Abstract

The problem of waste in Lok Rawa Village so far has not been completely solved, apart from the absence of a garbage collection site in the village, public awareness of not littering is still very low. In addition, there is still a lack of knowledge about how to treat household waste. One solution or alternative that is efficient is waste processing by sorting organic waste produced by local residents and processing it into compost. With this activity, the people of Lok Rawa village know the negative impact of using inorganic fertilizers, namely the occurrence of soil pollution. The community also knows the benefits of using organic fertilizers, one of which is compost from household waste, which can help the community's economy and also help overcome environmental pollution. In addition, the composting program also provides knowledge to the community to manage household waste into compost independently.

Abstract

One of the problems that occur in Lok Rawa Village is the problem of waste. Every day, local residents produce both organic and non-organic waste, meanwhile, temporary waste collection sites are still limited. As a result, if the waste is not managed properly it will cause the accumulation of garbage and pollution in the environment around the residents. In addition, the awareness of the community about the importance of disposing of waste is still low, it can be seen that a lot of garbage is scattered and the disposal is not in the right place. Making trash bins that have more functions as disposal by giving different colors with the aim of separating organic, inorganic and B3 waste can provide a solution to the waste problem in Lok Rawa Village as well as provide education to the public on the classification of waste generated from households so that will create a comfortable and clean environment.

Abstract

Along with the success of the government in national development, especially in the health sector, it has resulted in improving the health of the population and increasing life expectancy. The Central Bureau of Statistics shows that the population of the elderly in Indonesia in 2008 was 8.55% of the total population. The increase in the number of elderly people must also be balanced by an increase in the quality of health. There are various health problems, one of which is the case of hypertension. An effort that can be made to help reduce the problem of hypertension in the elderly is by modality therapy for elderly exercise. From the survey results obtained from 10 elderly people, 5 of them suffer from hypertension in Tandipah Village, RT 03. And some of the elderly say that they have not optimally participated in these activities because the elderly's awareness of the benefits of these actions is not maximized in an effort to reduce blood pressure. The community includes the implementation of gymnastics therapy for the elderly with hypertension which involves all the elderly in Tanipah RT 03 assisted by all cadres and village officials. Result: Implementation of community service takes place according to the plans that have been made. Gymnastics is carried out using gymnastics video media and with the demonstration method

Abstract

As human activities degrade the environment, comprehensive environmental knowledge is vital for sustainability. This paper reviews literature across disciplines to synthesize ecological principles, ethics, environmental threats, and solutions. Major challenges analyzed include climate change, biodiversity declines, pollution, and overexploitation. Conservation approaches like protected areas are examined, along with environmental law and sustainable development integrating economic, social, and ecological dimensions. Implementing sustainability requires transforming awareness, values, and behaviors toward environmental responsibility across society. Findings integrate insights from ecological and social sciences. This interdisciplinary framework informs urgent ethical policies and lifestyle changes to mitigate threats and uphold ecosystem integrity. Despite complex systemic challenges, creative collaboration can integrate human civilization and nature conservation for thriving societies.
