Abstract

The global environmental crisis, the overexploitation of natural resources (SDA), and the inequality of wealth distribution are major challenges in contemporary economic governance. Various natural resource management models sourced from the capitalistic paradigm are considered not fully able to answer the issues of sustainability and justice. Islam as a holistic value system offers natural resource economics principles based on justice, responsibility, and ecological balance. This research aims to analyze global trends and projections on natural resource management and examine how Islamic economic principles can be integrated in dealing with these dynamics. Through a qualitative approach with a literature study method, this study explores classical and contemporary literature related to natural resource economics in Islam, global trends such as green economy and ESG, and challenges faced by Muslim countries in natural resource governance. The results of the study show that Islamic values such as amanah, milkiyyah 'ammah, israf prohibition, and sharia maqashid are very relevant to the direction of global policies that prioritize sustainability and social justice. Islam not only provides normative solutions, but also provides a regulatory and operational framework for sustainable natural resource management. The novelty of this study lies in the synthesis between Islamic economic principles and global trends in natural resource management which have rarely been comprehensively discussed in previous academic studies. This research also confirms that Islamic economics has great potential to become a strategic alternative in global natural resource governance through the integration of spiritual values, environmental ethics, and applicable social responsibility. These findings are expected to enrich the scientific discourse and become the basis for more equitable and sustainable policy formulation, especially in countries with Muslim majority populations.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the concept of change management and innovation within the context of increasingly dynamic modern organizations. Change management is a systematic approach designed to handle the process of transitions or transformations that occur within organizations, whether structural, technological, or cultural. On the other hand, innovation involves the development of new and creative ideas that can be implemented to enhance performance, productivity, and create added value for the organization. This research employs a qualitative method with a literature review approach, gathering and analyzing information from various sources relevant to the topics of change management and innovation. The analysis focuses on identifying the symbiotic relationship between the implementation of change management and innovation, and how both influence organizational success in responding to rapid external environmental changes. The results indicate that organizations that effectively implement change management are better equipped to foster internal innovation, ultimately enhancing competitiveness, sustainability, and adaptability to ever-changing market demands. This article provides valuable insights for organizations seeking to strengthen their capacity to manage change and design innovation as a key strategy for long-term growth.

Abstract

Zakat is one of the important instruments in the Islamic economic system that has a social and economic function in realizing fair distribution and community welfare. In the midst of increasing poverty and income inequality, especially in developing countries such as Indonesia, optimizing the role of zakat is very relevant and urgent. This study aims to examine the extent to which zakat plays an effective instrument in alleviating poverty and reducing income gaps, as well as how the zakat management mechanism can be improved to be more productive and have a long-term impact. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with interview, observation, and documentation methods of zakat institutions, mustahik, and Islamic economic experts. The results of the study show that productive zakat, if managed in a targeted and accountable manner, can encourage the empowerment of mustahik economies and increase their income significantly. In addition, zakat is also able to reduce the accumulation of wealth in the hands of a few people and create a fairer distribution of income. The main obstacles lie in weak governance, lack of zakat literacy, and the lack of a national integration system based on mustahik and muzakki data. The novelty of this research lies in the integrative approach of zakat as an alternative economic policy that is not only spiritually based, but also able to synergize with national development strategies in overcoming poverty and inequality. With modern and transparent zakat management, zakat has the potential to become an applicable Islamic economic solution.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of organizational culture in the management of da'wah that can enhance community participation in Lau Dendang Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive design, data was collected through interviews and direct observations of various parties involved in da'wah activities, including mosque administrators, community leaders, and community members. Data analysis was conducted by identifying patterns and relevant themes from the narrative information and official documents obtained. The results of the study indicate that the applied organizational culture, such as values of togetherness and collaboration, plays a crucial role in improving community participation. This culture fosters a sense of ownership of the da'wah programs and strengthens social solidarity. However, there are also challenges faced, such as a lack of awareness and active participation from some community members, as well as resource limitations. These findings are expected to provide insights for da'wah managers and the community to optimize participation in da'wah activities in the village.

