Abstract

Requirements so that the product can be declared passed and standardized. One of the tests carried out is penetration testing, this test is carried out to determine the mechanical properties of the material being tested. In this research, a test instrument is made for penetration testing, where in this test it can be known directly, what happens to the material being tested when a sharp object is punctured or an impact with a sharp object occurs. The penetration tester identifier is made in the form of a cylinder with a PVC guide pipe with a size of 1 inches. To determine the accuracy of the test equipment, the indenter is dropped on the test material from a certain height, namely 160 cm, for the data collection process by marking the indentation marks and visually observing them. For the indenter material used 4340 aisi steel because the steel can be hardened to a hardness of 50 HRC. In the penetration test equipment there are forces acting. The force is that the indenter has a gravity of 30.9 joules. And the potential energy when the identor falls from a height of 1.6 m is 49.44 joules. And the velocity of the identor when it falls is 5.6 m/s.

Abstract

High MRR is a target to be achieved in the workpiece process using CNC turning. However, a slow process will affect the processing time of the product, and will increase production costs. To overcome this, it is necessary to set the right process parameters to produce the most influential contribution to the MRR and also to produce the maximum parameter value. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of parameters (cutting speed, spindle speed and depth of cut) on the MRR and to determine the proper setting of process parameters in order to produce the maximum MRR for SKD-11 steel. The experimental design used is the L18 (21 x 37) orthogonal matrix. The repetition was done twice. From the results of the study, the MRR of the workpiece by using a combination variable setting that has the maximum value occurred in the 2nd combination experiment, with a value of 4.648 mm3/minute. With Spindle Rotation set at 210 put/min, feed depth set at 1.5 mm, feed motion set at 0.05 mm/rev.

Abstract

Technology in the field of konstruki continues to grow every day. One of the technological developments in the field of construction is material innovation in the manufacture of light bricks. Light bricks are cement and sand, but today's light brick making uses increasingly complex mixed materials. The manufacture of light brick is also one of the material innovations that are trending because it can recycle unused materials again such as plastic waste, the rest of clothes that are no longer used, rice husks, and foam agents. Abstract

Light brick is a building material that is still quite foreign among the middle to lower society, the composition of light brick building materials is still quite interesting to research. In some previous studies, attempts to find the optimum composition of light brick mixtures used experimental methods that evaluated the influence of a factor in an experiment. The outcome of a production process can be influenced by a variety of factors. In this study was conducted to find the optimum composition of light brick building materials by applying the Response Surface Methode method. Research shows that the proportion of materials that produce the most optimal water absorption is rice husk (8.5%) and foam agent (0.9%), which is able to produce light bricks with an average water absorption of 50.22%.The results of this study also recommend a general equation to predict the absorption of light brick water when using both compositions of the material, namely: Y = 43,206 - 2.119X_1 - 1,228 X_2 - 8,479 x_1^2 – 2,264 x_2^2 - 13.785X_1 X_2 with X_1 and X_2 respectively is the proportion of rice husks and foam agents, respectively.

Abstract

DC generator is a device that can change over mechanical energy into electrical energy. To be utilized as elecrical energy, a mechanical energy is required that comes from the revulotion of the rotor from a DC generator. The rotation of this DC generator is always changing or not constant. So that the power that comes out of the rotation of the rotor isn’t ideal. One way to maximize the power from the DC generator output is to find the maximum power point at the DC generator output. This final project has the objective of being able to discover the greatest point at the DC generator output, maximum power point tracking (MPPT) utilizing the Perturb and Observe (PO) algorithm. To find the maximum point in the final project, components are needed, namely a DC generator, Buck-Boost Converter XLSEMI 6019, connection sensor, INA219 Current Sensor, and a resistor as a load that will be controlled by Arduino Mega 2560. By using the PO algorithm this final project can be made to displays maximum power, maximum current, and maximum voltage.

