Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology and access to information in the digital age has greatly impacted children, known as the digital native generation. While technology offers easy access to information and educational tools, it also presents risks such as internet addiction and exposure to harmful content. The family, especially parents, plays a crucial role in shaping children's character. Parents need to teach, guide, and protect children from the negative impacts of technology. This article delves into the concept of democratic parenting, which is considered effective in addressing these challenges. In this approach, there is an emphasis on two-way communication, allowing both parents and children to express their opinions. It focuses on setting realistic boundaries, balanced supervision, and responsible development of digital skills. This parenting style helps children learn to manage their screen time and develop healthy digital habits. Additionally, children are taught to think critically, respect diverse opinions, and become independent. Parents should familiarize themselves with their children's technology, set time limits for using digital devices, choose safe and educational content, and actively engage in their children's digital activities. With the right guidance, children can utilize technology for positive self-development, tackle technological challenges, and grow into responsible, critical, and adaptable individuals.

Abstract

This research examines how Korean pop culture, especially through the music group BTS, functions as a catalyst in influencing the religious attitudes and habits of their fans (Army) in Indonesia. Using a communication science framework, this research explores the process of intercultural communication that occurs through social media, as well as how the messages conveyed by BTS are constructed, disseminated, and interpreted by their fans. The research method used is a qualitative approach, involving in-depth interviews and participatory observation of members of the Lampung Army. Media content analysis was also carried out to understand the influence of BTS content on fans' religious attitudes and habits. The research results show that the influence of BTS and Korean pop culture creates a complex dynamic between the adoption of new cultural elements and the maintenance of existing religious values. The findings of this research provide insight into the role of communication in cultural acculturation and its impact on non-secular aspects of fans' lives, also contributing to the understanding of how media and intercultural communication can influence religious identity and practice in the era of digital globalization. These findings are important for cross-cultural studies, the sociology of religion, and communication science, and provide practical guidance for researchers and practitioners in the fields of communication and culture.

Abstract

This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of thematic clusters, research trends, potential research opportunities, and author collaborations within the field of renewable energy and its impact on economic growth, using bibliometric visualizations generated by VOSviewer. We identified distinct thematic areas including renewable technologies such as solar and wind energy, and broader themes like energy utilization and economic implications. Our trend analysis revealed a significant temporal shift from technology-centric studies to a broader examination of how renewable energy integrates with economic systems and impacts global economic policies. Further exploration of less explored areas suggested potential research opportunities in the direct economic impacts of renewable energy, its role in industrial processes, and sustainable tourism. The examination of author collaboration networks illuminated the collaborative structures within the academic community, highlighting the formation of research clusters based on shared interests and common research goals. These findings underscore the evolving nature of renewable energy research, revealing both current focuses and prospective areas for future investigation.

Abstract

This study utilizes VOSviewer, a tool for constructing and visualizing bibliometric networks, to analyze the landscape of research within ecotourism and community development. Through a series of visualizations, we identified thematic clusters that encapsulate key focus areas such as community development, conservation efforts, economic impacts, and the integration of local culture and wisdom into sustainable tourism strategies. Our analysis further reveals how research trends have evolved from foundational to more specialized topics, particularly noting a marked focus on marine ecotourism and capacity building in recent years. Additionally, author collaboration patterns were examined to identify both prominent partnerships and potential gaps in collaborative research. The visualizations also highlighted underexplored areas that present new research opportunities, particularly in assessing the economic implications of ecotourism and developing capacity-building strategies. This comprehensive examination not only maps the current state of the field but also points towards future directions for research and collaboration.

Abstract

This study employs bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer to map the landscape of health promotion research from 2004 to 2014. By analyzing research publications in this field, we identify thematic clusters, research trends, and emerging opportunities for future investigations. Our analysis reveals several thematic clusters central to health promotion, including health education, empowerment, community engagement, and the role of healthcare professionals. A temporal analysis of the research trends indicates a shift in focus from basic educational and community engagement strategies to more specialized areas, with a notable increase in research on mental health towards the end of the period studied. The examination of less illuminated areas within the network visualization highlights underexplored topics such as the roles of community pharmacists and integrative reviews, suggesting them as potential rich fields for future research. The study underscores the evolution of health promotion over the decade and points to new directions for comprehensive health strategies, aiming to bridge research gaps and foster interdisciplinary collaboration.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) at the Jakarta Islamic Hospital Sukapura Kelapa Gading in meeting government regulations and effluent quality standards. Using evaluation and observation methods, primary and secondary data were collected to analyze the condition of the WWTP, including wastewater quality based on regulated parameters. The results showed that although the WWTP utilizes an anaerobic-aerobic biofilter system, there are still problems in maintenance and inadequate containment capacity. This resulted in the inability of the WWTP to meet quality standards for parameters such as Total Coliform and E.coli. Recommendations for improvement include increasing storage capacity, improving equipment, and increasing maintenance frequency.
