Abstract

SMAW (Shield Metal Arc Welding) welding is a welding process by joining two or more metal materials using a wrapped electrode as heat energy to melt the material. In this study, the SMAW welding machine was tested at the Polman Babel mechanical workshop to determine the difference (difference) between the current output value of the welding machine and the value indicated by the measuring instrument during welding. Then the deviation number is compared with the permissible current tolerance using the British Standard BS 7570:2000 reference standard, which is 10%. Welding machines that will be tested are 2 models, namely ewm pico 300 and Miller gold star 402 as many as 6 pieces. This research uses St37 steel and the current variations used are 75A, 150A and 225A on the ewm pico 300 and 99A, 198A, and 270A on the miller gold star 402 engine. within the tolerance limit where the largest deviation is found in machine 2 setting 75A, which is 7.46%. On the miller gold star 402 machine, there are 2 machines showing current deviations that are outside the permissible tolerances, which at engine 2 settings 198A and 270A are 16.4% and 10.9%, engine 3 all currents are 19.7%, 19 ,1%, 16,2%.

Abstract

The entry of electrical energy in Indonesia relies on fossil energy, which is non-renewable energy. Where over time this energy production will decrease and increase natural damage. Therefore, it is necessary to use renewable energy such as ocean current energy, where the potential of this energy in generating electrical power in Indonesia is 17.9 GW. This potential is used to manufacture a prototype of a marine current power plant (PLTAL), where the advantage of this prototype is to use a permanent magnet DC generator which has the advantage that it can be operated without paying attention to frequency stability, so it does not need a governor. The purpose of this study is to analyze the power generated by a permanent magnet DC generator with the rpm value obtained from the DC motor which will later be used as a reference in the PLTAL prototype. The research method used is a quantitative method, by conducting a literature study, designing and compiling the working concept of the tool, testing the tool and collecting data, and the last stage is analysis. The minimum power generated by a permanent magnet generator with a source from a DC motor rotation is 1.55 Watt and the maximum power generated is 12.87 Watt. Permanent magnet DC generator that uses Neodymium (NdFeB) magnets arranged tightly around the rotor can produce a strong induced magnetic field in converting mechanical energy into electrical energy.

Abstract

Bangka Belitung state manufacturing polytechnic is one of the public universities that there are many tooling machines. One of the tooling machines located in the babel polman laboratory is a bemato type 1224BV lathe tooling machine that will be researched with condition based monitoring methods. In this study, the authors have done data on the accuracy of geometry, checking the viscosity of lubricants, checking automatic feeding eaters and checking vibrations on spindles. In each of the studies that have been done on average has experienced irregularities. The results found in this study are deviations in geometric accuracy by 47%, viscosity that has passed ISO VG by 27%, eaters on automatic feeding by 33% and vibrations in spindles by 33%. The conclusion obtained in this study is the annihilation that occurs in lathes whether the deviations that have occurred in the tooling machine are too far from the permissible limit with the aim of establishing the tightening of the maintenance scheduling system on the lathe machine using the condition based monitoring method.

Abstract

Not everyone has a normal eye condition, there are some people who have vision problems from birth, and some are caused by the person having an accident. To help with these problems, it is possible to design a tool for visually impaired people based on arduino nano that can facilitate the visually impaired to carry out daily activities. This tool will provide information in the form of distance of an obstacle in the form of sound and user location information, hc-SR04 ultrasonic sensor is used to detect obstacles or obstacles that provide sound output in the form of buzzers. As for location data using the 6m neo ublox gps module sent using the gsm sim 800l module.

Abstract

Resam itself is a wild plant that commonly grows around shady and moist cliffs, resam plants can be found in almost all tropical and subtropical regions in Asia. Previous research using resam fibers as composite reinforcement materials showed that resam fibers have an effect on tensile strength and impact strength based on NaOH treatment. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to utilize resam fiber as a composite reinforcement material. Not only resam fiber, this study also utilizes shaved wood powder / itchy field as a composite strengthening added material. The method used in this study is a factorial experimental method, where the parameters used are variants of fiber volume fraction and wood powder. The volume fraction variant used is 8% fiber: 4% wood powder, 6% fiber: 6% wood powder, 4% fiber: 8% wood powder. The results of tensile testing showed the highest tensile strength was located at a percentage of 8% fiber: 4% of wood powder was 14.5 MPa and the lowest tensile strength was located at 4% of fiber: 8% of wood powder was 12.64 MPa. While the results of impact testing showed the highest impact strength was at a percentage of 8% fiber: 4% wood powder which is 35.52328 Kg /² and the lowest impact strength was located at a percentage of 4% fiber : 8% wood powder which is 23.4041 Kg / mm ².