Abstract

Controlling equipment using voice commands is still not widely applied to electric cars. Generally, electric car equipment is still mostly controlled electrically. To optimize the control of this equipment, it is necessary to develop control via voice commands via smartphones. The purpose of controlling equipment using voice commands is to increase the ease and safety of users in controlling electric car equipment. The methodology used in this research involves changing voice commands through the speech recognizer contained in the SKMML application that has been developed and testing the response of electric car equipment when given a voice command based on a predetermined command code. From the test results, when the wiper electric car equipment is given a voice command, the percentage of success is 100% in the no-noise condition and the success percentage is 96% in the noise-inducing condition, with a duration of response to the voice command of 4 seconds. The failure of the tool response is due to poor articulation and intonation of voice commands, which makes it difficult for the speech recognizer to recognize voice commands that have been spoken.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The minimum level of precision is the goal to be achieved during the process of turning bends using a CNC lathe. In this case, a simpler permutation rate will result in a good permutation rate (smaller is better). a slow process will affect how long it takes the product to take care of and increase production costs. To work around this, a parameter setting procedure is needed that produces the least surface roughness of the workpiece. This study tries to identify the elements that affect the surface roughness of the CNC lathe process, as well as the combination of factors (feed speed, spindle rotation, and feed depth) to the minimum surface roughness. The Taguchi method and the L9 (3^3) orthogonal matrix were used in the research procedure. because there are three layers for the three process parameters. The repetition was done twice. The results of the study were used to calculate the surface roughness value. the levels of the process parameters of spindle rotation (put/min), feeding and depth of cut that can create surface roughness. The results of this study indicate the right combination of parameter variables to produce surface roughness with a minimum feed depth of 0.8 mm, and a feed motion of 0.3 mm/rev and a rotation of 2213 rpm.

Abstract

Most people definitely need a tool or a place to hang an equipment at home, there are various types of hangers such as hangers with several links or units with various variants of shapes. The unit hanger product is the most interested in the conclusion of the author who conducted a survey in the Sungailiat sub-district market area, because the product is compact and easy to move and can also be used as a decoration in the house, but it becomes a problem when the double tip binding function of the product does not work properly. or you could say it's easy to detach because the condition of the walls of each house is different. After identifying, the product has dimensions that are not the same and relatively thick so that it can cause a sinkmark as in the product that the author identifies. Therefore, the author designs of the unit hanger product by utilizing and maximizing the Arbug 420C injection molding machine at the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic by using the design steps from the book "Gastrow Injection Molds: 130 Proven Design 4Th" with the results of draft drawings, arrangement drawings , and working drawings. The author also analyzes the liquid flow using moldflow insight software with the help of a 3rd party PT. Reiken Quality Tools The results of the analysis are fill time of 5.275 seconds, Sinkmark of 5.367%, the position of the Air trap, Clamping force of 85 tons, and injection pressure of 69.89 Mpa as injection engine settings. Then after the design is done by selecting and considering each part and its function, we get a three plate mold with a slider where the cavity and core are inside the slider, a dispensing system without an ejector, using a pin point gate, a parabolic runner with a symmetrical layout

Abstract

Formalin foods are one example of foods that are not suitable for consumption. Healthy food should not be contaminated with harmful ingredients. If consumed for a long time, formalin foods can have a fairly high negative effect. These effects include indigestion, respiratory disorders, allergies, eye irritation, kidney damage, risk of cancer, and even damage to the intestines. Therefore, a tool is needed that can detect the level of formalin content found in food. By using an HCHO sensor, this tool can detect formalin gas levels in the food to be tested. The tool uses the ESP8266 nodeMCU as a microcontroller as well as a wi-fi module for serial connections to the internet. The test results of this tool are in the form of numbers in units of parts per million (ppm) which will be displayed on the LCD screen and applications on smartphones. If in the tested food contains formalin that exceeds the maximum limit, then the alarm on this tool will be active. The implementation method used is system design, assembling of formalin detector hardware, assembling the entire electrical circuit, making monitoring and control systems for tools, as well as testing the HCHO sensor and nodeMCU ESP8266. With a minimalist design that weighs 1.5kg and measures 30cm x 20cm x 30cm, this tool is very suitable for use because it is easy to carry everywhere. Based on the results of several experiments that have been carried out, using this tool, the value of formalin levels in dry and solid foods is greater than in soupy foods. The amount of concentration of formalin compounds added and the temperature of the food samples to be tested affect the readings. while for the test results on the nodeMCU ESP822 it can be concluded that the data can be sent as expected.
