Abstract

The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pidum Unit of the Rote Ndao Police faces various challenges in an effort to deal with gambling crimes in the Rote area. Although the level of gambling that occurs is quite rampant, only a few have managed to bring it to the police level. This is due to the lack of community cooperation in uncovering the gambling case. There are 12 cases that have been handled over the last 3 years while the fact is that there are many gambling cases that have occurred, The author wrote this thesis proposal using a type of empirical legal research, namely by digging up information about legal phenomena in society, including the role of the police in overcoming gambling crimes at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pidum Unit of the Rote Ndao Police. The results of the study show that the role of the Police in the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pidum Unit in tackling gambling crimes in Rote Ndao has been implemented quite well. There has been a decrease in gambling cases over the past 3 years. However, the role of the police in tackling gambling also still needs to be optimized. The efforts made by the police have shown positive results, but there are still some challenges that need to be addressed. The obstacles faced by the police in dealing with gambling crimes handled by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the General Crime Unit of the Rote Ndao Police are the limitations of police members in handling gambling cases, the involvement of many people in cockfighting gambling, difficulties in obtaining evidence and a lack of public awareness of the dangers of gambling.

Abstract

− The research aimed to identify the occurrence of expressive illocutionary acts in the movie Paw Patrol: The Movie 2021 and to explore their types and intentions within the context provided. It utilized the framework proposed by Searle & Vanderveken (1985) and employed a descriptive qualitative approach to analyze the data. Both formal and informal methods were utilized to present the data, incorporating discussions and outcomes. The analysis revealed a total of 122 instances of expressive illocutionary acts in the movie, with protesting emerging as the most prevalent expression, constituting 25% of the acts with 31 utterances. In this study, 9 of the 12 expressive illocutionary acts were examined, including apologize 9%, thank 10%, condole 2%, complaint 10%, protest 25%, boast 10%, compliment 6%, praise 13%, and greet 15%.

Abstract

Freedom of worship is guaranteed by the 1945 Constitution and regulated in statutory regulations to prevent conflict between religious communities. The government issued Joint Regulations of the Minister of Home Affairs and the Minister of Religion Number 8 and 9 of 2006 concerning the Establishment of Houses of Worship as a reference in Indonesia, including in the City of Kupang. This research aims to analyze the meaning of freedom of worship from the perspective of human rights and law as well as the application of the 2006 PBM in the establishment of places of worship in Kupang City. The research method uses an empirical juridical and formal juridical approach, by analyzing field data and legal sources. The results of the research show that the fulfillment of the right to worship is implemented by the Ministry of Religion of Kupang City and other stakeholders through PERBER 2006 education, conflict mediation, and providing legal certainty. Implementation of PERBER 2006 is supported by regulations from the Mayor of Kupang and synergy with other stakeholders. To prevent conflict and increase understanding of PERBER 2006, synergy with stakeholders and local wisdom-based conflict resolution models are needed.

Abstract

Paciran Subdistrict is an area located in the northern region of Lamongan Regency. Among the 17 villages included in Paciran Subdistrict, one of them is Sidokumpul Village, where the residents work as fishermen, making fish the main commodity of the community. The fish they catch from the sea are directly sold to earn money, which is used as a means of exchange to meet their daily needs. However, as Muslims, they have an obligation to implement the teachings of Islam, such as how Islam provides guidelines on proper production methods, how to market goods correctly and truthfully, and how to consume goods in a good and proper manner. Therefore, both traders and consumers are required to apply values according to the religion they adhere to, which is Islam.Islam itself teaches humanity not to deceive one another in transactions, as a form of applying the principle of justice for all, so that social disparities can be reduced and human welfare can be achieved. The threat from Allah, as stated in the holy book Al-Qur'an, against traders (producers) who commit fraud is indeed severe. Although they may not immediately receive sanctions in this world, in the hereafter they will face eternal punishment. It is there that all deeds committed during their lifetime will be accounted for. May we not be among such people.

Abstract

The sole purpose of this analysis was to discuss the broader picture of fire incidents that occurred in industry due to electrical faults. Nowadays, fire incidents in industries as well as in residential and commercial buildings are a common case. Local and international print & electronic media report fire incidents every day. The fatalities are remarkable and also caused extensive property damage, and undoubtedly, it can be mitigated upon consideration of a few factors. This article identifies the exact causes of electrical faults, investigating previous fire incident reports in various industries and other possible reasons. During the past decades, there has been a noticeable change in infrastructure and industrial development worldwide. Because of land shortage and improper planning, the number of high-rise buildings in the industry sector increases without maintaining electrical standards, increasing fire incidents, fatality rates, and substantial property damages. Though strong laws, national and international standards, and regulatory measures existed, accidents occurred regularly. Also, there is no significant guideline for electrical product quality, run time, and materials selection, which plays a major role in fire incidents. This report anticipates understanding the lack in the existing system, considerable findings for installations, and extending to further studies to find out proper remediation.

