Abstract

This study aims to determine the types of deixis and references used by the main character in the FALL (2022) movie, and to determine the dominant deixis used by the main character in FALL (2022) movie The study employs qualitative methods to gather data from the main character's spoken sentences from the FALL (2022) Movie, which were downloaded from the internet. The study revealed that 608 deixis expressions were utilized. The expression deixis is divided into five types of deixis, namely 424 person deixis, 11 place deixis, 149 time deixis, 21 social deixis, and 3 discourse deixis. The references found in this study are, person deixis found are I, me, my, we, and our as the first person deixis; you and your as second person deixis; it, she, he, him,and they, as third-person deixis; the place deixis found are here, that, these, and this; the time deixis found now,everyday, a weeks ago, morning, today, turn, this weekend, yesterday, night; the social deixis found dad, your mother, my husband, my cherry pie, ; and the last discourse deixis found is that and this. The dominant deixis used by the main character in the FAL (2022) Movie is person deixis.

Abstract

This research used YouTube as a medium that has benefits, and the researcher used this media to research. The purpose of this research was to influence of using YouTube videos in learning procedure text. The objectives of this study are (1) to explain the students' perception of using YouTube videos in learning procedure text, (2) To explain the benefits of using YouTube videos in learning procedure text, (3) To explain the influences of using YouTube videos in learning procedure text. The researcher used a qualitative descriptive research method. The subjects were 32 students, the data by using the questionnaire and interview. The results obtained show that the score questionnaire strongly agree after being taught by YouTube was higher and from the interview data, they answered that the procedure text on YouTube was entertaining and easy to understand. it can be considered that the application YouTube media is better for students.

Abstract

The modern era is closely related to technological developments, including social media. Therefore, social media must be utilized by every Indonesian citizen to disseminate the characteristic values ??of goodness, namely those based on the Pancasila ideology. The purpose of this research is to discuss Pancasila as a guide to behavior on social media platforms. This research uses a literature study method which is carried out by examining data originating from reference books, journals and scientific proceeding articles. The process of collecting data/information is carried out through written media, especially books and scientific journals related to the research focus which shows the results that Indonesian society and social media are closely related because there are many people who spend most of their time playing various social media platforms, therefore It is important for society to use social media wisely, manage information critically and build a positive online culture to support collective growth by using Pancasila as a guide for behavior on social media. Practicing Pancasila values ??can help create a positive online environment, avoid conflict and foster openness to the diversity of society. Upholding Pancasila values ??in social media can prevent negative attitudes such as the spread of hoaxes, fraud, hate speech, discrimination, content containing theory and pornography, brawls, provocations and so on.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to discuss honest character as an actualization of Pancasila values. The method used is literature research which is based on scientifically written literature to find a concept that can be studied, analyzed and explained scientifically with data collection activities carried out by reviewing scientific literature such as journals, books, scientific proceedings whose discussions have relevance to the topic that is the focus of this research. The data that has been collected from various literature is then analyzed using a descriptive approach which explains the results that Pancasila, as the ideological pillar of the Indonesian State, has a very important role in forming an honest character in individuals. Honest character is the actualization of Pancasila values, therefore it must be taught and instilled from an early age for each of the nation's future generations. The formation of disciplined character through Pancasila education must be implemented consistently in every lesson at school to help guide the younger generation to increasingly understand the importance of honesty and its consequences in the existence of the Indonesian nation. Pancasila values ??are one of the important foundations in forming an honest character and a society with integrity so that the progress of the nation as a civilized society in accordance with norms can be realized according to the expectations of the Indonesian people.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the types of deixis and references used by the main character in the COCAINE BEAR (2023) movie, and to determine the dominant deixis used by the main character in COCAINE BEAR (2023) movie. The study employs qualitative methods to gather data from the main character’s spoken sentences from the COCAINE BEAR (2023) movie, which were downloaded from the internet. According to the study's results, 608 deixis expressions were utilized. The expressions are divided into five deixis, 397 person deixis, 29 place deixis, 2 time deixis, 5 social deixis, 24 discourse deixis. The references found in this study are, first person deixis found are “I”, “me”, “my”, “we”, and “our”; as the second person deixis are “you” and “your”; and these words are found in third person deixis, namely “it”, “she”, “he”, “him”, and “they”. Words are found in place of deixis; “here”, “there”, “that”, and “this.”. Words like “now”, and “weekend”, can be found in time deixis. These words are found in social deixis, “Dad” and “your mother”. The last discourse deixis found is “that” and “this”. The dominant deixis used by the main character in the film COCAINE BEAR (2023) is persona deixis.

