Abstract

The design of this shopping center is located on Mongonsidi street, Medan City, North Sumatra, Indonesia. The area on the site is in the center of Medan City, where the surrounding buildings are commercial building areas and densely populated residential areas with the population of Medan City being 2,460,858 people this year. The area on the site has the potential to be used as a place for shopping and recreation. However, this area has limited facilities and infrastructure that is not well organized, especially the lack of greenery in the form of plant vegetation. For the need for activity generators in the site location area, namely on Mongonsidi street, the design that will be created is a mall building in the form of a public business building and as a place for shopping and recreation. The design of the shopping center building uses a Tropical Architecture approach as a green open space and provides adequate lighting so that building users feel more comfortable when carrying out activities inside the building.

Abstract

Labuan Railway Station has been an integral part of the history of Indonesian railways since it began operating in the city of Medan for a significant period. Its existence has become an important marker in the cultural heritage of Medan, North Sumatra. Unfortunately, this station has now experienced a significant decline in operations and facilities, resulting in its current inability to operate fully. Therefore, a revitalization effort is necessary, focusing on providing new facilities without neglecting the preservation of the existing building's values. This study aims to evaluate the strategies required to redevelop the role of Labuan Station as a functional transportation hub while maintaining the historical integrity and authenticity of the building. Qualitative methods and a case study approach are used to analyze the challenges and opportunities associated with reviving the station's operations and redesigning its facilities. It is hoped that the results of this study will provide more comprehensive insights into how to enhance the function of railway stations with historical value. Consequently, this study can serve as a guide for stakeholders in redesigning Labuan Station without diminishing the historical values inherent in the station, as well as developing sustainable strategies for similar stations in Indonesia.

Abstract

The library is a place that is in charge and responsible for the availability of complete information and the provision of fast services according to information needs, so that when accessed users can be satisfied in searching for information. Currently, libraries are starting to be displaced by modern times. Instead of being a place to get information to broaden your knowledge, now they are starting to be displaced by digital technology, such as cellphones, laptops, TV, and other technology, which are more interesting, informative and can be accessed by people. anyone, including people with disabilities. This is clearly illustrated in the regional library of North Tapanuli district, specifically the one in Tarutung, which is not well organized, uncomfortable, unable to facilitate the large number of users and still uses print media as a source of information which results in a lack of interest in reading, especially for children and teenagers. , and is not accessible to everyone, including individuals with disabilities. Therefore, it is necessary to relocate and redevelop the public library in the city of Tarutung through values in architecture with inclusive design as a process to make the public library a public area accessible to everyone and capable of transforming a multi-purpose space that integrates with the environment so that it will support increasing public literacy with good public library planning.

Abstract

The selection of the appropriate lecturers for the Computer Science Engineering program is an important factor in maintaining the quality of education in higher education institutions. However, the selection process often involves subjectivity and complexity, especially when it involves multiple criteria and preferences from various relevant parties. Therefore, an intelligent system is needed to assist in selecting the right lecturer. This study aims to develop an Intelligent E-Survey System for Determining Lecturers in the Computer Science Engineering Program using Fuzzy Inference System (FIS). This method was chosen because it can overcome the complexity and subjectivity in decision-making, especially in situations that are uncertain and ambiguous..

Abstract

Medan, a major city in Indonesia, has a substantial youth population. To foster positive development and prevent negative activities among adolescents, a dedicated space is essential. Hence, the Youth Center was established to create a comfortable and quality environment where youths can develop their talents and skills. The Youth Center offers sports, arts, and other supportive facilities designed to promote positive activities. Its main goal is to enhance the capabilities and potentials of adolescents, aiming to cultivate a responsible and high-quality younger generation through its facilities and programs.

Abstract

Karakteristik Petani Dalam Usaha pertanian di Indonesia. Pertanian di Indonesia dilaksanakan sesuai amanat UU no 16 tahun 2006 mengenai sistem penyuluhan pertanian dilakukan oleh Dinas pangan, pertanian. Untuk menginformasikan kebijakan pemerintah terutama dibidang pertanian serta untuk meningkatkan kualitas sumberdaya manusia terutama petani maka dibutuhkan kelompok tani di Indonesia. Oleh karena itu tujuan penelitian ini adalah: Mengidentifikasi Karakteristik petani di Indonesia. Mengetahui peran penyuluh terhadap petani di Indonesia Dalam penelitian ini penentuan sampel menggunakan metode google book, jurnal- jurnal dan skripsi. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat di simpulkan: Karakteristik petani 100% petani memiliki umur yang produktif, bedasarkan jenis kelamin 100% berjenis laki-laki, tingkat pendidikan 100% berperan pendidikan SD, Berdasarkan luas lahan berbagai macam lebarnya.

