Abstract

Laksa is a typical Indonesian food that has a shape like noodle. Laksa is often known as “lakso” for the southern part of Sumatra, especially Palembang and Bangka Belitung. Based on the survey results, the printing process is still manual by hand so it requires a lot of time and energy. The purpose of this final project is to design and manufacture a laksa printing machine with a vertical system. With a capacity of 1,5 kg/5 minutes. The vertical system laksa printing machine design method uses the VDI 2222 design methodology which has 4 stages, namely planning, conceptualizin, designing and finishing. The results of the design and manufacture of this machine are able to process laksa printing with a dough capacity of 1,5kg in 5 minutes with a laksa diameter of 3 mm which is driven by a 1 phase motor. Within 1 hour able to print 18 kg.

Abstract

The quality of the welding joint is important in welding. Welding current is one of the factors that affect the quality of the connection. This study aims to determine the effect of SMAW welding current on the impact strength and hardness of ST.37 steel. The variables used in this study are the current variations of 80 A, 100 A and 125 A. The method used is experimental. Based on the impact test data, the 80 A current variation obtained an average impact energy of 193.861 Joules, while the average impact value was 2.423 Joule/mm2. With a current variation of 100 A, the average impact energy is 203.918 Joules and the average impact value is 2.548 Joule/mm2. The current variation of 125 A obtained an impact energy of 203.918 Joules and an impact value of 2,469 Joule/mm2. The 80 A current variation has the lowest average impact value and the 100 A current variation has the highest average impact value. The results of the hardness test for current variations of 80 A, 100 A, 125 A, obtained the highest average hardness value occurs at a current variation of 80 A with a value of 51.00 , while the lowest average hardness value occurs at a current variation of 125 A with a value of 50.279 . Based on the research data, it can be concluded that the variation of the welding current affects the impact strength and hardness.

Abstract

The process of flouring the tubers of taro beneng by Mr. Arizal is still done manually. The dried tubers are pounded using a pestle, then after the results are smooth, filtered using a special filter and if the results are still rough, the mashing process is carried out again. This flouring process takes time and is repeated for a relatively long time. This study aims to design and build a flour milling machine that can produce flour with a mesh fineness level of 0.5 mm and a machine capable of producing flour with a capacity of 10kg/hour. The research method used is the VDI 2222 method, starting with the stages of planning, conceptualizing, designing and completing. Furthermore, the process of making and assembling machines at the Polman Negeri Babel workshop was carried out. Then testing and analysis were carried out to determine the extent to which the results of the design and manufacture of the machine were carried out. Based on the design results, the driving motor uses an electric motor 1 HP 1400 RPM with a shaft diameter of 35mm. The transmission system uses a pulley and belt, the penepung system uses a mono disk system. Based on the test results, the average machine is able to flour beneng taro tubers with a capacity of 11.2 kg/hour with 0.5mm mesh fineness.

Abstract

Currently the use of banknotes is unavoidable. Banknotes as a transaction media has been used by all people especially adults. Not only adults, even children already know how to use several banknotesnominal, that is by looking at the color of each banknotes nominal. Therefore, it is necessary to make a banknotes detection tool for blind people so that they are able to recognize the nominal value of banknotes through a sound output system so that it can make it easier for them to transact using banknotes. As for the method used in making this final project was doing test each banknotes nominal using TCS230 color sensor to get the RGB value which is then compared to the value of of each RGB value to be entered into the Arduino Uno database as a special value to initialize each banknote nominal. Based on the results of the tests carried out that the tool made was able to detect 7 nominal banknotes, namely Rp. 1,000, Rp. 2,000, Rp. 5,000, Rp. 10,000, Rp. 20,000, Rp. 50,000, and Rp. 100,000. As for the overall examination of banknotes nominal, this tool has a success percentage of 92.8% and the error percentage on the tool is approximately 7.2%.

Abstract

Most of the activities certainly can not be separated from the garbage. As human activities increase, the amount of waste produced also increases. This can be seen from the amount of garbage scattered around the environment. Trash boxes are often found with manual systems, so people feel lazy to throw garbage because they have to first open the lid of the trash can. From these problems, a final project was made, namely an automatic and talking trash box. The goal is to attract individual interest in disposing of waste in its place. The methods used in the final project are literature study, hardware and software design, hardware and software manufacture, hardware and software testing so that the tool can function properly. The experiment was carried out by taking ultrasonic sensor data 1 (object detection) used to detect the presence of objects in front of the sensor with a distance of 5 - 55 cm with a percentage error. For data collection ultrasonic sensor 2 (capacity detector) by testing various types of waste. For the types of waste, namely cardboard, plastic bottles, books, HVS paper, shoes, bags, tissue, plastic, cell phone cases, and paper bags with percentage capacities of 25%, 50%, and 75%. Testing the servo motor to find out the right angle of rotation on the lid of the trash box and testing the mini dfplayer to find out the sound recordings that are formatted can be in sequence.

