Abstract

This study aims to analyze stakeholder collaboration in managing irrigation waste in Simpang Tiga Subdistrict, Aceh Besar Regency. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analyses. These findings indicate the active involvement of the Environmental Agency, Water Resources Agency, NGOs, and local communities in waste management. This collaboration reflects a multi-stakeholder approach, which is essential for addressing complex environmental issues. However, challenges, such as low public awareness and limited funding, continue to hinder their effectiveness. This study recommends a more systemic collaborative approach, strengthened environmental education, and the inclusion of vulnerable groups to support sustainable and inclusive irrigation governance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the practice of possession of state-owned land by poor groups in the Deli Serdang area, Medan, from the perspective of John Rawls' Theory of Justice. The phenomenon of state land ownership by low-income communities is often a complex issue involving legal, social, and moral aspects. Within the framework of Rawls's theory, social justice emphasizes the protection of the most disadvantaged groups in society as well as the equitable distribution of resources. This study uses normative juridical methods and sociological approaches, with data obtained through document studies, field observations, and interviews with local residents and government officials. The results of the study show that the practice of land tenure is a form of response to the inequality of access to housing and land. Although legally such actions are considered invalid, from the perspective of Rawlsian distributive justice, the actions of communities can be understood as a form of demand for their basic rights. This study recommends a more humane and equitable policy approach, including the possibility of limited legalization by paying attention to the principle of the social function of land.

Abstract

Positive law in Indonesia is often considered a neutral and objective system. However, in its implementation, this law sometimes creates social inequality, especially in national land policy. This study aims to analyze the relationship between positive law implementation and social inequality using a case study approach on agrarian reform policies and forced evictions in urban areas. This study uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, document studies, and thematic analysis. The results of the study show that the implementation of positive laws often does not pay attention to social realities, thus creating injustice for marginalized communities. This research provides recommendations for more inclusive legal policy reforms, in order to create more equitable social justice.

Abstract

This study aims to describe character education based on prophetic values through habituation activities at MI Ma’arif NU 1 Cilongok. The character education implemented in this school is grounded in three core prophetic values: transcendence, humanization, and liberation. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, direct observation, and document analysis. The findings reveal that students’ character formation is carried out systematically through daily activities such as prayer recitation, congregational prayer, Qur’an memorization (murojaah), the 3S habit (smile, greet, salute), classroom cleaning duties, Friday donations, and reading prophetic stories. Transcendence is instilled through spiritual and worship practices; humanization through inclusive and respectful social interactions; and liberation through the development of social awareness and environmental concern. The program’s strengths lie in its consistent implementation and strong support from both teachers and parents. However, the study also identifies challenges, particularly the lack of a clear and measurable evaluation system (not yet based on SMART criteria), and the weak continuity of habituation between school and home. Therefore, strengthening the character assessment system, developing concrete indicators, and fostering closer collaboration between school and family are essential to ensure that prophetic value-based character education becomes more effective and sustainable.

Abstract

This study examines the rego tradition as a medium for cultural reproduction and the construction of ethnic identity among the To-Kaili people in Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi. In the context of social change influenced by globalization and modernization, rego is not merely a dance but a cultural symbol containing spiritual, social, and philosophical values transmitted across generations. The aim of this study is to deeply understand how the process of cultural reproduction occurs through rego, and how its symbolic meaning contributes to the formation of the collective identity of the Kaili people. A qualitative approach using ethnographic methods was used in this study, with data collection techniques including participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The results show that rego is maintained through the active role of families, communities, and traditional leaders as agents of cultural transmission. Furthermore, rego serves as an arena for the articulation of cultural values that reflect the relationship between humans and nature and ancestors. Rego has broad implications not only for maintaining local cultural identity but also for strengthening social cohesion, character education, and as a potential tool for cultural diplomacy at the national and global levels. Thus, rego is a cultural heritage that not only has aesthetic value, but is also strategic in maintaining the sustainability of the cultural identity of the To-Kaili people.
