Abstract

This study aims to determine the phenomenon of the Madonna Whore Complex in the beautiful book Luka. The Madonna Whore Complex is a psychological theory proposed by the father of psychology, Sigmund Freud. In this theory, humanitas are separated into two kinds, namely, madonna, which means holy, love, and asexual. While whore, which means sexual, lust, and broken, People with this complex compartmentalize their partners into two camps: those who are considered to be lustful and life partners. This is due to the split between the flow of affection and the sexual flow in male desire. This phenomenon makes a person unable to see his partner sexually. The issues raised in the beautiful book Luka are about prostitution, feminism, and gender inequality. The method used in this study is to use qualitative methods that are expected to be able to determine the values contained in the beautiful book based on The Theory of Madonna Whore Complex by Sigmund Freud. This study shows the results of the analysis of intrinsic elements through sexual behavior contained in the beautiful book Luka related to the Madonna Whore Complex theory proposed by Sigmund Freud.

Abstract

The development of the world of cinema is currently growing rapidly, including in Indonesia. Various film themes have been produced as a means of entertainment and conveying messages to audiences. This research aims to describe the message conveyed in a film by analyzing the content qualitatively in the presentation of the story of the film "Budi Pekerti" which is a drama genre which will tell the story of a teacher who suddenly goes viral on social media. However, as a result of this, netizens' reactions turned out to endanger their careers and their families. The author discusses the initial problems studied regarding the delivery of a moral message and analyzes scenes from the film "Budi Pekerti", by applying the theory of semiotic analysis. The final result obtained by researchers is to know the forms of Cyberbullying and the moral messages in the film "Budi Pekerti".

Abstract

In developing an independent curriculum in Indonesia, one of them cannot be separated from the role of philosophy of science, which in curriculum development is the spirit or foundation of education which must be evaluated, studied periodically, innovative and dynamic following changing times, such as the philosophical Ki Hajar Dewantara who stated that education is appropriate. the nature of nature and the nature of the times, meaning that education develops according to the times. Of course, all the changes and developments that occur in the educational curriculum cannot be separated from the results of several studies on how the implementation of this independent curriculum can overcome learning loss, the effects of the Covid pandemic plus the global challenges of change from era 4.0 to Society 5.0, which has the impact that today's generation needs. have the ability to think critically, creatively and innovatively. In the independent curriculum, it can be seen that the superiority of its characteristics is that the material is simpler and more in-depth and there is a significant reduction in material. The materials presented are limited to essential material. Reducing material provides an opportunity for students to explore the material more comprehensively. Next is more independence, which means that in an independent curriculum, students are given more freedom to choose the subjects they are interested in according to their interests, talents, potential and aspirations. Meanwhile, teachers can teach according to the stages of student achievement and development. So it is more relevant and interactive. Students are guided to be able to collaborate, work together to form groups to identify problems that are becoming issues to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students, namely faith and devotion to God Almighty and noble character, global diversity, mutual cooperation, independence, critical reasoning and creativity. The essence of this independent curriculum is independent learning. This aims to enable students to explore their respective interests, potential and talents.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of the learning model project based learning in learning to write proposal texts for class XI students at SMA Negeri 8 Yogyakarta. This research is included in qualitative descriptive research. The subjects in this research were Indonesian language teachers and class XI students of SMA Negeri 8 Yogyakarta, even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The objects in this research are learning tools prepared by the teacher and proposal texts produced by class XI students at SMA Negeri 8 Yogyakarta. Data collection in this research was carried out by documentation and observation. The document in this research is the Learning Implementation Plan or Teaching Module. Furthermore, the observations in this research are participatory observations. Based on the analysis of planning, implementation and evaluation of learning, it was concluded that the project based learning model has been able to become a learning model that guides students' independence in learning Indonesian on the topic of activity proposal texts. With this independence, learning will be student-centered, so that the implementation of learning that focuses on new paradigm learning can be achieved optimally.