Abstract

Treadmill adalah alat olahraga yang dirancang untuk mensimulasikan aktivitas berjalan, berlari, atau mendaki pada permukaan datar atau miring di dalam ruangan. Alat ini terdiri dari permukaan berjalan yang bergerak secara terus menerus, biasanya dilengkapi dengan penggerak yaitu motor. Penggunaan treadmill telah menjadi salah satu pilihan utama dalam melakukan olahraga kardiovaskular di rumah atau di pusat kebugaran. Namun, terdapat beberapa permasalahan kesehatan yang muncul akibat penggunaan treadmill yang kurang bijaksana. Banyak pengguna yang tidak memperhatikan detak jantung dan kadar oksigen dalam tubuh saat berolahraga. Hal tersebut, dapat berakibat kecelakaan saat berolahraga bahkan berpotensi terkena serangan jantung jika dipaksakan untuk berolahraga. Dalam upaya meningkatkan manfaat kesehatan dari latihan fisik, skripsi ini bertujuan untuk memberikan solusi yang lebih cerdas dan inovatif dengan mengontrol kecepatan motor pada treadmill dengan memanfaatkan data detak jantung dan kadar oksigen dalam tubuh pengguna. Dengan memanfaatkan teknologi sensorik seperti sensor detak jantung dan kadar oksigen, sistem dikembangkan untuk mengukur dan mengintegrasikan data ini ke dalam algoritma sistem kontrol. Dengan demikian, skripsi ini dibuat bertujuan agar pengguna treadmill dapat berolahraga dengan aman dan nyaman. Dengan memanfaatkan metode fuzzy logic untuk mengolah data detak jantung dan kadar oksigen dalam tubuh sehingga berpengaruh terhadap kecepatan treadmill.

Abstract

Analisis faktor yang mempengaruhi turunya harga jual apel di Nongkojajar, Desa Andonosari, Kecamatan Tutur, Kabupaten Pasuruan. Apel (Malus Pumila.) merupakan salah satu komoditas pertanian yang memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi dan penting bagi pendapatan petani. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data primer dikumpulkan melalui wawancara langsung dengan ketua kelompok tani di Desa Andonosari, serta observasi lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa usaha tani apel di desa Andonosari mulai tahun 2020 mengalami penurunan yang sangat drastic,faktor yang mempengaruhi turunya harga jual apel sanglatlah banyak diantaranya adalah musim yang tidak menentu,buah apel bukan salah satu buah unggulan yang banyak di cari Masyarakat.Dengan adanya penurunan harga jual apel tersebut tidak banyak dari para petani yang mengalami kerugian dan beraliansi menanam jeruk,yang awalnya dari 100% para petani apel sekarang hanya tinggal 50%,karena Sebagian para petani disana memilih untuk menanam jeuk,holtikultura,dan juga memelihara hewan ternak.Meskipun begitu usaha petani apel di Desa Andonosari masi bisa dikembangkan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa petani apel di Desa Andonosari masih bisa berkembang dan memberikan keuntungan finansial yang signifikan, tetapi juga berkontribusi pada keberlanjutan lingkungan dan perekonomian bagi para petani yang ada di sana.

Abstract

In the context of the Medan City Library, situated in a bustling and densely populated urban area, there is a pressing need for biophilic architectural design to address urban community challenges related to development, building comfort, and the monotony of city life. This approach seeks to respond to the issues posed by biophilic architecture by integrating natural elements into the design to enhance user comfort. Several steps are necessary to finalize the design of a contemporary library using biophilic architecture alongside other structures. These include evaluating the functional roles of additional buildings in architecture, modernizing the approach to library buildings, and applying biophilic principles such as thermal, visual, and natural lighting considerations, natural analogies, and spatial characteristics. The exploration of, digital biophilic architecture has revealed opportunities to adapt biophilic architectural elements into modern forms that align with current advancements, thereby supporting natural elements, natural analogies, and spatial qualities.

Abstract

This research focuses on analyzing damage to electric motor bearings in super mixer machines in the pharmaceutical industry using the RCM method. Mixer machines are a vital component in the pharmaceutical production process, used to mix ingredients with high precision. Failure of these machines can cause significant production disruptions. The power produced increases with increasing load, indicating the efficiency of the machine in converting electrical energy into mechanical energy. The results showed that after implementing RCM, the machine was free from failure for 109 days, which was 38.4% of the total observation duration (284 days). This shows that RCM is effective in reducing the incidence of damage, although there is room for further improvement. In this research, measurements and analysis were carried out on the voltage, current and power of the super mixer machine at various load conditions, namely 0 kg, 25 kg, 40 kg, 50 kg and 75 kg. Evaluation results show that the voltage, current and power of the machine vary depending on the applied load, with indications that higher loads tend to cause increased current and decreased voltage, which can affect machine performance. Based on the data analysis, it was found that the optimal load for super mixer machine operation is in the range of 25 kg to 50 kg, where the machine shows stable and efficient performance. By implementing the developed maintenance strategy, it is hoped that it can increase the reliability and performance of super mixer machines, reduce the frequency and duration of downtime, and optimize production processes in the pharmaceutical industry. This research makes a significant contribution to the development of effective industrial machine maintenance strategies and can be applied to similar machines in various industries.