Abstract

Perumda Air Minum Tirta Bangka is a Regional Owned Enterprise (BUMD) of Bangka Regency that provides clean water services to all its customers. The services provided to the community are still conventional, where people who want to apply for the installation of new connections and customers submit complaints can only go directly to the office on weekdays. Submission of information regarding the obstacles that cause air not to reach the customer's house is also ineffective so that the problem is rarely known by the customer. Based on the problems that have been described, a research will be carried out which aims to design a Webiste-Based Information System for Perumda Air Minum Tirta Bangka. Methods of data collection in this study using the method of observation and interviews. For the design method using the waterfall method, which consists of stages of analysis, design, code and testing. The existence of this information system, hope it can help service between customers and the company to making it easier for customers to get information, apply for new connections and submit complaints they experience.

Abstract

3D printing technology using the Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) system is one of the manufacturing processes currently being developed. The rapid prototyping process makes it easier for academics in research. Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) filament material is the type of material used in this research. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of the chamber on the 3D printing machine DIY (Do It Yourself) FDM type Cartesian ender model on the quality of product dimensional accuracy results. The method used in this research is experimental by using a chamber on a 3D printing machine and using process parameters. The results of the research by testing and measuring, it is found that the chamber affects the accuracy of the product dimensions with the heat bed temperature (80 ℃), nozzle temperature (230 ℃), print speed (40 mm/s), infill density (40%) and the use of layer thickness. (0.20 mm) shows a significant result of product dimensional accuracy.

Abstract

3D printing technology is a technique that uses a material filling method to print products, which is usually called the Additive manufacturing technique. This technique has often been used in various industrial fields, including construction, health, and prototyping. Making 3D printing is what is sought to replace metal materials. Of the many 3D printing technologies, the most frequently used is Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM). The workings of the FDM machine is by means of thermoplastic extrusion through a hot nozzle at a melting temperature, then the manufacture is made layer by layer to form a product. The purpose of this research is to optimize the parameters of the 3D printing process using ABS filament for tensile strength using the Taguchi L9 OA method. The various process parameters that will be used in this research are Nozzle temperature °C, Bed temperature °C, Layer Height mm. that the optimal process parameter values ​​for the tensile strength of ABS filament are Nozzle Temperature 245°C, Layer Height 0.20 mm, Bed Temperature 90°C.

Abstract

Information on existing health service facilities in Bangka Regency is still inadequate due to the absence of an information system or application that provides information about existing health service facilities in Bangka Regency. Therefore, a means of disseminating information is needed to make it easier for the public to obtain information about the location and available health care facilities. So that in this study an Android-based application was designed which aims to provide location information and health service facilities. In this study, data collection was carried out by taking data from every service facility in Bangka district. This application is made using the waterfall method or waterfall diagram. The literature study that supports the design of this application development uses UML. While the software used to build this application is Android Studio 4.22. The results of this study are expected to assist the community in providing information about locations, routes that can be passed, and health services found in each health service unit.

Abstract

Composite is the process of mixing or combining two or more materials where the two materials have different properties, the results of the mixture can be referred to as (composite materials). The purpose of this research was to make composite specimens made from epoxy resin, Hgm, balsa wood fiber as natural reinforcement and carried out impact and tensile tests to determine whether the strength of the composite could be an alternative as a substitute for protective Toe caps for safety shoes. The balsa wood used in the tensile test specimen is in the form of sticks with a length of 16cm and a thickness of 3mm which has 3 test parameters, namely 1 balsa stick, 2 balsa sticks, and 3 balsa sticks. As for the impact test, 1 stick of balsa stick with a length of 7.5 cm and a thickness of 3 mm. Keywords: Composite, Balsa wood, Hgm, Epoxy, Impact and Tensile
