathematical abilities of eighth grade students at SMP N 20 Padang hadnot been satisfactory yet because the students still had difficulties inunderstanding the mathematical communication abilities. These were due theinstructional methods used were less variable and less appropriate, as an effort toovercome the above problem, the researcher used stratagem method throughcooperative learning method. The purpose of this research was to determine:whether the communication mathematical abilities of students taught by stratagemthrough cooperative learning methods were better than conventional method. Theresearch was carried out to eighth grade students at SMP N 20 Padang. Themethod used was quasi experiment with posttest only control design. The result ofdata analysis showed that: abilities mathematical communication of studentstaught by using stratagem through cooperative learning method were better thanthose through conventional method. From the above result, it can be concludedthat the use of stratagem through cooperative learning method in teachingmathematics at SMP N 20 Padang was quite effective for improving student’smathematics learning outcomes on the ability in understanding thecommunication mathematical abilities.

Abstract

Kedisiplinan sangat mempengaruhi kehidupan siswa baik disekolah maupun diluar sekolah, tujuan yang ingin dicapai pada penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui seberapa besar tingkat kedisiplinan siswa saat ini. Pada penelitian ini kami menggunakan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif berdasarkan data hasil penelitian pada tabel 1 dan tabel 2 dapat kita lihat bahwa 1 siswa memilih kategori tidak pernah, 2 orang siswa memilih kategori jarang sekali, 8 orang siswa memilih kategori sering dan yang terakhir 18 orang siswa memilih kategori sering sekali. Dari data tersebut dapat dilihat bahwa siswa lebih banyak memilih kategori sering sekali artinya kedisiplinan siswa di SMKN 9 MUARO JAMBI tergolong tingkat kedisiplinannya tinggi.

Abstract

Structure subtest is a student’s problem of English Department of STKIP PGRI in solving the TOEFL test. Based on data from the English Department graduated student, it is found that the result from the test scores is far from expectation. It is difficult for students to determine the use of any particular of speech in a sentence. This research aims to identify the structure of third year student ability of English Department of  STKIP PGRI West Sumatra on every variable that exists on the TOEFL test, particularly the grammar part. Results of the study show that statistically their ability is at unsatisfactory levels. Nearly half of the research subjects (42.30%) is at a low level. Thus, it can be concluded that the ability of students in grammar TOEFL test is still low.

Abstract

Dari hasil preliminary research phase, meliputi analisis masalah dan studi literature, diperoleh kesimpulan mahasiswa memerlukan bahan ajar penunjang berupa Lembar Kerja pada materi Limit, Turunan dan Integral pada perkuliahan Matematika Dasar STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat program Studi Pendidikan Biologi. Kemudian dilanjutkan pada prototyping phase adalah tahap pembuatan prototype, yakni Lembar kerja yang dirancang terdiri dari cover, halaman petunjuk penggunaan lembar kerja, materi, contoh soal, soal dan latihan. Penelitian ini merupakan lanjutan prototyping phase dari penelitian pengembangan (model Plomp), yakni melakukan validasi isi dan konstruk (tinjauan ahli) terhadap prototipe lembar kerja, menganalisis, dan merevisi prototipe berdasarkan hasil tinjauan ahli. Dalam kegiatan validasi lembar kerja melibatkan 1 orang validator. Validitas Lembar Kerja mencakup aspek tujuan, rasional, isi lembar kerja, karakteristik, kesesuaian dan bentuk fisik. Data diperoleh dari lembar validasi yang diisi oleh validator. Data tersebut diolah secara kuantitatif dan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah rerata validasi sebesar 4,17 dengan kriteria sangat valid. Ini berarti Lembar Kerja yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid untuk digunakan sebagai bahan ajar bagi mahasiswa.

Abstract

The problem facing most countries in the world of high population growth,and including the state in Indonesia. This is due to the limited carryingcapacity of the earth to meet the needs human life. Space width did notknick the surface of the earth increases, while human needs are alwaysincreasing from year to year. This study aims to reveal, analyze, anddescribe about: 1) how much population growth Padang City , and 2) howis the dynamics of the population between 1990 and 2010 in Padang City.The results of this study can be concluded 1) Population growth in PadangCity overall has decreased even though the population continues to growfrom year to year. Ratio of population growth between 1990 and 2000amounted to 2.078%, while in 2000 until 2010 the ratio decreased to0.703%, and 2) Population growth in Padang City as a whole is stronglyinfluenced by the conditions of migration. Based on the last three censusperiods the average population growth in Padang City influenced bymigration, with percentage of 69.54% while the natural population growthonly affects the conditions of residence in Padang City is less than 40%.

