Abstract

Background. In foreign policy, geostrategies are employed to help a nation overcome international obstacles and uphold its objectives. Research Purpose. This research examines geostrategy for a country’s international policy. Research Method. This study uses a literature study method with a qualitative-descriptive approach. The study focuses on how nations develop their geostrategies, the internal and external variables that affect foreign policy, and the intimate connection between geopolitical strategies and state goals in terms of social, political, economic, and security. Findings. Reasonable and adaptable geostrategic tactics enable a country to respond effectively to global dynamics, whether political, economic, or security. With a flexible and realistic strategy, a country can strengthen its bargaining position on the international stage, build mutually beneficial cooperation, and minimize the potential for conflict. Ultimately, the implementation of adaptive geostrategy plays a crucial role in maintaining national stability while promoting prosperity and sustainable development. Conclusion. It is envisaged that this research would aid in our comprehension of geostrategy dynamics and provide a useful framework for international policy-making.

Abstract

Background. A geographical approach is important to comprehensively understand the relationship between the physical conditions of an area and flash floods. One of the most devastating hydrometeorological disasters, flash floods frequently result in large losses in terms of fatalities, damage to infrastructure, and socioeconomic effects. Research Purpose. To identify the causes of flash floods from a geographic perspective. Research Method. This study employs a qualitative-descriptive literature review method to analyze and synthesize scientific sources related to the causes of flash floods from a geographical perspective. Utilizing secondary data from various journals, textbooks, official reports, and research publications, the study focuses on relevant keywords such as flash floods, topography, and geomorphology for data collection. The analysis follows three main stages: 1) data reduction of information directly linked to geographical causes, 2) thematic classification based on topography, hydrology, geomorphology, and land use, and 3) synthesis and interpretation to identify patterns and relationships among the geographical factors contributing to flash floods. Findings. Geographically speaking, steep topography, the region's geomorphological features, heavy rainfall, and changes in land use all have a significant impact on the causes of flash floods. Conclusion. Understanding and lowering the risk of flash floods through sustainable environmental management and spatial planning requires the integration of geographical analysis.

Abstract

Background. In Indonesia, the rapid growth of internet access and social media, with around 77% of the population online by 2022, has coincided with a decline in human values. A 2021 report documented over 1,000 instances of negative content on social media, revealing issues of discrimination and violence amidst technological progress. This evolution in communication has fostered influencer marketing, significantly shaping public opinion and behavior. Research Purpose. To analyze the moral crisis of influencers and viral contents that is not education-based on Pancasila, the second principle. Research Method. This study utilizes a qualitative-systematic literature review to evaluate the influence of social media influencers on public opinion in Indonesia. It involves a systematic search of databases like Google Scholar and Science Direct for literature from 2019 to 2024, ensuring relevance in the rapidly changing social media landscape. The research incorporates keywords such as "Indonesian social media influencers," "digital public opinion formation," and "social media influence." Additionally, it includes qualitative interviews with 10 respondents, applying descriptive and thematic analysis. Findings. 90% of participants have experienced hate speech, only 10% indicating they have not. Key contributing factors include internal influences like psychological conditions and personal biases, along with external influences such as primordialism, ethnocentrism, and inadequate understanding of Pancasila. Conclusion. The moral crisis among Indonesia's youth is influenced by social media and viral content. Influencers significantly shape adolescent behavior and public opinion, with irresponsible content. The issue is worsened by inadequate digital literacy and ethics, facilitating the widespread acceptance of harmful content.

Abstract

Background. Entering 2026, Indonesia’s economy faces a complex global environment characterized by geopolitical uncertainty, fluctuating commodity prices, and the tightening of monetary policies in advanced economies. These external pressures pose significant challenges for developing countries, including Indonesia. Nevertheless, Indonesia demonstrates a relatively optimistic economic outlook, supported by stable macroeconomic conditions, controlled inflation, and the continuity of structural reforms implemented in recent years. Research Purpose. This study aims to examine the optimism surrounding Indonesia’s economy in 2026 by analyzing both the challenges and opportunities that shape national economic performance. Research Method. This study used a qualitative approach with a library research method. The analysis highlights several key drivers of economic optimism, including prudent fiscal policy, adaptive monetary measures, industrial downstreaming, increased investment, and the rapid growth of the digital economy. Findings. In addition, Indonesia’s demographic bonus and commitment to sustainable development through green and blue economy initiatives provide strategic opportunities to enhance productivity and long-term economic growth. However, this optimism must be balanced with a realistic assessment of existing challenges. Structural issues such as regional development disparities, uneven quality of human resources, reliance on primary commodities, and vulnerability to global financial volatility remain critical concerns. These challenges require comprehensive and integrated policy responses to ensure that economic growth is not only robust but also inclusive and sustainable. Conclusion. Indonesia’s economic optimism in 2026 depends on the government’s ability to address structural constraints and effectively capitalize on emerging opportunities.
