Abstract

The objective of this research was to find out the significant correlation and the influence of their language learning strategies and speaking achievement. This study used quantitative research with a correlation design. The population of this research was 30 students of the eighth grade students of Junior High Schools in Palembang. In this study, the participants were selected using a purposeful random sampling technique. In collecting the data, the researcher used a questionnaire and a speaking test. students’ speaking achievement was scored in terms of the six subskills of grammar, vocabulary, fluency, pronunciation, comprehension, and task. Furthermore, Strategy Inventory for Language Learning (SILL) questionnaire was used to determine students' language learning strategies. Pearson Product-Moment was used to find out the correlation between variables. The result showed that there was a significant correlation between cognitive and speaking achievement with r= (.402) higher than r-table (.361) and the level of probability (p) significance was (.028) which was lower than 0.05. It means that Hα₂ was accepted and H₀₁ was rejected. In this research, language learning strategies gave a 16,8 % contribution to speaking achievement. While a significant correlation between social-affective and speaking achievement with r= (.385) which was higher than r-table (.361) and level of probability (p) significance was (.036) which was lower than 0.05. Meanwhile, social strategies contribute to speaking achievement in 14,8 %. Keywords: Language Learning Strategies, Speaking Achievement

Abstract

The curriculum, a set of plans and arrangements for learning outcomes, study materials, processes, and assessments, serves as a guide for implementing study programs.  The Outcome Based Education (OBE) curriculum has been adopted at the higher education level to keep pace with rapid technological developments. Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) are designed to articulate learning objectives into measurable and assessable statements using OBE principles. The results of PLO evaluations can be used to enhance PLO standards or quality performance and for accreditation purposes. Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta has implemented the OBE curriculum in study programs in a significant stride towards international accreditation. This research, conducted using a quantitative research method, aims to analyze the achievement of the PLOs established by the Bachelor of Mathematics Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology, Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta. The research method involves measuring the achievement of PLOs by analyzing student grades and providing a comprehensive and objective assessment of the PLOs established by the Bachelor of Mathematics Program. The achievement of PLOs in the Bachelor of Mathematics  Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology, Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta, is a significant 85.11%.

Abstract

This research aims to develop supplementary geography teaching materials based on Longalo natural tourism to increase understanding of inland water material among high school students. The ADDIE development model is used in developing this teaching material, which involves the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research results show that the developed supplement book received a decent assessment from geography experts and teachers. The integration of Longalo natural tourism in learning materials enriches students' learning experiences and activates local potential as a valuable learning resource, per the concept of locally based education. These findings are essential to developing relevant geography teaching materials oriented toward using local resources to support environmental sustainability

Abstract

The objectives of this study are 1) To describe teachers' competence in making digital literacy teaching modules before the workshop at SMPN 24 Bengkulu Tengah. 2) Developing alternatives for making digital literacy teaching modules to improve teacher competence through workshops at SMPN 24 Bengkulu Tengah. 3) Proving that teachers' digital literacy teaching modules can be improved through workshops at SMPN 24 Central Bengkulu. This research used qualitative research procedures. The test was conducted in at least three cycles, which included planning activities (plan), implementation (act), observation (observe) and reflection (reflect). The subjects in this study were all teachers of SMPN 24 Central Bengkulu. The data analysis technique used qualitatively in this study was carried out by interpreting the data on the results of observations made during the coaching process, as well as the achievement of success indicators from the workshop results of each cycle. the conclusions of this study are as follows: 1) The description of the ability of teachers in making digital literacy teaching modules, the majority of teachers at SMPN 24 Bengkulu Tengah have a less than optimal level of ability. This shows the need for further efforts in training and mentoring teachers in improving their ability to make digital literacy teaching materials. 2) Efforts to improve teacher competence in making digital literacy teaching modules at SMPN 24 Bengkulu Tengah are carried out through workshops. 3) Making digital literacy teaching modules through workshops is successful in improving teacher competence in making teaching modules for teachers at SMPN 24 Bengkulu Tengah. This is indicated by the score of the observation of teachers which continues to increase from cycle 1 to cycle 3. In cycle 1 the score obtained was 178 points or 70.63%, then increased in cycle 2 to 212 points or 84.12%, and the maximum score achievement was 240 points or 95.23% which occurred in cycle 3.

Abstract

The development of laboratory guide modules represents a strategic step in enhancing the quality of learning in physics education, particularly in electronics courses. This study aims to analyze students' responses to the development of modules based on a collaborative learning approach. Using a survey method involving 29 Physics Education students at Universitas Bengkulu, the results reveal that the developed module demonstrates advantages in terms of structure, language clarity, theoretical relevance, and the effectiveness of visual media. Additionally, the module is deemed capable of improving critical thinking skills, and problem-solving abilities, supporting the achievement of learning outcomes aligned with the syllabus. The average student response score falls into the "Very Strong" category, indicating positive reception of the module. Therefore, the development of innovative laboratory guide modules based on collaborative learning can be recommended to enhance the effectiveness of practical learning in electronics.
