Conference on Community Engagement Project -Community service is one of pillars in Three Pillars of Higher Education. Community service is the implementation of practice of science, technology, and arts to the society institutionally through research methodology as the implementation of Three Pillars of Higher Education and responsibility to improve the ability of society. Therefore, it can accelerate the growth rate of the national development goals. To support the practice of community service, UIB Research and Community Service Center organize a Conference on Community Engagement Project (ConCEPt) that is attended by lecturers and students from both domestic and overseas universities. This conference is expected to significantly spread impact the results of community service that are directly implemented to society and spread information about science, technology, and arts to society.

Abstract

Practical work at Ma Oteh Coffee Shop is useful for overcoming the problems being faced by the shop in terms of increasingly fierce competition, this practical work focuses on how to market products so that they have a higher level of sales compared to competitors and also focuses on promotions that will used. The method used in this practical work is to interview the owner of Ma Oteh Coffee Shop to get information about the situation around the shop, followed by developing a system that will be implemented. The marketing and promotion carried out aims to disseminate information about the existence of Ma Oteh Coffee Shop. The results obtained from this practical work are registering the shop on Go-Food, registering on Google Maps, creating an Instagram social media account and carrying out promotions using the Instagram Advertisement feature, as well as printing a menu list that will be used by the shop.

Abstract

Warung Parahyangan is a business engaged in the culinary field, where the food served is mostly Sundanese specialties. Since the pandemic, the income earned by Warung Parahyangan has decreased because the business of Warung Parahyangan is run without the help of social media or other applications, only depending on consumers who come to the shop. However, at the beginning of 2022, when schools have started to conduct learning offline, it will provide a slight increase in income, because the main target of the shop is school students whose school is located right in front of the shop. However, most of the school students have lost interest in eating at Warung Parahyangan, apart from being afraid of going out of school considering the pandemic is not over yet, also because many new students don't know about Warung Parahyangan. based on existing problems, we help implement promotional strategies with the help of social media. The promotion strategy that we use is the creation of digital posters, Instagram accounts and also go-food accounts so that they can help build image and consumer loyalty to Warung Parahyangan.

Abstract

Curry Up is a micro, small and medium enterprise (MSMEs) engaged in culinary tourism. Curry Up is located at the YKB D.16 complex with 8 employees. Curry Up is a family-run business that has been established since 2017. Curry Up sells Luti Gendang and curry puff food, which are typical Riau Islands or Malay food. This traditional food is still rarely known by people in the city of Batam. Therefore, with this business, luti gendang food and also curry puff can be known to all Indonesian people because every region has different food and tastes. Therefore, with social media such as Instagram and Facebook, all people know about luti gendang food. and curry puff is a typical Malay food, especially in Batam and can be souvenirs for traveling and is a culinary tourism destination for residents of Batam City or outside Batam. The data collection carried out in this activity is to collect primary data. The primary data collected was sourced from interviews conducted by the author. Interviews conducted by the author to Curry Up customers. The questions asked in the interview were related to Luti Gendang which is a Core Product from Curry Up.

Abstract

Following the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 3 of 2020, Universitas Internasional Batam implements the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy. This community service project implemented MBKM policy. A team consisting of a student and a lecturer from the Undergraduate Program in Accounting conducted this project. Team members helped SMEs in Batam reviewed and improved their financial statements and calculated their annual corporate income tax. We implemented this project jointly with PT Anugerah Manajemen Abadi during the period of August to December 2022. PT Anugerah Manajemen Abadi introduced us to four SMEs with limited knowledge and human resources who needed help understanding tax regulations. Those SMEs are engaged in onion trading, machinery, freight forwarding, and housing development. The Team analyzed the financial reports presented by SMEs and adjusted them according to tax regulations (Government Regulation of The Republic of Indonesia Number 7 of 2021 about general provisions and tax procedures). Adjustments were made, among others, to expenses related to "3M" (earning, collecting, and maintaining income) by fiscal reconciliation. Based on the adjusted financial reports, the Team calculated the 2022 corporate income tax expense (PPh article 29). Moreover, the Team provided SMEs with assistance in clarifying the results of their tax reporting to the tax office, including if the tax officer required additional explanations. As a result, four SMEs, which are lacking in human resources and knowledge of taxation, can receive assistance in calculating their corporate tax expenses.