Abstract

The development of online shopping applications gives people the choice to shop online or in person. Online shopping, which can be done anywhere, makes people choose to shop online. Competition in shopping applications requires manufacturers to increase consumers' repurchase intentions online. This research aims to determine the influence that consumer shopping experience and perceived value have on online repurchase intentions. The sample for this research was 100 respondents obtained by purposive sampling. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression. The research results show that consumer shopping experience and perceived value are proven to have an impact on online repurchase intentions.

Abstract

This research examines Ahmad Fatikhudin's strategy in the 2019 Bulakwaru Village Head election, using a case study qualitative research method. The theories used are Peter Scroder's political strategy theory and Firmanzah's political marketing theory. From the research results, it was found that Ahmad Fatikhudin's strategy in the 2019 Village Head election used the Cooperate Strategy by applying the principle of cooperation within a small team led by Kyai Idris Salis to stem investors who from the start of the nomination wanted to control every Bulakwaru village head election, strengthening fellow Village Head candidates so that not easily persuaded to join with investors, working together with other Village Head candidates so that there are only 2 (two) Village Head candidates, so that the voting public is not confused by the many Village Head candidates, utilizing social capital as religious figures and community leaders who have previously occupied position of chairman of the District KPU. Tegal 2003-2008 and also a former member of the District DPRD. Tegal for the 2009-2014 period, legislative candidate for 2014-2019 and 2019-2024, actively campaigning for women from religious circles, offering a vision and mission as well as programs whose ideas come from the community, such as infrastructure and providing standby cars for all levels of society, and securing votes by village youths as the last bulwark in facing covert movements from investors so that people do not abstain from voting.

Abstract

One way to maintain consistent quality and reduce losses caused by defective products is through preventive costs, assessment costs, and internal failure costs. This research aims to: (1) Determine the combined impact of preventive costs, assessment costs, and internal failure costs. (2) Identify which of these costs—preventive, assessment, or internal failure has a greater influence on defective products. The research method employed is quantitative descriptive. Sample selection follows the Purposive Sampling method, using quality cost reports from the ASQIRO packaged drinking water company for the years 2020–2023. Hypothesis testing is conducted using (1) F-test, (2) coefficient of determination test, (3) t-test, and SE/SR calculations. Based on the research results, there is a significant influence of preventive costs, assessment costs, and internal failure costs both simultaneously (as indicated by an F-test significance value of 0.000 < 0.05) and individually (parsially) with t-test results showing significance values for preventive costs (0.000 < 0.05), assessment costs (0.030 < 0.05), and internal failure costs (0.032 < 0.05). The study also reveals that preventive costs (SE: 49.00%) have a greater impact on defective products compared to assessment costs (SE: 21.04%) and internal failure costs (SE: 3.09%).

Abstract

Academic self-concept is students' perceptions or thoughts about their abilities in the academic field which are formed through experiences with the environment. Learning independence is an act of controlling the learning process where students take their own initiative in planning, implementing and evaluating their learning experiences taken from various learning sources. This research aims to determine the relationship between academic self-concept and student learning independence. This research uses quantitative correlational methods. The population in this study was all 285 class IX students at MTS Darul Ulum Sidoarjo. Sampling in this study used the proportional random sampling method and was taken according to the Slovin formula with an error tolerance of 5% and was collected from 166 students. Data were collected in this research by distributing questionnaires, with an academic self-concept scale and a learning independence scale. Data analysis in this study used the Pearson Product Moment correlation test technique and obtained r = 0.820 with a significance of 0.000 (p<0.05). This means that the hypothesis in this study assumes there is a positive relationship between academic self-concept and learning independence in class IX at MTS Darul Ulum Sidoarjo was accepted. This means that the higher a student's academic self-concept, the higher their learning independence.

Abstract

This paper presents a comprehensivse study on the strategic selection of Third-Party Logistics (3PL) locations, leveraging a multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) framework. As global supply chains become increasingly complex, the choice of 3PL providers and their locations has a significant impact on operational efficiency and service quality. Through an extensive literature review, this research identifies the key criteria influencing 3PL location selection, including cost, infrastructure quality, geopolitical stability, and market accessibility. Employing a case study approach, the paper applies an Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to evaluate and prioritize these factors, providing a quantifiable decision-making tool for businesses. The findings offer a nuanced understanding of the trade-offs involved in 3PL location decisions, and the paper concludes with actionable recommendations for supply chain managers and directions for future research.
