Abstract

This study examines the resistance of the Batu Beriga Village community to marine mining in their area. The main focus of this study is to evaluate the impact of marine mining activities and examine community responses to policies that have been implemented by the government. The results showed that the people of Batu Beriga Village refused to reject marine mining activities, because they were worried about the impact on their main livelihood as fishermen. This refusal is reflected in their request to the government to revoke the Mining Business License (IUP), as well as replace the Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW) that supports community welfare.

Abstract

The applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in drug development to combat antibiotic resistance, precision medicine, and antimicrobial stewardship are the main topics of this review, which examines the relationship between AI and antibiotic management and healthcare. The review emphasizes the revolutionary potential of AI in improving patient outcomes, optimizing antibiotic therapy, and tackling the worldwide problem of antibiotic resistance through a thorough analysis of recent research, case studies, and future prospects. The creation of AI-powered prediction models for antibiotic resistance, the incorporation of AI into clinical decision support systems, and the progression of gnomically-driven precision medicine techniques are some of the major themes. In addition, the paper addresses the difficulties and moral questions pertaining to the application of AI in clinical practice, such as concerns about algorithmic bias, data privacy, regulatory compliance, and provider acceptability. Researchers, physicians, legislators, and industry stakeholders can use artificial intelligence (AI) to transform antibiotic management and influence the course of infectious diseases in the future by placing a high priority on openness, cooperation, and interdisciplinary interaction.

Abstract

This research aims to help provide recommendations and improvements in calculating wages in UKM XYZ using the overlapping method and complying with it. It is hoped that this research can provide a clear picture of the existing incentive system in SME XYZ and provide a strong basis for analyzing and designing a more effective and sustainable incentive structure for the company. The data obtained in this research was obtained from interviews and direct observation at UKM XYZ. The findings obtained in the field indicate that UKM XYZ has not carried out appropriate system improvements, therefore improvements are needed. The results obtained after improving the recovery system using the overlapping method and complying with it were that the total new salary using overlapping was IDR 72,860,000 or an increase of 3.06% compared to the original salary. Meanwhile, by using the compliant method the salary increases by 1.54%. So from these results it can be concluded that the most suitable method to justify the salary structure of SME XYZ is the overlapping method.

Abstract

Depot Air Minum or abbreviated as DAM is an industrial company that treats raw water into drinking water and sells it directly to consumers in the form of bottled drinking water which is relatively cheaper and more affordable. The quality of water produced from refilling drinking water depots has recently deteriorated due to frequent problems such as refilling drinking water storage devices that do not have sterilizers, have low bactericidal efficiency, or distributors who do not know the quality of water, the type of raw water used, filling equipment, good drinking water storage tanks and their maintenance and treatment of treated water and lack of monitoring of filling drinking water storage tanks do not allow the quality of the filling water produced to meet the specified quality standards. The results of 20 drinking water depots that were observed, the number of drinking water depots that met the requirements for the bacteriological quality of drinking water (positive) and qualified for the quality of sanitary hygiene were 91.6% then the number of drinking water depots that met the requirements for bacteriological quality but did not qualify for the quality of drinking water sanitary hygiene quality was 8.33%. Then the number of drinking water depots that do not meet the requirements for bacteriological quality (negative) but meet the requirements for the quality of drinking water depot sanitation hygiene is 37.5% while drinking water depots that do not meet the requirements for bacteriological quality but do not meet the requirements for the quality of drinking water depot sanitation hygiene is 62.5%. To reduce the negative impact that can endanger the community as a result of drinking water depots that do not meet the requirements, researchers suggest that the state of sanitary hygiene in each drinking water depot be further improved, both in terms of the environment, equipment, handlers, and raw water.

Abstract

This research aims to increase the nationalist attitudes of fifth grade students at SD Inpres 2 Wagom through the implementation of character education by singing the mandatory national song before teaching and learning activities. The problem identified is the low level of nationalism among students, which can be seen from the lack of respect for state symbols and the lack of sense of pride as Indonesian citizens. The proposed solution is to include the activity of singing the national anthem into the daily routine at school as part of character education. This research uses the classroom action method with a descriptive qualitative approach to describe and summarize various conditions, as conditions in class V at SD Inpres 2 Wagom. The research results showed a significant increase in students' nationalistic attitudes after the implementation of this program. Students show an increased sense of patriotism, appreciation for state symbols, and pride as Indonesian citizens. In conclusion, singing the national anthem as part of character education is effective in increasing students' nationalist attitudes. The recommendation from this research is that other schools can adopt similar programs to strengthen national values ​​among students.

