Abstract

In today's ever-evolving digital era, social media has become one of the most influential tools in various aspects of life, including in the field of entrepreneurship. Social media not only functions as a means of communication and social interaction, but also plays an important role in marketing activities, building brands (branding), and business development. This study aims to examine in depth the role of social media in supporting business growth. The methods used include literature studies by analyzing various scientific references such as journals, books, and other trusted sources related to the use of social media in business development, as well as direct interviews with business owners. The results of the study revealed that the effective use of social media, especially through the creation of creative content, contributed greatly to increasing sales figures. A case study on Esier Florist shows that they have succeeded in utilizing digital media to strengthen their brand and build closeness with consumers. The strategies implemented include: building an existence on social media platforms, using storytelling techniques to form a brand identity for example by conveying the story behind the establishment of a flower bouquet business, the quality of the materials used, and the values upheld in each product. This approach helps create an emotional bond with customers. In addition, Esier Florist also actively analyzes data and input from consumers to continuously improve their services and products

Abstract

Indonesia is a maritime country with the second-longest coastline in the world after Canada. With vast seas and year-round sunshine, Indonesia has three main factors for salt production: seawater, coastline and sunshine. However, despite its huge potential, Indonesia continues to import salt. This study aims to assess the productivity of salt farmers in East Java. The study used secondary data from relevant agencies. The results show that the productivity of salt farmers in East Java in 2020 is 17,937.169 kg/person. However, local production is only able to fulfill about 20% of the total salt demand in East Java. This low fulfillment is caused by several factors, including erratic weather, limited land, and the number of workers

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze trends and directions in sustainability report research using the SINTA indexed journal database and Emerald Insight international journal publications. This study uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach by reviewing open access articles published between 2019 and 2025. This study uses a framework of legitimacy theory, stakeholder theory, agency theory, signaling, and institutional theory that includes empirical and conceptual studies. The results of the analysis show that most studies in Indonesia use a quantitative approach with data from company annual reports from the Indonesia Stock Exchange. On the other hand, articles from Emerald Publishing combine quantitative and mixed methods approaches based on GRI standards as a measure of sustainability. Theoretically, these results increase the relevance of legitimacy theory and stakeholder theory as conceptual foundations in sustainability report analysis. Practically, this study highlights the importance of SR implementation and monitoring as tools for corporate transparency and accountability

Abstract

Abstract

The acceleration of digital transformation has significantly enhanced information and communication technology (ICT) competence among Indonesian citizens, thereby strengthening the nation’s overall competitiveness. Despite this progress, there remains a need to understand the extent to which government education spending influences the improvement of ICT skills in both the short and long term. This study investigates the dynamic effects of education expenditure on ICT competence in Indonesia using provincial-level panel data sourced from the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics and the Ministry of Finance, covering the period from 2015 to 2023. The analysis employs the Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) to capture both temporal and cross-sectional variations. The results reveal that, in the short term, government education spending has a negative effect on ICT competence, possibly due to implementation delays or inefficiencies in resource allocation. However, in the long term, education spending contributes positively and significantly to the enhancement of ICT competence, indicating the cumulative benefits of sustained investment in education. Furthermore, internet access is consistently found to have a positive impact on ICT competence, emphasizing the importance of digital infrastructure. These results imply that consistent and well-targeted education investments, particularly in digital literacy and infrastructure, are essential for sustaining long-term ICT competence and supporting Indonesia’s digital transformation agenda
