Abstract

The research aims to improve the reading skills of grade I students by implementing letter cards. The research subjects were Grade I students of SD Negeri I Sumilir with a total of 12 students. Classroom action research was conducted in 3 cycles. Each cycle consists of 1 lesson hour. The procedure for implementing each cycle includes planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. Data collection was obtained from teacher activity observation sheets, student activity observation sheets, and students' understanding scores. For data on students' understanding scores obtained from the evaluation test. Based on the results of classroom action research, the results of observations of teacher activity in the first cycle obtained a score of 3.13 and the second cycle obtained a score of 3.25. The results of observations of student activity in the first cycle obtained a percentage of 70.8% and the second cycle obtained a percentage of 78.25%. The results of the students' understanding value in the first cycle obtained an average of 69.16 completeness 50% and the second cycle became 73.33 completeness 75%. Thus, the application of letter card media can improve the reading skills of grade I students of SD Negeri 1 Sumilir.

Abstract

Learning does not only prioritize results because it needs a process so that learning becomes more meaningful. The meaningfulness of a material can be reached in various ways. One of them is learning Physics which is not only concerned with theory but also needs a strategy to be able to solve the problems in it. Thus, Physics can be comprehensively understood by students who learn it. Students as prospective teachers are expected to be able to study physics thoroughly, one of which is through problem-based learning in order to have problem-solving abilities. The purpose of this study was to determine the profile description of the problem-solving ability of prospective physics teacher students in the Kapita Selekta School Physics II course through problem-based learning. This research is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out through the analysis of written documentation from research subjects and structured interviews regarding the information on students' ability in problem-solving through problem-based learning. Based on the results of the discussion, it was concluded that the profile of the problem-solving ability of prospective physics teacher students in the Kapita Selecta School Physics Course II through Problem Based Learning was in a good category with an average of 73.91%. In accordance with the curriculum policy in learning that one of the competencies of students must be able to solve problems.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes through the Problem Based Learning learning model in grade VI SD Negeri Rambeanak 2. The type of research used was CAR. The research subjects of grade VI students. Data collection techniques using tests and observation results. The data analysis technique used is in the form of qualitative data and quantitative data. Pre-action learning outcomes of students who passed were only 9 students with a percentage of 37.5% then in cycle I increased to 16 students with a percentage of 66.7% and in cycle II increased to 20 students with a percentage of 83.3%. Thus, through the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model, it can improve the learning outcomes of class VI SDN Rambeanak 2 students.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how much student understanding of the various types of muscle learning material in humans increases, improves student learning outcomes and can foster a critical attitude towards performance results. The research was conducted through a cycled assessment process consisting of 4 stages (planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting) in 3 cycles of learning improvement. The data collection technique used in this CAR was a technical test, data collection conducted a test before and after the implementation of the discovery learning model using video media. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the research are quite good with an increase in the completeness of activities and learning outcomes for each cycle. The results of the preliminary study observation of 17 students who had met the learning completeness requirements were 5 students or 29.41% and 12 students who had not completed the study or 70.59% with an average value of 65.88 with 47% learning activeness, namely 8 students, in Cycle I the increase in student learning activities had reached 58%, namely 10 students, 10 students or 58% of completeness learning, and 7 students or 42% who had not completed the study with an average value of 75.28. Completeness of student learning outcomes in cycle II reached 14 students (82.35%), and students who had not completed were 3 students or 17.65% with an average score of 83.53 with 76.47% learning activeness, namely 13 students. Cycle III achieved 17 students (100%) completeness with an average score of 87.94. with learning, activity is also 100%. So it can be concluded that the application of the discovery learning model using video media can increase motivation and science learning outcomes in grade V SD Negeri 1 Kaliori in the 2020/2021 academic year.

