Abstract

This study aims to analyze the causal relationship between the failure of political party recruitment design and the emergence of legislative incompetence and its implications for the quality of national economic policy. The background of this study is based on the phenomenon of low capacity of legislative members in carrying out legislative, budgeting, and oversight functions, which directly impacts the country's economic performance. The method used is an explanatory sequential mixed-methods approach with an institutional analysis and economic policy evaluation approach. Quantitative data were obtained from the profiles of members of the House of Representatives (DPR) for the 2019–2024 period and macroeconomic indicators, while qualitative data came from in-depth interviews and analysis of policy documents. The results show that weak regulations in political recruitment, particularly the absence of competency standards and merit-based selection mechanisms, have resulted in the dominance of legislators with low economic capacity. This condition triggers distortions in the legislative process, budgeting, and oversight of economic policy, characterized by budget misallocation, inconsistent policies, and low quality economic regulations. Further implications are seen in increasing fiscal inefficiency, a weakening investment climate, and hampered inclusive economic growth. This study concludes that reform of the political recruitment system is a fundamental prerequisite for improving the quality of national economic policy and promoting sustainable development.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of climate finance and corporate sustainability on firm value in multinational companies operating in Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 125 respondents through a structured questionnaire measured on a Likert scale. The analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 3) to evaluate both direct and indirect relationships among variables. The results indicate that climate finance has a positive and significant effect on firm value, while corporate sustainability demonstrates a stronger positive influence. Furthermore, climate finance significantly affects corporate sustainability, indicating its role as a key driver of sustainability practices. Mediation analysis reveals that corporate sustainability partially mediates the relationship between climate finance and firm value, with a significant indirect effect. These findings suggest that the value of climate finance is maximized when it is effectively translated into sustainability practices. The study contributes to the literature by providing empirical evidence from an emerging market context and highlights the importance of integrating financial and sustainability strategies to enhance firm value. Practical implications emphasize the need for managers and policymakers to strengthen sustainability-oriented financial mechanisms to support long-term corporate performance and environmental responsibility.

Abstract

This study investigates the integration of digital twin technology and Internet of Things (IoT) sensors in improving monitoring accuracy and maintenance effectiveness within manufacturing companies in the Cikarang industrial region. A quantitative research design was employed using data collected from 125 respondents representing operational, maintenance, engineering, and managerial roles. The measurement instrument was developed using a Likert scale, and data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 3). The results indicate that the integration of digital twins and IoT sensors has a significant positive effect on monitoring accuracy, demonstrating that real-time data synchronization and simulation capabilities enhance system visibility and anomaly detection. Monitoring accuracy is also found to significantly influence maintenance effectiveness, highlighting the importance of accurate and timely information in supporting predictive maintenance practices. Furthermore, digital integration directly affects maintenance effectiveness, indicating that simulation-based insights and real-time data contribute to improved maintenance planning and reduced downtime. The model explains 61.2% of the variance in maintenance effectiveness (R² = 0.612), suggesting strong explanatory power. This study contributes to the literature on Industry 4.0 by providing empirical evidence on the role of integrated digital technologies in enhancing operational performance in a developing country context. Practically, the findings suggest that manufacturing firms should prioritize the integration of digital twins and IoT sensors to achieve higher monitoring accuracy and more effective maintenance strategies.

Abstract

Lake Limboto is one of Indonesia's national priority lakes subject to severe ecological pressure resulting from sedimentation and land-cover change within its catchment area (DTA). In response, the Watershed and Protected Forest Management Center of Bone Bolango (BPDAS Bone Bolango) implemented a Technical Civil Forest and Land Rehabilitation (RHL) program over the 2021–2025 period, constructing a total of 172 structures comprising Gully Plugs (GP), Sediment Retention Dams (DPN), Rainwater Harvesting Installations (IPAH), Infiltration Wells (SRA), and Ecohydraulic structures. This study analyzes the annual trends, proportional distribution, and functional relevance of each structure type in supporting the ecosystem resilience of Lake Limboto. Data were obtained from the BPDAS Bone Bolango Database (2026) and analyzed through annual trend tabulation, proportional analysis, and qualitative literature-based assessment. Results indicate that GPs dominated the total output at 79 units (45.93%), followed by IPAH and SRA at 34 units each (19.77%), DPN at 19 units (11.05%), and Ecohydraulic at 6 units (3.49%). Annual implementation fluctuated, peaking in 2022 (64 units) and 2024 (54 units), with complete stagnation in 2025. The combined deployment of erosion-control and water-conservation structures reflects an integrated conservation approach aimed at strengthening the hydrological and ecological resilience of the DTA. Recommendations include increasing the proportion of ecohydrological structures, integrating geospatial-based site prioritization, and ensuring program continuity beyond 2025.

