Abstract

UMKM Milan Collection faced several operational problems, such as inconsistent employee discipline and different ways of serving customers because there were no written guidelines. These issues affected the daily workflow, service quality, and made it difficult for the owner to supervise employee performance. To solve these problems, the project used the PDCA (Plan–Do–Check–Act) method and carried out observations, interviews, document analysis, and direct evaluations. As a result, two important Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) were created: the Work Discipline SOP and the Customer Service SOP. These SOPs provide clear rules for attendance, work ethics, customer interactions, handling complaints, and transaction procedures, so that all work activities become more consistent and transparent. After socializing the SOPs and implementing them on-site, the business saw many improvements. Employees became more disciplined, followed work schedules, and delivered more consistent service to customers. The owner also found it easier to supervise the team. Customers received more professional and uniform service. Overall, the results show that SOPs play an important role in improving operational efficiency, strengthening professionalism, increasing customer satisfaction, and supporting long-term stability for small businesses like Milan Collection.

This community engagement project was carried out to address the low digital marketing capabilities of MSME Bubur Ayam Sari Rasa, which previously relied only on traditional promotion without a structured social media strategy. The MSME did not have a visual identity, did not maintain active social media accounts, and had limited digital literacy, all of which affected its promotional reach. The methods included interviews with the business owner to understand operational needs, field observations to examine existing promotional practices, and the design and implementation of strategies such as logo creation, Instagram and TikTok management, content calendar development, photo and video production, and social media training. Abstract

This project was initiated to help LPK Fernan Indo Jaya, a vocational driving training center that still manages its finances using manual record books. As the institution’s activities grew, this traditional method became increasingly inefficient, and errors occurred easily, reports took a long time to prepare, and important data had a higher risk of being lost. To address these problems, the team developed a simple accounting system using Microsoft Excel that fits the daily operational needs of the institution. The project used a qualitative descriptive approach, where information was gathered through discussions with the owner and administrative staff, direct observation of how transactions were handled, and documentation of the system once it was implemented. The Excel-based system produced from this process includes several connected sheets that make it easier to record income from training services, track expenses, and automatically generate financial reports. The results show that the new system improves accuracy, saves time, and helps the management make more informed decisions. For the students involved, this project also served as a practical learning experience in understanding user needs, designing simple applications, and applying classroom knowledge in real work situations. Overall, the project illustrates how an accessible and user-friendly accounting tool can strengthen financial management for MSMEs and support future development efforts.

Abstract

This community service project aims to address the absence of structured and reliable accounting recording system in Zahrabomba, a micro-scale culinary business specializing in donuts and bomboloni. The lack of systematic documentation had caused difficulties in monitoring inventory, calculating production costs, and generating accurate financial reports, which in turn limited the owner’s ability to make informed business decisions. To resolve this issue, the project adopted a participatory approach involving direct observation, interviews, needs assessment, and system design tailored to the business’s operational characteristics. The intervention resulted in the development of an integrated accounting recording system covering chart of accounts, standardized transaction forms, procedures for inventory usage, sales recording, expense recognition, and the preparation of simple financial reports. The implementation of the system improved the accuracy, consistency, and traceability of financial information, enabling the owner to better evaluate profitability and manage resources. This project provides new insights into the importance of practical, easy-to-use accounting tools for micro culinary enterprises that often lack formal financial literacy. Future initiatives are recommended to include the digitalization of the system, training in basic financial analysis, and periodic evaluation to ensure long-term sustainability of the accounting practices.

Abstract

This project focuses on developing a comprehensive Tax Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for PT Momentum Sample Indonesia as a response to the company’s lack of formalized tax administration guidelines. Previously, tax-related tasks were performed based on informal habits, which led to inconsistent practices, unclear responsibilities, calculation errors, and increased exposure to administrative sanctions. Through a qualitative methodology involving direct observation, interviews with accounting/tax personnel, and examination of relevant documents, the program identified operational problems and designed standardized procedures for the completion of both periodic (SPT Masa) and annual (SPT Tahunan) tax obligations. The finalized SOP compiles step-by-step procedural narratives, workflow flowcharts, tax rate references, calculation templates, and document archiving standards to improve accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Its early implementation yielded notable results, including clearer process mapping, improved accuracy in tax computations, strengthened documentation systems, and the identification of previously overlooked 2023 tax outstanding through structured reconciliation with the Coretax DJP database. These findings show that the SOP functions not only as an operational guideline but also as an effective mechanism for detecting legacy compliance issues. Future recommendations include integrating automated tax features via accounting or ERP systems, conducting periodic internal compliance audits, routinely updating the SOP in line with regulatory developments, enhancing staff capability in digital tax platforms, and reinforcing the company’s digital archiving infrastructure.
