Abstract

The general view is that speaking in tongues will cease at Jesus' second coming as is the understanding of 1 Corinthians 13:8-12. This passage of Scripture is often used to disprove the fallacy of the Cessationist view that the gift of tongues has ceased since the Bible was written. The emphasis falls on the phrase "if the perfect arrives" which is read as referring to Jesus' return. The main argument in this paper is that verse 10 is not talking about the time of Jesus' second coming like verse 12, but rather talking about when God's perfect revelation arrives. God's perfect revelation is the Bible itself. Identifying the time frame between verses 10 and 12 is a leap of interpretation based on certain theological assumptions rather than objective facts in the text itself. Given the time frame distinction between verse 10 and verse 12, Cessationism's argument that speaking in tongues ceased after the Bible was written not only needs to be reconsidered, but also needs to be accepted as a valid and contextual interpretation of 1 Corinthians 13:812.

Abstract

Total Quality Management (TQM) provides a form of quality control for the Total Quality Management (TQM) provides a form of quality control for the services provided, including hemodialysis services, which are superior services at Bangkinang General Hospital. The problem is that there are indicators for the quality of hemodialysis services that do not reach a minimum service standard of 100% and the level of patient satisfaction is still low, namely 73.2%. The aim of the study was to analyze the implementation of Total Quality Management in improving the quality of hemodialysis services at Bangkinang General Hospital in 2023. This type of qualitative research uses a phenomenological approach. There were 11 informants, namely the director, chair of quality improvement and patient safety, chair of the nursing committee, head of the room, doctor in charge, executor, nurse, administration and patient. The triangulation used is source, method and data triangulation. The results showed that the inputs (human resources, financing, facilities and infrastructure, machines and SOPs) had not yet reached the minimum hospital service standards. The HD service process is based on 10 long-term TQM elements, teamwork, continuous system improvement, education or training, controlled freedom, unity of purpose, employee involvement and empowerment) and the output does not yet meet service quality patient safety, efficient, effectiveness, timelines, patient centered and equity. The main obstacles to improving the quality of HD services are budget constraints for procuring training, facilities and infrastructure and the low compliance of staff in implementing a culture of quality and patient safety. Bangkinang Hospital can use the Value Stream Mapping method for budget control, Failure Mode Effect Analysis to analyze problems in HD services, conduct Public Private Partnerships through operational cooperation to add HD machines, Contracting-out with training institutions and private companies in procuring and funding HD training and others. Re-socialization of universal precautions and patient safety to officers in the hemodialysis room

Abstract

Water is one of the most important natural resources for all living organisms including humans for drinking, food production, domestic purposes, and other development. Water also has a negative side, in that it can transmit infectious diseases, which are caused by the infiltration of pathogenic bacteria. This study aimed to analyze groundwater pollution based on Total Coliform and E. Coli, analyze the impact of Total Coliform and E. Coli on the health of cattle breeders, and formulate strategies to reduce groundwater pollution caused by Coliform and E. Coli. This research uses field studies which include field observations, sampling, laboratory analysis, interviews, and documentation. The research location is in Jetis District, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta and there are six sample points with 24 groundwater samples. Sampling of water for bacteriological tests uses the instantaneous water sampling method (grab sampling). Based on the results of laboratory analysis, it is known that the content of Total Coliform and E.coli at a distance of 10 meters has exceeded the quality standard, but at point 5 with the sample code T5K it still meets the Total Coliform quality standard. At a distance of 10 meters, it is known that four points pass the Total Coliform quality standard threshold and all points pass the E. coli quality standard threshold. The impact of groundwater pollution due to Coliform and E.coli bacteria on public health is known to be 78.5% or from 14 respondents 11 respondents experienced diarrhea. The recommended strategy is a defensive strategy or defense by minimizing weaknesses and preventing threats.

Abstract

This study presents a literature review on the analysis of stock market volatility during the global financial crisis. The global financial crisis in 2008 was one of the most significant events in modern financial history that had a major impact on stock markets around the world. The main objective of this study is to summarize the main findings in the literature related to stock market volatility during the global financial crisis, as well as to present a deeper understanding of the factors that influence stock market volatility in the context of financial crises. In this literature analysis, we explore various theories and models used to understand stock market volatility, including ARCH/GARCH models, market efficiency, behavioral finance theory, and behavioral economics theory. We also explore literature that examines the impact of macroeconomic factors, monetary policy, investor sentiment, and other factors on stock market volatility during the global financial crisis. The results show that the global financial crisis had a significant impact on stock market volatility, with significant spikes in volatility during the period. Factors such as economic uncertainty, changes in monetary policy, and negative investor sentiment all contributed to the increase in stock market volatility. In addition, the research also highlights the importance of the interaction between micro and macroeconomic factors in shaping stock market volatility during the global financial crisis. This research provides valuable insights into the complexity of stock market volatility during the global financial crisis and provides a foundation for further research in understanding market dynamics during similar periods of financial crisis in the future. With a better understanding of the factors that influence stock market volatility, investors and policymakers can take better measures in managing risk and maintaining financial market stability.
