Abstract

Capital expenditure allocation refers to budget outlays for the acquisition of fixed assets and other long-lived assets, which play a crucial role in driving local economic activity. Key determinants include regional own-source revenue (PAD) and balancing funds (DAU, DAK, DBH), whose effects on capital spending may be moderated by economic growth. This study examines how PAD and balancing funds influence capital expenditure allocation across Bali’s nine regencies and one municipality from 2019 to 2023, and whether economic growth moderates those relationships. Using a sample of 45 yearly observations and moderated regression analysis, we find that both PAD and balancing funds exert significant negative effects on capital expenditure allocation. Moreover, economic growth does not significantly moderate these effects.

Abstract

Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) plays a vital role in supporting economic growth in developing countries like Indonesia. Despite its vast market potential and abundant resources, Indonesia’s FDI inflows lag behind those of neighboring countries. This study analyzes the impact of institutional quality on FDI in Indonesia during the 2002–2023 period, focusing on six indicators: voice and accountability, political stability, government effectiveness, regulatory quality, rule of law, and control of corruption. A quantitative approach is employed to assess the relationship between these variables. The results show that political stability and voice and accountability are the most influential factors in attracting FDI, as they foster a stable and transparent investment climate. This study emphasizes the importance of institutional reform to enhance investor confidence and support long-term economic growth.

Abstract

Technological advancements have encouraged the adoption of computer-based accounting information systems to enhance the efficiency of financial data management and support decision-making processes. However, the effectiveness of such systems may be influenced by several factors, including perceived ease of use, education level, and employee training. This study aims to obtain empirical evidence and examine the influence of these three factors on the effectiveness of computer-based accounting information system usage in Village Credit Institutions (Lembaga Perkreditan Desa/LPD) across the Mengwi District. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing multiple linear regression analysis. The findings indicate that perceived ease of use, education level, and employee training have a positive and significant effect on the effectiveness of computer-based accounting information system usage. This suggests that the more user-friendly the system, the higher the level of education, and the better the training provided, the more effective the system will be in supporting LPD operations.

Abstract

An effective capital structure has an essential role in maintaining a company's stability and competitiveness amid dynamic changes in the business environment. This study aims to provide empirical findings on the influence of profitability, asset structure, liquidity, and business risk on the capital structure of banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2019–2023. 30 companies were selected through purposive sampling method with a total of 150 observations. Data analysis was conducted through multiple linear regression using SPSS software. The result shows that profitability has no influence on the capital structure of the banking companies. Asset structure, liquidity, and business risk have a negative influence on the capital structure of the banking companies. The results of this study provide a theoretical contribution to the pecking order theory and trade-off theory related to the influence of profitability, asset structure, liquidity, and business risk on the capital structure of banking companies.

Abstract

Zakat Community Development program is an initiative of the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) which aims to empower mustahik through an integrative village-based community approach. This research aims to analyze the implementation of zakat management model based on Zakat Community Development program, assess the impact of ZCD program on mustahik economic growth and examine the synchronization of ZCD program with the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs). The author uses literature study and analysis of field findings from various ZCD implementation areas through Google Scholar and Publish or Perish application to assess the quality of sources, as well as analyzing data with content analysis techniques from various relevant articles and reports. The results show that; First, the Zakat Community Development model has been implemented by BAZNAS through community-based, multi-stakeholder collaboration, multi-sector integration, and mentoring and supervision. Second, the Zakat Community Development (ZCD) program has a positive impact on the economic growth of mustahik, through Da'wah, economic, education, health, and humanitarian programs. Third, the ZCD program has conceptual meeting points with several SDGs goals, such as SDGs 1, SDGs 2 and 11, SDGs 3, SDGs 4, and SDGs 16. This means that the integration of ZCD and SDGs can strengthen the role of zakat as a strategic solution in the economic and social development of mustahik.

Abstract

The tendency to commit fraud refers to unlawful actions carried out with the intention of gaining personal benefit. Fraud cases frequently occur in various financial institutions, including Village Credit Institutions (Lembaga Perkreditan Desa or LPDs) in Tabanan Regency. This highlights the need for further research on the factors contributing to fraudulent tendencies. This study aims to examine the influence of the bystander effect, individual morality, and financial pressure on the tendency to commit fraud in LPDs across Tabanan Regency. The study involved 90 LPD administrators selected using the area sampling method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed directly at the research sites. The collected data were then tested and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS 27 software. The results indicate that the bystander effect and financial pressure have a positive influence, while individual morality has a negative influence on the tendency to commit fraud in LPDs across Tabanan Regency. The implications of this study are both theoretical and practical. Theoretically, the study supports the Fraud Hexagon Theory and contributes to empirical research on fraudulent tendencies. Practically, the findings can serve as a reference for institutions to pay closer attention to employee behavior in order to mitigate the tendency to commit fraud.