Abstract

This activity is carried out to apply the accounting knowledge learned during college into daily business. In addition, this activity also aims to help micro business actors make accurate and correct books and financial reports to reflect the economic situation of the business. The object of this activity is CV Multi Metalindo, a company that has been operating for a long time but still uses semi-manual records in its books, and does not yet have good financial reports. This condition is known by visiting the place of business and also by interviewing. This activity resulted in accounting students designed in the Microsoft Access program so that entrepreneurs can easily make records and the system can automatically generate financial reports. This system can also improve business flow to more efficient and effective business operations.

Abstract

Bintang Lima Jaya Mandiri is a micro entrepreneur engaged in the furniture trade. This business has been operating for almost 10 years. This business still uses a simple organizational structure. The operational activities are only carried out by the owner and one employee. In addition, the financial recording of this business still uses the manual version which is recorded in the book. This condition can be known after conducting visits and interviews with business owners. This activity aims to apply accounting knowledge that has been learned during college to daily activities. In addition, this activity also aims to help micro-entrepreneurs to make accurate and correct financial reports that reflect the actual financial condition of their businesses. Not only in the accounting recording system, this activity also aims to clarify the internal controls on the CV. Bintang Lima Jaya Mandiri. In this activity, an accounting recording program will be designed using Microsoft Access so that business owners can easily make financial records and the system will run automatically and will provide the financial reports that are more accurate and efficient.

Abstract

This study focuses on the dropship business that sells household appliances online on the Tokopedia marketplace. The business name is Me Home. The problems in the dropship business include the small number of suppliers, less varied products, and product promotion on social media. The scope of this study is the addition of provider partners and product catalog creation. The purpose of this activity is to find suitable supply partners, create catalogs, and increase product sales in the Me Home dropshipping business. The target of this dropship business activity is to increase the number of supply partners, design product catalogs, and add business promotional media. The research methodology used is a qualitative research methodology. Data collection techniques using semi-structured interviews. The selected informants were sellers of household appliances and buyers of household appliances. The results obtained after carrying out this activity are increasing the number of suppliers in the dropship Me Home business, having a catalog, and using social media as a marketing tool.

Abstract

Human resources are one of the most important assets owned by a business. In running a business, business owners have an obligation to ensure that human resources are able to carry out their job and responsibility precisely as well as efficiently. This can be done with job analysis, by analysing the work of each position the owner can obtain job description along with job description. Job analysis can make it easier for owners to choose the suitable human resources that are suited in one work position. As the business goes on, there is time to measure employee performance. Hence, there is a need to conduct a system that can make it easier for the owner to make an assessment by implementing performance appraisal system. Assessment indicators can be obtained from job descriptions that is obtained when carrying out job analysis. By carrying out job analysis and implementing the system, businesses can improve the overall employee work efficiency. On this research, job analysis and performance appraisal system were carried out at Rumah Makan Jodoh which is a micro business that sells various of Chinese and Indonesians cuisine. Rumah Makan Jodoh had been established since 2004. The method used in this research was observation and interviews with business owner. From the process of interviewing with owner it became aware that there is no precise responsibility of each position of the workers, therefore in this research will be conducting job analysis and implementing performance appraisal system to increase the overall work efficiency. This implementation lasted for three months. The results of this implementation were declared successful and the initial goal was achieved, which is placing the right employees in the right positions. The business owner also stated that this implementation had increased the overall work efficiency of employees.

The purpose of implementing this project is to help build social media for the business so that it can be used and maximized as a promotional media that can help build brand awareness and brand image at the restaurant, with social media it can make it easier for these businesses to reach more people to find out about their whereabouts. the restaurant as well as implementation like this will be able to help increase sales at the restaurant in the future. In this project, the authors aim to use social media as a marketing platform for Rizh's café and restaurant. Marketing on social media can make it easier to increase brand awareness for Rizh's café and restaurant. The technique used by the author in collecting data on the practical work of this project is to visit the location and make observations.
