Conference on Management, Business, Innovation, Education and Social Sciences (CoMBInES) Conducting a research is one of the implementations of Three Pillars of Higher Education that has a crucial role for the development of science, technology, and arts as well as for the improvement of the welfare of society since the research results are directly implemented to the society/community. To spread more significant effect; not only for the society/community but also for more external parties; therefore, Universitas Internasional Batam hold a Conference on Management, Business, Innovation, Education and Social Sciences (CoMBInES) that is attended by lecturers and students from both domestic and overseas partners to disseminate their research works. Through this conference, the researchers are able to share their knowledge and motivation in the application of sustainable research activities.

Abstract

With the rapid improvement of modern technology, the trend of how consumer purchase has been changed. Businesses are adopting digital marketing instead of conventional means of marketing. Products that were previously only sold in brick-and-mortar store are now selling online, such as apparel products. This research aims to identify the digital marketing elements that affect consumer buying decision process, namely content marketing (CM), social media marketing (SMM), and online convenience (OC). Self-administrative questionnaire was used to collect data from 236 respondents using Google Form. Descriptive and inferential analysis are conducted. Besides, the three elements of digital marketing (CM, SMM and OC) have significant impact on consumer buying decision process. This study provides evidence to business owner, marketers, and academician’s researchers that what are effectively affecting the consumer buying decision process in digital marketing in Malaysia so that they can allocate their marketing budget wisely.

Abstract

The fast digital era 4.0 revolution requires companies to be responsive in providing breakthroughs in their products so that they are able to guess consumer needs and distribute them in a short time. The growth of online shopping has brought about changes in the standardization of electronic commerce which affects business processes in various fields of business. The web can be used to retrieve data on products in the electronic market and one of them is household appliances which makes it easier for people to become sellers and buyers. The SCRUM method is a new continuous methodology in software development that is also widely used by other researchers because it is able to adapt to changes that occur during the development of the application process that is made. WDLC is a web-based application development method based on the adoption of SDLC that supports the creation of web applications, both simple and complex, and can be adapted to other methods, for example prototypes to be redeveloped repeatedly and gradually. The result of this applied research is a web marketplace for household needs that has been designed and developed using the SCRUM method with the WDLC model.

Abstract

Online food delivery (OFD) service becomes more prevalent in Malaysia. OFD has advantages for consumers where it entices many people to utilise it in their daily life. Instead of purchasing food from a physical, consumers can purchase food through online platform and use the delivery service. In the era of information technology (IT), people from all walks of life are able to order food with one click away from their devices. This has lightened much work especially for busy working consumers. This research aimed to investigate the consumers’ intention to use online food delivery service in Malaysia. A total of 290 online questionnaires were received for data analysis. The finding of the study indicates that time saving and prior online purchase experience are major predictors of OFD. However, the perceived usefulness and price saving were found insignificant. Restaurants should improve their OFD service to attract more consumers. Convenience of information stored enable consumers to reuse OFD service

Abstract

Pelaksanaan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana pengaruh dari karakteristik hubungan antara auditor dengan klien dan kondisi finansial perusahaan terhadap going concern audit opinion. Variabel independen yang digunakan dalam penelitian terdiri atas audit tenure, audit lag, auditor switching, pertumbuhan perusahaan, ukuran perusahan, rasio likuiditas, dan rasio solvabilitas. Sampel penelitian diambil berdasarkan pada perusahaan non-keuangan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) periode 2015 sampai dengan 2019. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 1.735 data yang masih layak digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Peneliti memperoleh data sampel dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling dan akan diuji dengan metode regresi binary logistic. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel audit lag, ukuran perusahaan, dan rasio solvabilitas memiliki pengaruh signifikan positif terhadap going concern audit opinion. Variabel audit tenure, auditor switching, pertumbuhan perusahaan, dan rasio likuiditas tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap going concern audit opinion.

Abstract

Depression is a mental health disorder that affects a person’s mood which is characterized by sadness, hopelessness, stressed and loss of interest in doing any activity. This condition has a very negative impact on a person thoughts, feelings and mental health. Although depression is a mental health disorder that can be treated, unfortunately there is very little public awareness to recognize the symptoms of depression. Which causes a lot of people ignoring depression and leaving it without treatment or consultation with experts. Untreated depression can be life threatening. The number of deaths due to suicide each year can reach 800,000 to 1,000,000 victims and 80% of these deaths are caused by depression. The high mortality rate due to depression reflects the low public awareness of mental health disorders. With this problem, the author wants to increase public awareness and concern for depression through a 2D animated video. In designing this 2D animation, the author uses some software assistance, namely Procreate and Capcut. By using the Multimedia Cycle Development (MDLC) method to assist the animation design process as well as data collection techniques by conducting interviews and literature studies. The final result of this research is a 2D animation with a duration of 2 minutes and 49 seconds with the title "Candle: A Short Animation About Depression" which is distributed to the public through the Youtube platform.