Abstract

Waqf is one of the sharia financial instruments that has great potential in supporting the social and economic development of Muslims in a sustainable manner. This research aims to explore the strategic role of waqf in strengthening the welfare of the people through the provision of public services, poverty reduction, and community economic empowerment. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and literature study, this study analyzes various literature and scientific journals related to waqf management, both traditional and modern. The results of the study show that waqf not only functions as a charity of worship, but also as a mechanism for fair and sustainable distribution of wealth. In practice, waqf is able to finance the education, health, and infrastructure sectors, while supporting productive economic sectors that create jobs and increase people's income. However, optimizing the role of waqf still faces various challenges, such as weak governance, low public literacy, and lack of synergy between regulators and waqf management institutions. Therefore, reform of waqf management based on technology and the principles of good governance is a necessity. This study concludes that waqf can be the main pillar in the development of Muslims if it is managed professionally, transparently, and collaboratively. The novelty of this research lies in the integrative approach between the social and economic functions of waqf which is comprehensively studied, by emphasizing the importance of information technology-based management and modern governance in facing the challenges of contemporary Muslim development.

Abstract

The economic disparity of Muslims is a crucial issue that is increasingly emerging in the era of globalization. Globalization on the one hand opens up opportunities for market access, investment, and technology for Muslim countries, but on the other hand deepens social inequality and dependence on the capitalistic economic system that is contrary to Islamic values. This research aims to analyze the challenges of globalization on the economy of Muslims and explore solutions based on sharia economics that can be implemented in an applicative and sustainable manner. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with literature study techniques, this study examines various relevant scientific sources to identify the root of the problem and formulate a solution strategy that is in accordance with sharia principles. The results of the study show that the economic inequality of the people is influenced by the weak Islamic financial literacy, the lack of optimal management of zakat and waqf, and the lack of regulatory support and technological innovation in the Islamic economic ecosystem. Instruments such as zakat, infaq, alms, and waqf have great potential as a mechanism for wealth redistribution, while digitalization and integration of sharia technology play a role in expanding financial inclusion. This study recommends the need for synergy between government stakeholders, Islamic financial institutions, educational institutions, and the community as well as strengthening affirmative policies and Islamic economic education to address systemic disparities. This research makes an academic and practical contribution in strengthening the sharia economy as a just, inclusive, and sustainable alternative solution in the midst of globalization challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of social pressure on decision-making processes in the workplace, examining how pressures from supervisors, coworkers, and organizational culture affect individuals' decision-making behavior. The research adopts a library research method with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data is collected from various literature sources, such as books, articles, journals, and documents related to social pressure and its impact on decision-making in the workplace. Content analysis is used to interpret and evaluate the gathered data. The study identifies several forms of social pressure in the workplace, including obedience pressure from supervisors, peer pressure from coworkers, and the pressure to conform to organizational norms. These pressures can impact decision-making by encouraging individuals to prioritize social harmony over objective analysis. While social pressure can motivate collaboration, excessive pressure can negatively affect decision quality and contribute to stress and burnout. The study also highlights the need for organizations to create supportive environments that promote healthier decision-making processes.

Abstract

Digital transformation has fundamentally changed organizational dynamics, demanding an adaptive, efficient, and valuable coordination model. In the context of Islamic organizations, the need for coordination is not only technical, but also spiritual. This research aims to examine how the culture of Islamic coordination is built and implemented in organizations in the digital era and how it affects the improvement of organizational performance. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies at a number of Islamic-based institutions that have integrated Islamic values in digitization practices. The results of the study show that the integration of Islamic values such as ta'awun (cooperation), amanah (trust), shiddiq (honesty), and ihsan (excellence) in the organization's digital system is able to form a harmonious, collaborative, and productive work culture. The use of technology such as cloud systems, digital communication platforms, and work management applications strengthens the coordination process while maintaining accountability according to the principle of hishbah. The Islamic culture of coordination also increases loyalty and job satisfaction, strengthens participatory leadership, and forms a balanced work system between the mundane and ukhrawi. This research confirms that building a culture of Islamic coordination in the digital era not only supports organizational effectiveness, but is also a superior strategy to maintain integrity, strengthen identity, and increase competitiveness. Thus, this approach is worthy of being used as a model for Islamic organizations in facing global challenges based on values and technology.