Abstract

This study analyzes the temporal trend and activity composition of vegetative forest and land rehabilitation (RHL) in the catchment area of Lake Limboto for 2021–2025. A quantitative descriptive approach was applied to secondary data from the BPDAS Bone Limboto 2025 database, strengthened with year-on-year change rates, the coefficient of variation, concentration ratios, and the Herfindahl-Hirschman index to assess the program portfolio structure. The total area of vegetative RHL over five years reached 693 ha, with an annual mean of 138.6 ha and a coefficient of variation of about 79.9%, indicating a dynamic, phase-based implementation rhythm. The highest achievement occurred in 2022 (340 ha; 49.06%), while the two leading years (2022–2023) accounted for 74.31% of the total. By composition, core RHL planting dominated (262 ha; 37.81%), followed by watershed rehabilitation (200 ha; 28.86%) and the Community Nursery/KBR (183 ha; 26.41%); these three pillars formed 93.07% of the portfolio, with an effective number of activities of 3.33. The annual composition revealed a tiered pattern from seedling provision toward larger-scale planting. Spatial interpretation of the activity map showed interventions concentrated on the buffer hill belts to the north, west, and south of the catchment, consistent with an upstream-priority logic. The findings emphasize that RHL evaluation should consider temporal continuity and compositional balance, not only area achievement.

Abstract

Government agencies' ownership of intangible assets increases each year in line with the expansion of digitization programs; however, this is not always accompanied by optimal management. Many intangible assets eventually fall into disuse—either because they are no longer relevant to the agency's needs or have been replaced by new systems—yet they remain recorded as assets in government financial statements. This issue has ultimately drawn the attention of the Supreme Audit Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK RI). During the 2014–2023 period, the BPK RI identified intangible assets that were no longer in use but were still recorded as current assets in the financial reports of ministries and agencies. Using content analysis, this article aims to describe issues in the management of intangible assets within the Indonesian government, with a focus on those no longer in use. The analysis results show that the BPK RI recommended that ministries and agencies write off these intangible assets because they are considered non-compliant with existing regulations, which stipulate that only intangible assets that are still in use may be recorded.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Interorganizational Relationship (IOR) strategy in the implementation of the Independent Learning (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka MBKM) policy at private universities (PTS) in Gorontalo Province, emphasizing the dimensions of coordination, cooperation, and collaboration between organizations. In the context of MBKM, interorganizational relationships are key to expanding resource access, strengthening curriculum relevance, and improving the quality of experiential learning. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method in several private universities that have implemented the MBKM program in Gorontalo. Informants were purposively selected from the leadership of private universities, LLDIKTI Region XVI, and APTISI Gorontalo Region, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies. The results show that coordination between private universities is facilitated by APTISI and LLDIKTI through meeting forums that regularly discuss MBKM implementation, so that communication flows and information exchange are relatively well established. However, substantive cooperation and collaboration between private universities in the form of student exchanges and lecturer teaching outside their home base have hardly materialized, although these two indicators have great potential for development based on the MBKM Key Performance Indicators. Field findings reveal that weak cooperation and collaboration are influenced by institutional egos, competitive tendencies in student recruitment, similar capacities and resources across private universities, and complex internal bureaucracy. This study confirms that the success of MBKM implementation in Gorontalo's private universities is largely determined by the institution's ability to build inter-organizational networks that are not only coordinative but also collaborative and mutually beneficial in a sustainable manner.