Abstract

Character education in school-age children, including elementary school students especially grade 1, is the initial foundation for their future growth and development. School-age children are defined as those aged between 6 and 12 years old. In this age range, school is an important part of children's development as they begin to take responsibility for their actions in interacting with their peers and adults. Character education at this school age can help shape children's behavior, ethics, and attitudes that will affect their future. This study aims to apply the four magic words psychoeducation and observe its impact on the social ethics of grade 1 students. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, this study describes the process and outcomes of the psychoeducation activities conducted in two grade 1 classes at SD Pertiwi Makassar. The implementation method of this program involved observation, interaction, and student responses during the activities. The preparation stage involved creating materials on the four magic words: “please”, “thank you”, “sorry”, and “excuse me”, as well as the use of videos to sing the four magic words song. The implementation stage included distribution of materials, literacy or reading of materials, reflection through discussion, and a sing-along activity. The results showed that this psychoeducational approach was successful in improving the understanding and use of the four magic words in daily social interactions. Students not only understood the concepts, but also showed consistent application during and after the activity. The conclusion of this study is that the application of four magic words psychoeducation is effective in improving the social ethics of grade 1 students. The descriptive qualitative approach allowed the researcher to get an in-depth picture of the study.

Abstract

This research aims to observe and find out more about the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Culture in the company PT Intraco Penta, TBK. Then the method used in this research is a literature study by collecting and analyzing journal articles, websites and scientific sources that are relevant to the topic of discussion. This finding is also supported by a number of references which discuss similar matters regarding the scope or background of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities realized by PT Intraco Penta, TBK.

Abstract

Livestock waste is the remaining waste from livestock business activities, such as livestock raising businesses, slaughterhouses, processing of livestock products, etc. Livestock waste generally includes all manure produced from livestock business activities, whether in the form of solid waste such as feces, liquid waste in the form of urine, gas waste in the form of CH4 methane gas, leftover feed, biogas, and organic waste. The total waste produced by livestock depends on the livestock species, the size of the livestock business, the type of business and the floor of the pen. This research aims to utilize livestock waste as raw material for making manure, which is a useful solution to support the agricultural and plantation sectors and minimize environmental pollution. It is hoped that fertilization can play a dual role, apart from providing nutrients, the added fertilizer can also reduce the toxicity of pollutants (Sudirja et al. 2023). This testing stage includes the process of making fertilizer and testing the fertilizer. In the process of making fertilizer using solid waste cow and goat manure taken from the livestock pens of the IPB University Vocational School.  Then, fertilizer testing was carried out by looking at the growth of red chili plants as a parameter for the success of the fertilizer. Based on the experiments that had been carried out, each replication produced mature manure with the characteristic black color, loose texture, odorless and at room temperature. Providing a mixture of cow and goat fertilizer to chili plants resulted in varying growth rate values ​​from the beginning of the fertilizer test, namely week zero, to the end of the test in the third week. This is due to differences in the adaptability of plants to environmental conditions.

Abstract

Shrimp farming produces wastewater as a byproduct. Wastewater management is necessary to reduce environmental pollution. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of filtration media using physical and chemical parameters as indicators.  The method applied is filtration by utilizing filter media in the form of silica sand, zeolite stone, greensand sand, manganese zeolite, bioball, and activated carbon.  Shrimp pond waste is flowed through three stages of filtration consisting of a pre-filter to increase pH, filter 1 to filter particles, and filter 2 to improve chemical parameters. The results showed that wastewater after the filtration process has a characteristic blackish turbid color and is odorless. Chemically, there was a decrease in pH from 8.8 to 5.4, a decrease in DO from 4.135 mg / L to 2.895 mg / L, and a decrease in hardness from 96.5 mg / L to 96 mg / L. The decrease in DO content and hardness occurs due to a reduction in the load of organic matter, while the decrease in pH is influenced by the interaction between contaminants and filtration media. Wastewater treatment with filtration methods has proven to be quite effective using predetermined materials.
