Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil kemampuan representasi matematika siswa SMP dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita dari berbagai gaya belajar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek yang diambil dalam penelitian ini adalah 3 siswa dari 30 siswa kelas VIII F di SMPN 1 Sedan yang masing-masing mempunyai kriteria gaya belajar visual, auditori, dan kinestetik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa subjek dengan gaya belajar visual memenuhi semua indikator representasi matematis yaitu representasi visual, representasi persamaan atau ekspresi matematis, dan representasi kata-kata atau teks tertulis dan mampu mengerjakan soal dengan baik. Serta mampu menyajikan permasalahan kedalam bentuk gambar kemudian menuliskan persamaan atau model matematis secara tertulis dengan menggunakan kata-katanya sendiri. Sedangkan subjek dengan gaya belajar auditori memenuhi semua indikator representasi matematis yaitu representasi visual, representasi persamaan atau ekspresi matematis, dan representasi kata-kata atau teks tertulis dan mampu mengerjakan soal dengan baik. Serta mampu menyajikan permasalahan kedalam bentuk gambar kemudian menuliskan persamaan atau model matematis secara tertulis dengan menggunakan kata-katanya sendiri namun belum sesuai dengan yang diinginkan oleh peneliti. Dan subjek dengan gaya belajar kinestetik memenuhi semua indikator representasi matematis yaitu representasi visual, representasi persamaan atau ekspresi matematis, dan representasi kata-kata atau teks tertulis dan mampu mengerjakan soal dengan baik. Serta mampu menyajikan permasalahan kedalam bentuk gambar kemudian menuliskan persamaan atau model matematis secara tertulis dengan menggunakan kata-katanya sendiri.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia realizes sustainable development through the implementation of ESD in Vocational High Schools (SMK). Although ESD has been attempted in Indonesia, especially at the vocational world education level, based on the results of observations in the field, it turns out that the learning in the classroom is still not fully directed towards Education Sustainable Development, even though it can actually be integrated properly, for example in learning the Sciences Project. ESD is very important in building students' mindsets and lifestyles in the present and in the future, so this research was conducted to obtain more concrete information about students' sustainability awareness profiles through the integration of ESD in the IPAS Project learning, which is considered can support student awareness (sustainability awareness). The researcher carried out a quantitative research approach using the One shoot case study method through a survey with a random sample of 482 students in 2 SMKs in Semarang Regency online by means of an analytical descriptive method. The instrument used is a questionnaire with a Likert scale (without a neutral choice) which is given after the learning process. Through this research, data was obtained that Continuity Awareness (Sustainability Awareness) with emotional and behavioral and attitude categories included the "often done" criteria but the practice awareness category included the "rarely done" criteria. Based on the results of this study, it is suggested for SMK teachers to increase students' awareness of environmental issues and sustainability through the integration of ESD concepts in all subjects as well as hands-on programs such as clean-up activities and recycling arts. Involving the local community as part of the learning process and providing assistance by teachers who are competent in the field of ESD can also help increase awareness of sustainability in SMK students.

Abstract

The ability to solve problems is one of the important abilities to be learned and important to be mastered by students. Aini and Siswono (2014) state that solving math problems is an important part of learning mathematics. improving problem solving for grade 3 students at SD Negeri 02 Rowosari Subdistrict Ulujami using the PBL model. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the research design model of Kemmis and Mc Taggart (1988). The subjects of this study were all 3rd grade students of SD Negeri 02 Rowosari, Ulujami District, Pemalang Regency, semester 1 of the 2022/2023 academic year, totaling 24 students. The results of this study are that there is an increase in the problem solving of solving student material based on the stages of Polya through 2 cycles with each cycle consisting of 2 meetings.

