Abstract

Arabic, as one of the international languages ​​and the main religious language in the Islamic world, requires good mastery to be able to be used actively in various situations, both in social, academic and professional contexts. This study aims to determine the impact of the Arabic language program on the communication skills of children at the Dato' Rahmat Dasan Baru Bengkel Child Welfare Institution (LKSA), as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors in the program's implementation. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the Arabic language program can increase children's confidence in communicating, strengthen religious understanding, and encourage them to be more active. Supporting factors for the program's success include the children's enthusiasm, teacher commitment, and internal support from the institution. Inhibiting factors include limited facilities and infrastructure, limited learning time, and minimal parental involvement. In conclusion, the Arabic language program at LKSA Dato' Rahmat plays an important role in training children's communication skills effectively.

Abstract

Religious education is a fundamental aspect in shaping a child's character and morals. In this context, parents play a crucial role as their children's first and primary educators. This study aims to examine the role of parents in religious education at home and its influence on children's behavior in Pemongkong Village, Jerowaru District. The background of this research is based on the importance of the family as the first and foremost educational environment in shaping children's religious character. Parents are not only caretakers but also spiritual educators through example, habituation, and supervision. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational method. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and observations involving 30 parents and 30 children selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using Pearson correlation via SPSS software, supported by qualitative data for deeper interpretation. The results show that the role of parents in religious education is categorized as high, and children’s behavior is generally good. The correlation analysis revealed a positive and significant relationship between the role of parents and children's behavior, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.701 and a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.05). These findings are supported by interview and observation data indicating that religious habituation, communication, and parental modeling strongly influence children’s daily attitudes and behaviors. In conclusion, the role of parents in providing religious education at home significantly influences the formation of children's behavior. This study emphasizes the importance of active parental involvement in instilling Islamic values in children from an early age.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (Pondok Pesantren) are a type of Islamic educational institution that is unique to Indonesia. The term "Pondok Pesantren" is unique to Indonesia and not found in other Islamic countries. This study aims to explore how the boarding school system at Pondok Pesantren Hasan Al-Mahsyat Nahdatul Wathon Gunung Sesang Terara contributes to the development of students' character and morality (akhlak). The research focuses on three main questions: (1) how the boarding school system is implemented to enhance moral education, (2) how parents respond to the program, and (3) what impact it has on students’ character. A qualitative approach was used, employing interviews, observation, and documentation as data collection techniques. The findings indicate that the boarding school system significantly contributes to the moral development of students. This is reflected in six key points: parents’ motivation for choosing Islamic boarding school education, the effectiveness of religious practices and daily routines in instilling discipline and responsibility, positive behavioral changes in students, challenges such as differences in students’ backgrounds and the influence of social media, the exemplary role of teachers and caregivers, and expectations for system development that includes spiritual, life skills, and family collaboration aspects. These findings affirm that the boarding school system in pesantren can serve as a holistic and sustainable model for character education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the principal’s academic supervision and its influence on teachers’ lesson planning, instructional practices, and learning evaluation at SDN 101768 Tembung. The background of the study is rooted in the importance of academic supervision as a professional development process that ensures the quality of learning in elementary schools. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through semi-structured interviews with teachers who provided comprehensive information regarding the principal’s supervisory practices and the school’s management of teaching and learning.The findings reveal that teachers are actively involved in lesson planning, including the preparation of teaching modules, learning media, and instructional plans, all of which are directly supervised by the principal. Academic supervision is carried out routinely every month through the review of instructional documents and the provision of feedback to teachers. This supervision has a positive impact, including increased motivation, pedagogical skills, and teacher discipline in classroom instruction.Furthermore, learning evaluation is conducted systematically through the development of assessment instruments that are monitored by both the principal and school supervisors, ensuring that the evaluation process is more objective and aligned with established standards. The main challenge identified is the scheduling of supervision activities due to the heavy workload of both the principal and teachers, although this constraint does not diminish the school’s commitment to continuous professional guidance.