Abstract

This research was conducted to improve understanding and student learning outcomes through classroom action research using audio-visual media. This research was conducted in class IV SD Negeri 1 Mipiran with a total of 22 students consisting of 11 male students and 11 female students. This study aims to use audio-visual media in Indonesian language learning, as an effort to improve students' understanding and learning outcomes about the elements of stories/fairy tales. This research is focused on utilizing the use of audio-visual media in learning with the hope that students will be more active in participating in learning so that understanding and student learning outcomes will increase. In addition, to improve teacher performance to be more professional in managing, so as to produce more interesting and meaningful learning. The results showed an increase in both learning outcomes and student activeness in learning. Student learning outcomes showed an increase as follows: Before the improvement of the class average score of 62.5 and after the improvement had increased to 69, the class average increased by 6.5. Then it rose again to 76.8 with the class average score increased by 7.8. So it can be concluded that learning Indonesian about the elements of fairy tales through the use of audio-visual media can improve student understanding and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Classroom action research has been carried out to improve and improve student learning outcomes through classroom action research using Quizizz media. This research was conducted in class IV SD Bukit Aksara Semarang for the 2020/2021 school year, with 37 students. This study aims to determine whether learning using Quizizz media can improve student learning outcomes and learning activities. The focus of this research is thematic learning outcomes which include cognitive, affective, psychomotor aspects, as well as student learning activities and science process skills, as well as teacher performance. The results of this study indicate that the activity from the initial conditions, cycle 1, and cycle 2 continues to increase. In the initial conditions to cycle 1 and to cycle 2 the percentage of students whose activeness was in the low category continued to decline, namely 70% - 18.33% - 6.67%. Medium category is from 20% - 56.67% - 50%. While the high category is from 10% - 25% - 43.33%. It can be concluded that thematic learning through Quizizz media can improve student learning outcomes and learning activities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of learning outcomes in thematic learning through the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning Model assisted by Powerpoint media. The subjects in this study were 28 children. The data collected in this study is data about the ability to solve thematic problems with the Contextual Teaching and Learning Model assisted by Powerpoint media. The results of this study indicate that the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning Model assisted by Powerpoint media can improve learning outcomes, namely from cycle I to cycle II by 28% from moderate to high criteria. The results showed that the Contextual Teaching and Learning Model assisted by Powerpoint media can improve learning outcomes in thematic learning.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were: 1) To find out whether the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) learning model had an effect on student interest and learning outcomes in basketball material for class XI SMA Negeri 1 Pecangaan, 2) To determine whether the Jigsaw learning model had an effect on interests and outcomes. student learning on basketball material for class XI SMA Negeri 1 Pecangaan. This type of research is a quasi-experimental sample selection in the True Experimental Design type Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design with sample selection then given a pretest to determine the initial state whether there is a difference between the experimental group and the control group. Pretest results are good if the value of the experimental group is not significantly different. After that the experimental group received treatment, and the control group also received treatment. Then both of them get a posttest to find out the results of the treatment that has been done. The results of the study based on the calculation of the two-party t-test obtained t = 4.304. From the t distribution list with df = 39 + 38 - 2 = 75 and the real level of 5%, it is obtained t table = 1.992. Because t count > t table (4.304 > 1.992) then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, it can be concluded that the interest and learning outcomes of students using the STAD model are better than students using the Jigsaw model. But both of these models have an effect on basketball interest and learning outcomes. The suggestion that the writer can convey is that the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) and Jigsaw learning model can be used as an alternative for teachers in teaching.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the mapping of new mathematics education students at the PGRI University of Semarang (UPGRIS) in 2017 - 2019 based on the distribution of regions and school origins. The test uses a descriptive method, namely explaining and describing an object with existing facts. The research data was sourced from the UPGRIS PMB Bureau and UPT TIK UPGRIS, namely registrants at FPMIPATI, PGRI University Semarang from 2017 to 2019. Based on the mapping of the region of origin of prospective students, it was found that the applicant base for the Mathematics Education Study Program was Semarang City, Demak Regency, Pati Regency, Grobogan Regency, Rembang Regency, Blora Regency, Jepara Regency, Kendal Regency, and Pemalang Regency.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes through the Problem Based Learning learning model for fourth-grade students of SD Negeri Sambeng. The type of research used is PTK. The research subjects were grade IV students. Data collection techniques using tests and observation results. The data analysis technique used is in the form of qualitative data and quantitative data. Pre-action learning outcomes of students who passed were only 5 students with a percentage of 33.33% then in cycle I increased to 7 students with a percentage of 46.67% and in cycle II increased to 12 students with a percentage of 80%. Thus, the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model can improve the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of SDN Sambeng.