Abstract

Interactive learning media can be used as a learning tool to improve the numeracy literacy skills of junior high school students, one of which is educational games. Educational games are games that contain educational content and are used to make it easier for students to understand the material provided. Development research using the ADDIE model was used to develop numeracy literacy educational games for junior high school students on statistics material. The population of this study were students of class VIII SMP Kesatrian 1 Semarang. The sample of this research is class VIII A, VIII C, and VIII D. The research design is Posttest Only Control Design. The data collection used is the observation method, the test method, the documentation method. The results of this study indicate that math educational games to improve numeracy literacy skills in statistical material are valid and practical to use based on validation assessments by media experts, material experts, and student response questionnaires. Furthermore, the developed educational game is effectively used in learning mathematics to improve the numeracy literacy skills of junior high school students based on the right-tail side t test, the percentage of student activity, the teacher's ability to manage learning, and student completeness in learning. Android-based math educational games are said to be valid, practical, and effective for improving junior high school students' mathematical numeracy literacy skills in statistics material.

Abstract

Students' metacognitive abilities in solving mathematical contextual problems are quite low, one of the reasons is the differences in students' learning styles. This study aims to describe students' metacognitive abilities in solving mathematical contextual problems in terms of visual learning styles, auditory learning styles, and kinesthetic learning styles. This type of research is a descriptive qualitative research. This research was conducted at SMP N 34 Semarang in 2023/2024. The subjects of this study were students in class VIII G consisting of 1 student with a visual learning style, 1 student with an auditory learning style, and 1 student with a kinesthetic learning style. The data collection method used is a learning style questionnaire, metacognition ability tests, and interviews. While the triangulation used in this study is time triangulation. The results of this study indicate that 1 student with a visual learning style is able to master 1 of the 3 indicators of cognitive ability and tends to have low metacognition ability. Students with an auditory learning style are able to fulfill 3 of the 3 indicators of metacognitive ability and tend to have high metacognitive abilities. Students with a kinesthetic learning style are able to fulfill 2 of the 3 indicators of metacognitive ability and tend to have moderate metacognitive abilities. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be seen that students' metacognitive abilities in solving mathematical contextual problems with the subject of auditory and kinesthetic learning styles are higher than the subject of visual learning styles.

Abstract

The aim of the research was to find out how the development of e-book media for creative learning of complex analysis material for students in the fifth semester of Mathematics Education students at PGRI Semarang University was feasible according to expert judgment, knowing the development of e-books for creative learning of complex analysis material for practical fifth semester students used in learning and knowing effective e-book learning creative learning on complex analysis material in fifth semester students in Mathematics Education students at PGRI University Semarang. Research development using the 4-D Thiagarajan model. The defining and planning stages were carried out so that draft I was obtained. Then at the development stage validation was carried out by two experts/experts using the learning tool validation sheet, so that suggestions were obtained to revise draft I to draft II so that it was feasible and could be used in learning. Furthermore, a limited trial was carried out to obtain input that was used to revise draft II to draft III. The research instrument is a test instrument. From the development of creative learning e-books on complex analysis material it was declared feasible, and from data analysis using the right-sided t test, it was found that learning outcomes using creative e-books on complex analysis material for fifth semester students were better than conventional classes.

Abstract

Writing is a language competency that exists in every level of education, from preschool to college. The purpose of this study was to improve the ability to develop main ideas in paragraphs in grade V students of SDN Mangunjiwan 2, Demak District using the picture and picture method. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with four stages, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. This study was conducted in two cycles. The subjects in this study were 18 grade V students of SDN Mangunjiwan 2, Demak District. Data collection techniques in this study were tests, observations, interviews and documentation. The indicators of success in this study are for individual learning provisions if the proportion of students' correct answers is more than the KKM that has been set and for classical learning completeness if at least 70% of all students have achieved KKM. The results of the study from cycle I obtained classical completeness of 67% with 12 students completing, while the results of cycle II classical completeness of 83% with 15 students so that the indicators of success were achieved in cycle II.

