Abstract

The use of Internet of Things (IoT) technology is currently developing rapidly. One form of application is Smart Home. The existence of this technology affects people's lifestyles to have comfortable and practical housing. This final project aims to develop and test a voice-based Smart Home application using Google Nest Mini. The stages used for this final project are literature study, design, testing, observation and data analysis, using a smartphone and Google Nest Mini 2nd as the main control system, as well as several other additional devices such as nodeMCU ESP8266, relay module, and sinricPRO. Tests were carried out in rooms at different distances with intervals of 0-500 cm. Based on the test results show that at a distance of -300 cm the tool can function properly.

Abstract

A Building Management System (BMS) is a control and monitoring system used in a building. BMS aims to integrate all devices contained in a building. The application of this system in a building or building has benefits such as time and energy efficiency. In this BMS system, a controller module has been developed which is equipped with the Modbus protocol so that it can be connected to the Human Machine Interface (HMI) software to control and monitor a building. Controlled objects include turning on and off room lights through HMI and alarms if smoke is detected, while monitoring is focused on room temperature and energy use in a building. The use of this device begins with logging in to the HMI and continues by entering the ON/OFF control sub menu on the HMI. Energy meter and temperature data are displayed on the HMI and can be saved in Excel. The temperature sensor used has an accuracy rate of 99.8%. The communication process between the control module and the HMI can work well and has an average data transmission delay of 2.5 seconds.

Abstract

Bangka Belitung Province is possible to increase the selling value of charcoal by utilizing coconut shell waste as charcoal fuel, especially in the Bangka area, Sungailiat District. To increase the selling value of charcoal, many SME (small and medium enterprises) actors use charcoal to make charcoal bricks. This can be seen in the briket production process at the marketing and community levels. In summary, it is necessary to make charcoal briket presses, especially charcoal crushers. The existence of a coconut shell charcoal crusher machine can speed up the brick production process and produce good quality bricks. The purpose of this research is to design and manufacture a coconut shell charcoal crusher using the VDI 2222 research method to produce a coconut shell charcoal crusher with a possible effective capacity of 10 kg/10 minutes, which can be carried out continuously and produces an output of 4.5 kg in one process, and produce charcoal granules with a maximum size of 2 mm.

Abstract

In the Sungailiat area, there are many SME (small and medium enterprises) culinary types, one of which is processed fried onions. Yuliana's mother is the owner of a fried onion business called "Bagor BTN". Every day 10 kg of shallots are peeled to produce fried onions, even up to 60 kg on holidays. To peel 10 kg of red onions takes about 3-4 hours. So far, the red onion peeling process is still done manually, namely by peeling it using a knife. The purpose of the design of this shallot skin peeler machine is to be able to peel 80% of the onion skin with a capacity of 10 kg/hour by using a peeler and a rubber peeler. The research method used is Method 3E (ECO-EFE-EFI) according to Dieter & Schmidt. The test results of the onion peeler machine that have been carried out show that 90% of red onions are peeled as much as 3 kg in one process within 10 minutes, so that in 1 hour they are able to peel 18 kg/hour onions.

Abstract

Currently, the information system for the inventory of goods at SMK Negeri 1 Air Gegas, which is mainly in the Regional Public Service Agency (BLUD) in the warehouse section, is still manual, for example recording incoming goods, outgoing goods and calculating stock of goods. Often the officers at the goods custodians have difficulty in collecting data on these goods and make them ineffective. The purpose of developing an inventory information system with barcodes at SMK Negeri 1 Airgegas is expected to be able to improve and make it easier for goods managers, making it easier for report makers. The method used is prototyping, data collection techniques, observation and interviews. In problem analysis at SMK Negeri 1 Airgegas for data collection, goods are still manual, the solution must be computerized. Based on the conclusion that the analysis of the results of the respondents strongly agree with the application made.

Abstract

Bone joint plates have a high production potential. This can be seen from the number of cases related to trauma to the bone which has increased quite high in Indonesia. The jaw bone joint plate or commonly known as the mini plate serves to connect the bones in the jaw that has been traumatized or broken. The manufacture of mini plates generally uses an EDM machine, wire cutting and laser cutting which can only process with a gradual working principle. Based on the description above, it is necessary to manufacture a micro punch machine for the manufacture of jaw bone joint plates (mini plates), so that they can be used to mass produce mini plates. This study aims to design a mini punch machine for the manufacture of a mini plate using a research method that refers to the book Product Design and Development (Karl T. Ulrich, Steven D. Eppinger) in order to obtain an optimal machine design. The results obtained based on the research method used, obtained a micro punch machine design for the manufacture of a mini plate using the working principle of a progressive tool, a pneumatic prime mover and a material strip drive using a fedder system.

