Abstract

At SLB YPAC Dewantara, North Aceh, teachers' mastery of digital technology remains constrained in terms of the utilization of online applications and multimedia. The objective of this Community Service Program (PKM) is to enhance pedagogues' competencies through experiential learning, which is characterized by a participatory approach. The activity was conducted over the course of two days and involved 15 teachers. The materials covered the use of Zoom Meeting, Google Meet, Bitly, and the creation of simple animations using Canva and Powtoon. The evaluation results demonstrated a substantial increase in the utilization of digital tools, with the capacity to employ the fundamental functionalities of Zoom and Google Meet escalating from 27% to 87%, the application of Bitly rising from 13% to 80%, and the proficiency in generating animated media increasing from 7% to 73%. The challenges encountered by the participants included time constraints, variations in digital literacy, and internet infrastructure. This PKM fostered the establishment of an internal teacher learning community and underscored the significance of synergy among individual capacity, institutional support, and sustainable mentoring.

Abstract

The increasing number of motor vehicles is not always accompanied by compliance with traffic regulations, contributing to a high rate of traffic violations and accidents. This issue is not only related to technical and infrastructural aspects but also to social behavior and public legal awareness. This article aims to analyze efforts to improve traffic law awareness through a public communication approach implemented in a community service program in Gampong Ujong Tanoh Darat, Meureubo District, West Aceh Regency. The program employed an educational and communicative approach through legal counseling and interactive discussions. The materials covered the concept of legal awareness, the legal basis of traffic regulations, and types of violations along with sanctions. Evaluation was conducted qualitatively through direct observation and oral questioning during the activity involving 27 participants. The results indicate that the public communication approach enhanced community understanding of traffic law, reflected in an approximately ±20% upward trend in participants’ understanding, and encouraged a shift in compliance patterns from reactive behavior toward compliance based on internal legal awareness. The activity also demonstrated a change in community perceptions of the law, from a coercive set of rules to a shared guideline for maintaining traffic safety and order.

Abstract

Arabic plays a highly transcendental role in the lives of Muslims, especially ummahāt. One form of community service aimed at improving their proficiency in basic Arabic is the provision of intensive Linguaphone audio training. This training is designed to equip ummahāt with the ability to master basic Arabic skills. The methods employed include lectures, listening activities, practice, and feedback. Data were collected through observation and interviews conducted via Google Forms. The research subjects consisted of 10 ummahāt who participated in a basic-level training program for one month, from 22 September to 20 October 2025. The results of the training indicate that: (1) Linguaphone audio serves as the primary learning tool for ummahāt in understanding the learning materials, such as correct pronunciation of hijaiyah letters, vocabulary, expressions, and dialogues; (2) Linguaphone audio is an efficient learning medium in terms of time, energy, and cost; and (3) ummahāt greatly benefited from the basic Arabic language training program using Linguaphone audio, particularly those who had never participated in a tahsin program and were beginner learners of Arabic.

Abstract

Environmental degradation, particularly caused by plastic waste, remains a global issue that requires comprehensive management and the involvement of various stakeholders. One effective approach is the provision of environmental education from an early age through innovative and engaging methods. This community service activity aimed to foster environmental awareness and enhance children’s creativity through ecoprint training using the pounding technique at SDN 01 Percontohan, West Aceh. The activity consisted of socialization, hands-on training, and evaluation using pretests and posttests, involving 40 fifth-grade students. The results showed an increase in students’ knowledge of environmental conservation as well as their ability to create artwork from natural materials. The students successfully produced tote bags with unique ecoprint motifs, which contributed to the improvement of their motor skills and their sense of responsibility toward the environment. Overall, ecoprint training proved effective in enhancing students’ environmental awareness and creativity. The success of this program has encouraged the expansion of similar activities to other schools to help develop a generation that is more environmentally conscious.

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out at Madrasah Ulumul Qur’an with the aim of providing students with an understanding of the importance of preventing bullying and sexual harassment. The materials presented covered the basic concepts of bullying and sexual harassment, their causes, and the impact on victims and the educational environment. The results of the activity showed that the students were able to understand how to prevent bullying and sexual harassment. Prevention efforts are crucial and were promoted through legal literacy and socialization during this activity to help reduce the number of bullying and sexual harassment cases in educational settings. The activity was conducted through presentations and discussions, accompanied by case studies and problem-solving strategies related to bullying and sexual harassment experienced by madrasah students. This initiative is expected to serve as an initial step in fostering awareness among students to enhance their understanding of bullying and sexual harassment, as well as the values of Islamic teachings in daily life.
