Abstract

This study explores the Sufi values embedded in the characterization of the Pandowo Limo figures in Javanese wayang. The research aims to provide a deeper understanding of these figures so that society does not merely perceive them as entertainment but also as a source of guidance. Misinterpretations and alterations of the essence of the Pandowo Limo characters often occur, diminishing their intended philosophical and spiritual significance. This study employs a qualitative research approach using library research methods. Through this approach, the meanings and interpretations of wayang as established by the Wali Songo are aligned with Islamic theological teachings (aqidah) and Sharia principles in Java. The Wali Songo utilized wayang not only as a means of preserving Javanese culture but also as a medium to integrate Islamic beliefs into local traditions. By embedding Islamic values within wayang, they aimed to prevent misconceptions and ensure that the practice of Javanese culture remained in harmony with Islamic teachings.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the governance capacity of Oelomin Village as a development actor, focusing on both individual capacity and organizational capacity within the village government. The research involved 12 informants, utilizing data collection methods such as interviews, observations, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach. The findings indicate that the individual capacity of Oelomin Village government remains low. This is evident in the low level of education, as many officials have not pursued formal education. Additionally, no training programs have been provided for the village government apparatus. Communication within the government, as well as between the village government and the Village Consultative Body (BPD), is not yet fully effective. Collaboration in carrying out tasks and functions is also not optimal, both within the government and in cooperation between the government and the BPD. The organizational capacity of Oelomin Village government is also weak due to the low individual capacity. Although the village government structure follows the regulations set by the Kupang Regency Regional Regulation, it lacks clear task distribution for each division. The utilization of village assets to increase revenue has not been effectively implemented. Furthermore, the government's ability to establish partnerships with external parties remains limited. While some cooperation with NGOs has been established, most of the programs focus on non-physical development, such as educational outreach. The low individual and organizational capacity have resulted in suboptimal village development, preventing the community from fully benefiting from development initiatives.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly influenced public health, highlighting the importance of physical activity in maintaining immune system resilience. This study examines the relationship between physical activity levels and immune system resilience in post-pandemic populations using a qualitative approach, specifically a literature review and library research methodology. Various academic sources, including peer-reviewed journals, books, and health reports, were analyzed to explore how different intensities and frequencies of physical activity influence immune system function. The findings indicate that moderate-intensity physical activity enhances immune surveillance, reduces inflammation, and improves overall immune response. Conversely, sedentary behavior and excessive high-intensity exercise may compromise immune function, increasing susceptibility to infections. Furthermore, socio-demographic factors such as age, pre-existing health conditions, and lifestyle choices play a crucial role in determining the effectiveness of physical activity in supporting immune resilience. The study also highlights the need for public health strategies to promote regular physical activity as a preventive measure against immune dysfunction in post-pandemic societies. By synthesizing existing research, this study contributes to a better understanding of how physical activity can be effectively integrated into public health policies to enhance immune resilience. Future research should focus on longitudinal studies to assess the long-term effects of physical activity on immune health in diverse populations. This study underscores the critical role of maintaining an active lifestyle in strengthening immune defense mechanisms, particularly in the context of emerging infectious diseases.

Abstract

This study examines the concept of Law of Attraction (LoA) and its relationship with Islamic spirituality, focusing on the comparison of the basic principles of LoA and Islamic teachings in building a positive mindset, affirmation, visualization, and confidence in the desired results. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach through a literature review of the concept of LoA explained in the book The Secret by Rhonda Byrne and Quranic Law of Attraction by Rusdin S. Rauf. The analysis was carried out by comparing the principles of LoA with values in Islamic teachings, such as prayer, tawakkal, and gratitude. The results show that LoA and Islam have similarities in emphasizing the importance of positive thinking, focusing on goals, and affirmation and visualization as tools to strengthen beliefs. However, there are fundamental differences in the sources of power that are believed; LoA relies on the energy of the universe, while Islam affirms that everything happens by Allah's will. Therefore, the application of LoA for a Muslim must remain within the framework of the Islamic faith, without replacing belief in Allah with belief in the power of the mind alone. The principles of LoA can be applied in the life of a Muslim as long as it remains in harmony with the teachings of Islam, namely by understanding that human efforts must be accompanied by prayer and tawakkal to Allah. This study is expected to be a reference for the development of a more balanced understanding of LoA from an Islamic perspective. Further research is suggested to explore the application of this concept in practical aspects of life as well as how LoA can contribute to improving the motivation and spiritual well-being of Muslims.

Abstract

This study examines how Generation Z's purchasing decisions in Sidoarjo are influenced by online customer reviews and electronic service quality, with trust as a mediating variable. Focusing on Generation Z due to their significant population and high e-commerce activity, particularly on Lazada, the research employs a quantitative approach with purposive sampling. Data was collected from 200 respondents who had made purchases on Lazada within the last three months, using structured questionnaires and analyzed with SmartPLS 4.0.The findings reveal that electronic service quality does not directly affect purchasing decisions but significantly impacts trust, which in turn influences decisions. Conversely, online customer reviews positively and significantly affect purchasing decisions, both directly and indirectly through trust. This highlights trust's critical role as a mediator in e-commerce, where consumers rely on perceived reliability and validity. The study concludes that platforms like Lazada should prioritize improving electronic service quality and leveraging positive customer reviews to build trust and boost sales. It supports theories such as the Theory of Planned Behavior (Ajzen, 1985) and Mayer et al.s (1995) trust model, offering practical insights for e-commerce platforms to enhance user experience and attract younger consumers.

Abstract

Changes in the parliamentary threshold in the Indonesian election are a crucial issue in the democratic system that has implications for political representation, government stability, and electoral fairness. The Constitutional Court's Decision No.116/PUU-XXI/2023 confirms that the parliamentary threshold of 4% is not fully in line with the principles of people's sovereignty, electoral justice, and legal certainty guaranteed by the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and the values of Pancasila. This study aims to analyze the constitutional effectiveness of changes in parliamentary thresholds and their impact on the electoral system in Indonesia. The research method used is a normative-empirical approach by analyzing the constitutionality of the parliamentary threshold based on legal documents, Constitutional Court decisions, and related legal theories. The results of the study show that the removal of parliamentary thresholds has the potential to increase more proportional political representation, provide opportunities for small and new parties to participate in government, and enrich the diversity of votes in parliament. However, on the other hand, this policy also has the potential to cause political fragmentation that can affect the stability of the government and the effectiveness of legislative decision-making. Therefore, careful policy planning is needed so that these changes remain in line with the democratic principles of Pancasila and do not interfere with legal certainty in the Indonesian electoral system. It is hoped that this research can contribute to policymakers in drafting more inclusive and democratic regulations, while maintaining a balance between the diversity of political representation and the effectiveness of government.