Abstract

Pendidikan memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam mencerdasakan kehidupan bangsa. Pendidikan seharusnya tidak hanya melahirkan seseorang yang ahli dalam bidang tertentu, namun termasuk juga bagaimana seseorang mampu membawa diri dalam lingkungan bermasyarakat, berbangsa dan bernegara sesuai dengan norma dan aturan yang berlaku. Namun, pendidikan yang terjadi saat ini masih belum memberi ruang untuk siswa berperilaku jujur karena proses pembelajaran cenderung mengajarkan pendidikan moral dan budi pekerti sebatas pengetahuan yang tertulis dalam teks. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini dirancang untuk melihat sikap toleransi siswa terutama siswa SMP, karena mereka adalah peralihan dari anak-anak menuju remaja, masa dimana individu menjadi sangat labil, dan mudah meniru apapun yang ia lihat di lingkungannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian survey. Data penelitian ini menggunakan data kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pemberian instrument, yaitu angket. Adapun responden dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa sekolah menengah pertama, yang berjumlah 50 responden, dimana responden tersebut merupakan siswa-siswi dari kelas VIII-C dan VIII-D SMPN 5 Muaro jambi. hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan karakter toleransi siswa sangat baik.

Abstract

Algebra structure is a branch of abstract mathematics, which is generally more difficult than the other more concrete branches of mathematics. The on going problems in the subject of  Algebra structure is the students do not understand about the concept of algebra structures, so that students have difficulty in using theories or theorems in evidence. In addition, another cause is the algebra structure of the teaching material is too abstract, so that students are less motivated to read supporting books and it causes low student activities. There may be one way to improve the motivation, activity and learning outcomes of students like using the Student Worksheet (MFIs). The purpose of this research was to develop an effective MFI Guided on the subject of Algebraic Structures in STKIP PGRI West Sumatra. This type of research was a developmental research. This research used 4-D models composed of 4 phases: definition phase (define), the design (design), development (develop) and spread (disseminate). In the deployment phase of the trial is limited to classes only. Effectiveness was analyzed through the observation student activity during lectures, student motivation by providing motivation questionnaire after using Guided MFI and student outcomes. Data analysis was analyzed descriptively with the results after using Guided MFIs in the subject of Algebra structure can enhance the activity, motivation and learning outcomes of students. The level of student mastery learning outcomes is more than 68%. It means that MFI Guided is effective in improving the student learning outcomes. The results show that the MFIs Guided on the subject of Algebra Structure developed has been effectively used as a teaching material for students.

Abstract

The main purpose of this research is to overcome the problems in the learning of Public Junior High School 1 Lubuk Basung. This research also aims to describe the improvement of student’s learning outcomes through the use of Cooperative Learning Model Type Co-Op-Co-Op in the learning of Social Studies Subject at the grade IX.4. The results show that the use of Cooperative Learning Model Type Co-Op-Co-Op can improve the student learning outcomes. It can be seen from the student’s average grade in the second cycle in which it is higher than the outcomes of the first cycle of learning increasing from 6.4 to 8.1. Thus, the use of Cooperative Learning Model Type Co-Op-Co-Op can improve the student’s learning outcomes in the learning of Social Studies Subject at the grade IX.4

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang bahan ajar yang dapat memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa berupa lembar kerja pada mata kuliah matematika dasar. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan metode pengembangan dengan desain pengembangan plomp yang terdiri atas 3 fase yaitu preliminary research, prototyping phase, dan assessment phase. Penelitian ini merupakan lanjutan dari preliminary research yaitu tahap prototyping phase. Pada tahap ini penyusunan prototipe yang dimulai dari merancang sistematika dan struktur lembar kerja. Lembar Kerja yang  dibuat terdiri dari lembar kerja 1 dengan materi limit, lembar kerja  dengan materi turunan dan lembar kerja 3 dengan materi integral untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi. Setiap lembar kerja yang dirancang memuat ringkasan materi yang berisi materi singkat yang bisa membantu mahasiswa untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan. Selain itu Lembar Kerja juga memuat tentang contoh soal dan latihan.

Abstract

Development of a country not just the responsibility of government alone,every human being contributes to social welfare and community enhancement.The business role is to promote healthy economic growth with environmentalconsiderations are a factor. Now the business is no longer just pay attention to thecompany's financial records alone (single bottom line), but already includes thefinancial aspects, social aspects and environmental aspects of the so-called triplebottom line. Synergy of these three key elements of the concept of sustainabledevelopment (sustainable development). patterns of partnership (partnership) withall stakeholders to play a role in development, while improving its performance inorder to continue to survive and even thrive into the compa pany that is able tocompete. These efforts can be generally referred to as corporate socialresponsibility or corporate citizenship and is intended to encourage more ethicalbusiness world in carrying out its activities so as not to influence or a negativeimpact on society and the environment, so that eventually the business will beable to survive in a sustainable manner to obtain economic benefits the main aimof the business world.