Abstract

Maintenance on production machines plays an important role in the smooth running of the production process, so the time interval for the replacement of components and machine maintenance must be properly scheduled. The implementation method applied is the 5 why observation method to solve problems that arise from the results of initial data collection which is then followed by a process of planning improvements and corrective actions. This paper aims to discuss the action of restoring the condition (reconditioning) of the Do All Lt. 13 lathe which focuses on the problem: the cooling system (colling system), the braking system (brake system), and geometric testing. From the results of the function test, the damage to the brake system and coolant system returned to function. For 13 geometric tests there are some deviations that occur in the machine.

Abstract

Measurement of water turbidity, water pH, and water temperature as well as pond water replacement systems are still done manually, making it difficult for catfish farmers to monitor catfish ponds on a regular basis. Therefore, it is necessary to make a control device for measu ring water turbidity, water pH, and water temperature that can be done automatically and can be monitored via a smartphone. Water quality will be monitored in real time so that the water quality of catfish cultivation is in accordance with catfish culture standards. A good standard of turbidity for catfish 0 -50 NTU, pH 6.5 – 8 and the optimum water temperature for catfish rearing is 25°C - 30°C. The methodology used is the design and manufacture of hardware and software. The hardware used is arduino uno with input turbidity sensor, pH sensor, temperature sensor placed in the pool and ultrasonic sensor in the pool placed at a height of 46cm from the bottom of the pool and ultrasonic sensor placement in the reservoir at a height of 35cm from the bottom of the reservoir. Fish ponds are made using tarpaulins with size D=80cm, T=60cm. To fill the reservoir using a water pump, while the water source uses a 200L drum and drains the pool water using a solenoid valve. The test was carried out by giving the pond a pH of 4.01 -9.18, turbidity 27 -100 NTU, and a temperature of 26 -55⁰C. The test results are recorded in the test table. From the test results, it can be concluded that this tool can measure water turbidity, water pH, and water temperature with a success percentage of 90% and monitoring data on smartphones has a 100% success percentage so that this tool can be used by catfish farmers.

Abstract

Red ginger plant has a latin name, namely Zingiber officinale rubrum variety which is one type of rhizome plant that is already popular for consumption as spices and medicinal ingredients. The process of washing red ginger is still done manually. So that the red ginger washing process becomes easier and does not take a long time, it is necessary to design a machine that can help the red ginger washing process. The design of the red ginger washing machine refers to the VDI 2222 design method which has 4 (four) stages, namely planning, conceptualizing, designing, and finishing. From this conceptualizing stage, 3 (three) variants of the design concept can be generated and assessed based on technical and economic aspects. The concept that has been selected is then optimized on several alternative functions and calculation analysis is carried out on the parts that are considered critical. Next, a explode simulation and assembly animation is made on the system using SolidWorks 2021 software to see an overview of the functional parts of the red ginger washing machine. This red ginger washing machine is equipped with 2 (two) revolving brushes made of nylon and also a water spraying system using pressurized water and in the washing compartment there is a door to make it easier to insert red ginger. This machine can clean as much as 25 kg of red ginger/washing process, making it easier to fill the red ginger into the hopper. Keywords: red ginger plant, washing machine, VDI 2222

Abstract

In this final project, a lifting device was designed for the installation of molds on the Arburg 420 C plastic injection machine due to the problems with the large dimensions of the molds that could not be installed on the machine. Therefore the purpose of this final project is to create a lifting equipment degin for the installation of a 500mm X 400mm dimension mold that can lift the mold with a maximum weight of 700kg. in this final project, Auto CAD software is used to draw 2D designs and Solidworks to analyze the stress analysis. The method used is VDI 2222 methode. This method is carried out in 4 stages: plan, concept, design, and finish. The result of this final project is a lifting equipment is able to lift the molds with a maximum weight of 700kg. techically the frame of this tool is able to lift the molds with a maximum load of 1 tonne.