Abstract

The Role of the School Committee as a Mediator in Improving the Quality of Education at SDN 5 Pandan Wangi This study aims to understand the role of the school committee as a mediator between parents and the school in improving the quality of education at SDN 5 Pandan Wangi. A qualitative approach with a case study method was chosen to explore in depth the dynamics of interaction and influence of the school committee in the specific context of the school. This study is expected to provide recommendations for SDN 5 Pandan Wangi to improve the role of the school committee in improving the quality of education, as well as provide a better understanding of the role and function of the school committee for parents and the school. In addition, this study is expected to contribute to the development of knowledge about the role of the school committee in improving the quality of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the principal's leadership style on improving teacher performance at MA NW Tampih. The approach used is descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the principal applies a participatory and transformational leadership style that involves teachers in the decision-making process, program evaluation, and development of learning strategies. This leadership style has a positive effect on teacher performance, characterized by increased motivation, discipline, active participation, and innovation in the learning process. Teachers feel valued, trusted, and supported to develop professionally, which ultimately has an impact on improving the quality of education. These findings indicate that collaborative and communicative leadership is key to creating a productive work environment oriented towards improving performance.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the strategies of madrasah principals in managing conflicts between teachers and students in the madrasah environment. Conflict between teachers and students is a normal thing and often occurs due to differences in communication and expectations. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. with the formulation of the problem what are the strategies of madrasah principals in managing internal conflicts and what forms of conflict occur between teachers and students. The subjects of this study were the madrasah principal, the vice principal of student affairs, students, and several subject teachers. The results of the study show that the madrasah principal applies several strategies in managing conflicts, including an open communication approach, mediation between disputing parties, instilling the values ​​of discipline and empathy, and continuous coaching. These strategies have proven effective in creating a conducive madrasah learning atmosphere and strengthening relationships between madrasah residents. This study concludes that the madrasah principal's strategy in resolving existing conflicts is through collaboration, accommodation, and compromise methods. By identifying problems, gathering the parties involved and solving existing problems through mutual deliberation. So that it produces a solution for all parties.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of the principal's supervision in improving the quality of learning at MA NW Pengkelak Mas. The focus of this study is to determine the form of supervision carried out by the principal and its impact on learning activities. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the principal plays an active role in implementing supervision through classroom supervision, evaluation of learning tools, and professional development of teachers. This supervision has a positive impact on increasing teacher discipline, orderly learning administration, and the development of a variety of learning methods and strategies applied by teachers. In addition, communicative and fostering supervision helps create a harmonious working relationship between the principal and teachers. Thus, supervision that is carried out routinely, directed, and sustainable makes a real contribution to improving the quality of learning at MA NW Pengkelak Mas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the implementation of School-Based Management carried out by madrasahs in improving the quality of education at MTs Darul Aitam Jerowau. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that MTs Darul Aitam Jerowaru has implemented School-Based Management systematically. School-Based Management is carried out in the form of granting authority to school organizations to carry out their duties and functions properly. So that it can improve the quality of education. The implementation of School-Based Management has contributed positively to improving the quality of education. Although there are several obstacles such as facilities and infrastructure, the madrasah continues to strive to overcome these obstacles through good management. Thus, school-based management carried out in madrasahs has proven effective in supporting the quality of education at MTs Darul Aitam Jerowau.

Abstract

The existence of a village library plays a very important role for the community, because with the existence of a library it can support the community in obtaining information and increase the existence of the village in introducing the existence and progress of the village. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of the library as a center for community learning resources and to determine strategic management in managing the Montong Beter village library. This type of research is qualitative research. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, documentation. Data analysis techniques use descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that the library has a very important role as a center for community learning resources. The strategic management in managing the Montong Beter village library is carried out in various ways including involving the community in various activities related to the library, holding mobile libraries to educational institutions and integrated health posts (posyandu) and collaborating with various parties as a partnership.