Abstract

Language is one of the means of communication used to convey a particular purpose. Language, as a communication tool, can foster mutual understanding between speakers and speech partners, or between writers and readers. Language is not only use for daily communication it is also use in advertisements. In everyday communication sometimes what we say has a wide range of meanings hence the speech act plays a major role in revealing the true meaning of what uttarence say. Language skills can be one way to attract students. Illocutionary act in advertisement can be one of the learning media that attracts students such as commercial media advertisements especially use maybelline advertisement in this research can help to improve students speaking skill. This research used qualitative descriptive method. The data was collected using documentation, which then analyzed by using qualitative analysis. The four steps of qualitative analysis are data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results of the research showed that illocutionary acts in selected Maybelline advertisements can (1) There are two types of illocutionary acts which found in 15 selected maybelline advertisements which are assertives or representative and directives (2) Illocutionary act already actualized as they are providing information towards the product. (3) the contribution of illocutionary act to the teaching and learning speaking can help the learners by providing direct examples from native speaker.

Abstract

This research aim to the values of character education in the movie UP. The purpose of this research is to identify the types of educational values contained in the movie UP and to find out the types of educational values that appear in the movie UP. This research was conducted using qualitative research method. Data sources were taken from the entire movie UP and the transcript of the movie UP downloaded from the internet. The movie UP focuses on the use of educational values and types of educational values. The results of this study, in the movie UP found several educational values that appear. The types of educational values contained in the movie UP which is divided into two types, value of being including; honesty, bravery, confidence, self-discipline, and purity. On the other hand, value of giving including, loyalty, respect, love and affection, not being selfish, being kind and friendly, and fair and humanist. From this study, the researcher hopes that after reading this research, readers understand about educational values and can apply in everyday life.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the fact that there were still many students who experience difficulties in writing and understanding recount text and teachers who apply monotonous or less varied learning methods. The formulation of the problem of this research was whether there was an effect of using Animaker in improving the ability to write recount text in students’ class at XII SMA N 1 Comal? In connection with this, the aim of this research is to find out whether there was an influence of Animaker on the learning outcomes of recount text in class XII SMA N 1 Comal. This study used a quantitative approach. This research used an experimental design consisting of two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. The population in this study was class XII students of SMA N 1 Comal for the 2023/2024 academic year. The samples from this research were class XII MIPA 1 totaling 36 students and class XII IPA 6 totaling 36 students. This technique in the research was random sampling. Based on the data research results, shows that used Animaker media in writing recount text could improve the ability to write recount text and convey past experiences in written form. Based on data analysis, the Pre-test result in the experimental group was 62.22 while the Post-test was 80.08. In the control group, the Pre-test result was 60.61 while the Post-test result was 70.47. Apart from that, based on the paired sample test table, the result shows a sig (2 tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that there was a difference in the average learning outcomes of students in the Pre-test experimental class and Post-test experimental class used Animaker.

Abstract

Research on the Effectiveness of Group Guidance Services with Cinema Therapy Media to Increase Self Efficacy of Class XI-3 SMA Negeri 1 Grobogan students is motivated by low self-efficacy in students, which will hinder actualization in their lives. As a result, students cannot achieve future goals. This self-efficacy will change easily and is strongly influenced by the development that is being gone through, especially for adolescents. This type of research is quantitative research with the quasi-experimental research method used is Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population used in this study were 11th grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Grobogan. Based on the results of data analysis showed that the mean/average of the experimental group of 93.42 was greater than the mean of the control group of 53.42. Judging from the results of the calculation of paired sample t-test analysis to prove the research hypothesis, the value of Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05. If the significance value is smaller than 0.05, there is a difference from the pre-test and post-test results. This means that there is an influence of Cinema Theraphy media on Self Efficacy of students in class XI-3 SMA Negeri 1 Grobogan. It can be concluded that group guidance services with Cinema Theraphy media are effective for increasing Self Efficacy of students in class XI SMA Negeri 1 Grobogan, which has a significant difference, seen from the results of the t test calculation and the average pretest posttest results.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui siswa di SMPN 1 Karangawen. (1) penguasaan kosakata siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris kelas VIII. (2) penguasaan tata bahasa siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris siswa kelas VIII. (3) pemahaman membaca siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris kelas delapan. (4) Untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara penguasaan kosakata siswa dan pemahaman membaca siswa kelas delapan. (5) Untuk mengetahui apakah ada korelasi antara penguasaan kosakata siswa dan pemahaman membaca siswa kelas delapan. [6] Untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara penguasaan kosakata siswa, penguasaan tata bahasa dan pemahaman membaca siswa kelas delapan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 8 di SMPN 1 Karangawen dan sampelnya adalah kelas 8C yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Tes kosakata, tes tata bahasa dan tes pemahaman bacaan digunakan sebagai instrumen penelitian. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan regresi berganda. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) penguasaan kosakata siswa adalah 54,375%, (2) penguasaan tata bahasa adalah 60,218%, (3) pemahaman membaca siswa adalah 63,46%, (4) tidak ada korelasi antara penguasaan kosakata siswa dan pemahaman membaca dengan t hitung 0,078 < t 037; (5) terdapat korelasi antara penguasaan tata bahasa dengan pemahaman membaca dengan t hitung 3,637 > t tabel 2,037; (6) terdapat korelasi antara penguasaan kosakata, penguasaan tata bahasa dan pemahaman membaca yang ditentukan dengan F hitung 8,905 > F tabel 3,32.