Abstract

This research was conducted at Pasir 3 Elementary School, Mijen District, Demak Regency in Class V with 27 students, as the background of the problem is the low value of this material from the KKM, the teacher's ability to teach only with existing methods, the purpose of this study is to improve learning outcomes on the Addition and Subtraction Operation Material of Fractions with Unlike Denominators Through Fraction Block Media. Classroom action research or Action Research. The actions taken in this study were 2 cycles where each cycle had 2 meetings. Data were collected using observation sheets and learning outcome tests carried out at the end of the cycle. The results achieved from this study were an increase in student learning outcomes on the Addition and Subtraction Operation Material of Fractions with Unlike Denominators which were seen to have increased after continuous practice and supervision through the Implementation of Fraction Block Teaching Aids. This can be proven by the final test scores of students in cycle 1 proven by an average score of 53.3 with a completion of 37.04%, increasing ability to increase the results of children's achievements in cycle 2 with an average score of 90 with a completion of 88.88%. The results of this study indicate that the use of Through Fraction Block Media on the Material of Arithmetic Operations of Addition and Subtraction of Fractions with Dissimilar Denominators provides a picture of a significant increase in learning outcomes towards the ability to understand students' learning outcomes. Based on these findings, it is suggested to teachers that the media applied by researchers can be used as an alternative in order to improve the ability to understand concepts or materials in the field of Mathematics Studies and do not stop trying and applying models, techniques or the use of teaching aids in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Science education is expected to be a vehicle for students to learn about themselves and the environment, as well as prospects for further development in applying them in everyday life. The learning process lay emphasizes on providing direct experience to develop competence in order to explore and understand surroundings nature scientifically. By using the learning model of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), it is expected to help improve science learning result of the students. Through CTL, the natural ongoing process of learning and learning result will be more meaningful because the students experience what they had learned by themselves. The purpose of this study is to find the Improving of the Science Learning result of the students through CTL Learning Models in grade IV Semester 1 SDN Banjarejo by implementing CTL learning models. The Action research was conducted in SDN Banjarejo Academic Year 2019/2020. The subjects are fourth grade students of SDN Banjarejo. This research uses two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings. Each cycle includes four phases: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques of the research consist of observation, testing, documentation, and interviews. Meanwhile, the data analysis techniques used include the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data. The initial conditions of students before doing completeness classical action were 40% with an average 58.25. In the first cycle, it increase to 55% with an average of 64 and in the second cycle, it increases to 100% with an average of 77.75. Student learning activities in the first cycle get an average score of 2.33 with the criteria "pretty good". It increases to 2.96 in the second cycle with the criteria “good". The learning management during the use of CTL learning models also increases; the first cycle get an average of 2.79 with the criteria"good"; the second cycle increases to 3, 25 with the criteria "good". Based on the results of the action research which has just been done, they can be concluded that the use of the CTL learning model of science learning can improve learning results of in grade IV SDN Banjarejo. Finally, the writer expected teachers to use CTL learning model as an alternative strategy which can be used in science teaching and learning activities in the classroom.

Abstract

Thematic learning is a learning activity designed to maximize the role of students in the learning process, only in its implementation the thematic learning process tends to focus on the teacher, which results in low student learning outcomes. The thematic learning outcomes of grade 5 students in the science material of single and mixed objects are still low, due to less creative methods and learning so that students are less interested and enthusiastic in carrying out learning in class. For this problem, the author designed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) in order to improve student learning outcomes. The Classroom Action Research (CAR) implemented includes 3 stages, namely action planning, action implementation and observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 14 grade 5 students of SD Negeri Tangkis 1 Guntur, Demak Regency. Data collection was carried out using test and non-test techniques, which used question items and observation sheets. The results of the pre-cycle study showed that out of 14 grade 5 students who got scores above the KKM were 4 students (28% of 14 students), and those who got scores below the KKM were 10 students (71% of 14 students). The average score in the pre-cycle was 60.40. In the implementation of cycle I, it can be seen that the score above the KKM was 9 students (64% of 14 students), and those who got a score below the KKM were 5 students (36% of 14 students). The average score in cycle I was 66.29. The results of cycle II showed that there was an increase in student achievement results, 11 people or 79% completed and 3 people or 21% got a score below the KKM with an average score of 71.40. So it can be concluded that learning using the Project Based Learning method can improve the learning outcomes of 5th grade students in the science subject of Single Objects and Mixtures.