Abstract

Researchers often find that there are students' error' in using passive on writing texts. Applying proper grammar in writing recount text is usually a problem for students. The purpose of this study was to clasify the errors and the causes of English Literature students in using passive voice on their recount text writings at Pamulang University. Qualitative descriptive method was used to approach the data. The population in this study are about 200, third semester students of Unpam English Literature Department. Researchers take 20 students to represent the population sample with purposive sampling technique. The instrument is students’ recount texts. Researchers ask students to write down their unique experiences. Researchers collect data, identify data, classify passive voice errors and explain the causes of students’s errors in using passive voice on recount text. Students’ errors are classified into four categories based on the types of errors, they are omission errors, addition errors, misformation errors, and misordering errors. After finishing this research, researchers are expected to enrich lecturer and student knowledge and improve students' ability in useing passive sentences in writing recount text, and to find out the types and the causes of students' errors in using passive sentences in writing recount texts.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effect of applying differentiated learning model with Discover Learning model on learning outcomes of Pancasila and Civics Education (PPKn) in class X.3 SMA Negeri 6 Maros Regency. The research method used was classroom action research (PTK) with a double cycle design. The research participants consisted of 28 students of class X.3 SMA Negeri 6 Maros Regency consisting of various ability levels. Learning outcome data were collected through tests and observations. The results showed that the application of differentiated learning model with Discover Learning model can improve Civics learning outcomes in students of class X.3 SMA Negeri 6 Maros Regency. There were significant improvements in concept understanding, critical thinking skills, and learning motivation of learners after the application of this learning model. This finding shows that the use of differentiated learning model with Discover Learning model can be an effective alternative in improving Civics learning outcomes in students of class X.3 SMA Negeri 6 Maros Regency.

Abstract

This journal research aims to see the implementation of teacher perceptions in curriculum development. This research uses quantitative research by collecting structured data through measurement instruments such as questionnaires. From the results of observations through questionnaires or systematic observations regarding this curriculum change, first, this curriculum change has an effect on learning styles, for example, if previously teachers only relied on books and blackboards when teaching, now it is all digital and of course this also makes it easier for teachers to teach and makes it easier for students to receive material from the teacher and can also influence learning models or methods. Meanwhile, changes to the curriculum can improve the quality of education. With this curriculum change, there are also challenges faced by schools, one of which is that teachers need to be prepared to utilize technology effectively in the learning process and also how to implement it. So, in conclusion, this curriculum change is indeed important but must be adjusted to the curriculum and current developments. In accordance with research that the author observed, schools currently prefer the Independent Curriculum. Keywords: curriculum, teacher, perception

Abstract

This research is entitled "English Teachers' Perceptions of Independent Learning Curriculum Development". This aims to find out and understand teachers' perceptions of the current development of the independent curriculum and also whether there are any obstacles from both teachers and students, as well as what their hopes are for the future curriculum. This study uses a qualitative method. By interviewing several English teachers and there is some data related to the teachers who have been interviewed, I can conclude that the development of the independent curriculum has been quite helpful in several aspects, but teachers cannot give one hundred percent in implementing the independent curriculum at this time because the current curriculum is still just being implemented.

Abstract

Interpersonal perception has undergone a significant transformation in the digital era, especially through the influence of social media. The presence of social media has now influenced the way individuals understand, interact, and form interpersonal relationships. The writing in this journal uses descriptive qualitative research methods, namely research conducted to examine an object, a condition, a group of people, or other phenomena with natural or real conditions (without experimental situations) to create a systematic overview or detailed description that is factual and accurate. This research is a study intended to describe and analyze phenomena, events, social activities, attitudes, beliefs, perceptions or thoughts of people individually or in groups through observation and literature study so that a complete picture of an event can be presented which is intended to expose and clarify a phenomenon that occurs. From the discussion of interpersonal perceptions that occur due to social media in this digital era, it can be related to several theories of communication psychology, namely informative theory and behaviorism theory.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effectiveness of the discovery learning learning model in improving informatics learning outcomes of grade X. 3 students of SMA Negeri 14. The Classroom Action Research Method (PTK) is implemented in two cycles. The subjects of the study consisted of 34 students of grade X.3. Collection techniques include documentation, observation, and tests. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Discovery Learning Model learning model is very effective when applied in the classroom.