Abstract

Solar panels are a tool for reducing the amount of pollution in the atmosphere because they are the most efficient source of energy. Matahari radiation from a solar panel in comparison to the tegangan and arus produced by the solar panel itself. Namun, dalam proses pemakaiannya, sebagian saja yang dimanfaatkan dari sinar matahari, daya yang diserap tidak digunakan sepenuhnya, karena tergantung dari jenis beban yang digunakan. Maximum Power Point Tracking is used on solar panels to optimize daytime performance. Maximum Power Point Tracking adalah sistem elektronis yang mengoperasikan modul solar panel untuk menghasilkan daya yang dapat diproduksi oleh solar panel dengan sistem tracking. In the following project, a manual tracking system is used to adjust the solar panel so that it does not lag behind the time of day with a maximum voltage of 17,42 v, a maximum current of 718,4 mA, and a maximum day of 13662 w. Solar panel 100 wp, buck-boost converter, sensor arus ina 219, sensor tegangan, potensio, lcd i2c, and microcontroller arduino mega 2560 are the components used.

Abstract

US-350 cutter grinding machine is one of machines in workshop of Politeknik Manufaktur Negeri Bangka Belitung and functions to make and sharpen cutters. Up and down sled doesn’t move so the cutting isn’t optimal. Vacuum cleaner hose is broken so vacuum cleaner can't work. One way to restore function of damaged component is by reconditioning US-350 cutter grinding machine. Goal of final project is restore condition of US-350 cutter grinding machine to an acceptable condition based on user's standard operating. Final project carried out is to recondition US-350 cutter grinding machine by making threaded boshings, replacing flat belts and timing belts, modifying idler belts, making vacuum cleaners, replacing broken vacuum cleaner hoses and replacing motor bearings. Testing final project is done by testing vibration using vibroport, testing engine geometry using dial indicator, testing each component function and testing accuracy. Test results show condition of cutter grinding machine has functioned well to operating conditions can be accepted by operating user. Condition in question is sledding of engine head has moved, vacuum cleaner system has been able to suck dust, electric motor has been functioning properly and isn’t noisy based on results of testing function of bearing according to user operating standards.

Abstract

The need for transportation facilities at this time is very important, one of which is a motorbike. At this time motorbikes are a necessity for the community considering the high level of congestion in big cities in Indonesia, so motorbikes are one of the right options. However, it also makes the level of production of motorcycles increase and the number of purchases increases as well as increases the number of criminal cases of motorcycle theft. Based on this, this research was made to reduce criminal cases of motorcycle theft by implementing a face recognition-based motorcycle security system that uses the ESP32- CAM component as a camera. The method used in making this final project is to recognize faces using the ESP32-CAM component as a camera and to conduct several experiments on the distance between the face to the camera and different light conditions. Based on the results of tests carried out the distance optimal for doing facial recognition is 25 cm to 45 cm. While the percentage of errors in the functional is 8%. The tool can work properly according to its function. Broadly speaking, this research can be applied to motorcycles as additional security.

Abstract

Along with technological developments, device systems can now be controlled using voice commands via smartphones. The use of voice commands as a control system is one of the most widely used operating systems today. The equipment drawer is a place for storing items whose work system is pulled and applied by the user, and security only by using a manual key. To make it easier to control the opening and closing of the drawer in this study, voice commands will be added to control it. The research method is to change the voice command sent via a smartphone with a command code created with the mit app inventor software, the results of the voice to text conversion will manage the microcontroller and the output will activate the L298N relay and driver to open and close via the solenoid lock as an electric switch and motor. dc as drive. This is done by giving commands via a smartphone with input from several different users and observing the control response on the solenoid lock working or not and measuring the maximum distance that the user can test. From the test results as many as 4 different user voices on the drawer open and close control can work well. The percentage of success is 90%, failure 10% is caused by a less clear articulation of the voice commands given. Testing the maximum distance that can be controlled is approximately 10 meters.

Abstract

Coconut fruit has many benefits, ranging from food, drinks, medicine to cosmetics. Almost all parts can be used such as, roots, wood, coconut leaves, shells, young coconut water and coir. Coir is used for brooms and crafts such as flower pots, hangers, bags and others. The process of stripping coconut husk in Bangka Belitung still uses a lot of traditional tools such as: machetes / machetes, large scissors and crowbars, so the process of stripping coconut husk requires a lot of energy, requires a long time, requires special skills and the risk of work accidents. So, in this final project, a coconut husk peeling machine was designed and made by prioritizing work safety, ergonomics and fast in peeling coconut husk. This coconut husk peeling machine uses 2 rollers in the form of a cylinder with 16 plates attached to the peeling pipe, 12 flat plates and 4 jagged plates. The two rollers rotate in the opposite direction aiming to tear the coconut husk. The engine is driven by a 6.5 PK gasoline combustion motor with a maximum rotational speed of 3600 RPM passed by a sprocket chain to the gearbox input with a sprocket ratio of 1:3 rotational speed and the power coming out of the gearbox 1:40, the power coming out of the gearbox output is passed using a chain transmission and sprocket connected by a rolling roller. This machine is able to peel coconut husk with the longest time of 23 seconds and the fastest time of 13 seconds.