Abstract

Penilaian karyawan pada Toko Mesin Pekan Jaya masih dilakukan secara subyektif dan tanpa didukung oleh metode penunjang keputusan yang dapat menghasilkan penilaian karyawan yang baik. Oleh karena itu pada penelitian ini dibuat sebuah sistem penunjang keputusan penilaian karyawan berbasis website dengan menggunakan metode Simple additive Weighting (SAW), dari hasil pengujian antara perhitungan sistem dan manual memiliki hasil yang sama sehingga valid dan akurat dengan ini disimpulkan bahwa sistem dapat membantu pemilik usaha untuk mengambil keputusan tentang penilaian karyawan dalam menentukan karyawan dengan kinerja yang baik dan berhak menerima bonus atau peningkatan gaji karyawan

Abstract

Literasi keuangan merupakan pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang konsep keuangan dan pengambilan keputusan yang efektif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh sikap keuangan, perilaku keuangan, pengetahuan keuangan, kecemasan keuangan dan keyakinan individu terhadap literasi keuangan di kota Batam. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan membagikan kuesioner berupa google form kepada 420 responden yang merupakan masyarakat Kota Batam, di uji dengan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa semua variabel yang di uji telah memenuhi asumsi uji kualitas data, uji asumsi klasik dan uji hipotesis. Hasil uji nilai adjusted R Square sebesar 0,779 atau 77.9% menunjukkan bahwa variabel independen dalam penelitian ini mampu mendeskripsikan variabel financial literacy sebesar 77.9% sedangkan selebihnya 22.1% dideskripsikan oleh variabel lainnya yang berada diluar model penelitian ini.

Abstract

The contemporary digital era has brought about some significant changes to both the framework of traditional financial activities and the state of the world economy. Blockchain technology has transformed financial activities including investing, trade, and online payments in the present global and economic setting. Digitizing the use of money is one of the major advances in today's tech-savvy world. Regulators, bankers, innovators, investors, and consumers all around the world are interested in this new peer-to-peer payment method due to its disruptive potential. Cryptocurrency is a digital asset designed to operate as a medium of trade that relies on encryption to ensure the transactional flow and regulate the generation of new currency units. While cryptocurrencies have been successful, the lack of internal exploratory research and attention to Malaysian users has led to limited adoption of cryptocurrencies in Malaysia. Thus, it is vital to invent a new paradigm by investigating the acceptance factors since many individuals still don't know about this emerging technology. Additionally, people's propensity to adopt is influenced by how much faith they have in the technology. Thus, the study proposes to examine the adoption of cryptocurrency among Generation Y. A survey was carried out, and the framework was tested using SmartPLS to generate the results. The results found a significant impact of brand trust, behavioral attitude, and perceived usefulness towards the adoption of cryptocurrency. Additionally, the mediation role of behavioral attitude is significant between brand trust and perceived usefulness in the adoption of cryptocurrency. The limitations and recommendation of the study are further discussed.

Abstract

Dengan riset ini peneliti bermaksud untuk menganalisis tentang pengaruh loyalitas pelanggan khususnya pada masa pandemi COVID-19 yang dalam pelaksanaannya mengalami destruksi. Hasil riset ini mengungkapkan bahwa kepuasan pelanggan, persepsi nilai (perceived value), kepercayaan pelanggan, komitmen emosional, dan keterlibatan pelanggan memberi pengaruh signifikan positif terhadap loyalitas pelanggan. Sebaliknya, citra merek dan kualitas layanan memberi pengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap loyalitas pelanggan. Hasil data riset membuktikan bahwa mahasiswa Universitas Internasional Batam (UIB) memperoleh kepuasan pelanggan, persepsi nilai (perceived value), kepercayaan pelanggan, komitmen emosional, dan keterlibatan pelanggan yang cukup baik terhadap universitasnya. Abstract

Every company must have social responsibility for its company, because the company must have responsibility for its environment or society with the aim of being able to develop the environment for the process of economic development. In this study, the method used is purposive sampling because the samples taken have certain criteria taken on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2015-2019, the model used is the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The results of this study are board size and firm size have no significant effect on social responsibility. Board independence, leverage, and type of industry have a significant negative impact on social responsibility. Gender diversity and profitability has a significant positive effect on social responsibility.
