Al-Gafari:  Jurnal Manajemen dan Pendidikan (eISSN: 3021-8446), is an interdisciplinary publication of original research and writing on education. Abstract

This study aims to describe the educational model at the Darussalam Al-Amin Makassar Islamic Boarding School and assess its role and management in supporting religious education for students. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, data is obtained through observation and in-depth interviews with pesantren managers. The results of the study show that the Darussalam Al-Amin Islamic Boarding School integrates the traditional curriculum, such as the teaching of the yellow book, with modern methods that encourage the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor skills of students. The organizational structure led by Kyai H. Faiz emphasizes leadership based on Islamic values, while the flagship learning program includes tahfidz Al-Qur'an and fiqh education. In addition, Islamic boarding schools provide counseling services for students and involve parents in the educational process, so that holistic support is created in the development of students' character and skills. The Darussalam Al-Amin Islamic Boarding School is one example of non-formal education in the category of boarding boarding schools. Darussalam Al-Amin Islamic Boarding School plays a significant role in the non-formal education system in Indonesia, with a comprehensive approach that integrates religious teaching through the yellow books and various other disciplines.

Abstract

Hubungan masyarakat (Humas) merupakan komponen esensial dalam komunikasi strategis yang menghubungkan institusi dengan publiknya, bertujuan membangun pemahaman dan kepercayaan melalui komunikasi dua arah. Dalam konteks Lembaga pendidikan, Humas berfungsi sebagai penghubung antara sekolah dan masyarakat, memperkenalkan program unggulan, serta memperkuat citra positif institusi di mata publik. Metode penelitian ini mencakup studi literatur terkait peran dan strategi Humas dalam lembaga pendidikan serta analisis terhadap dampak Humas dalam membangun kemitraan yang saling menguntungkan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa Humas berperan sebagai communicator, relationship builder, dan good image maker yang mendukung manajemen melalui komunikasi efektif dan evaluasi program kehumasan. Dalam membangun kemitraan, diperlukan perencanaan strategis, pelaksanaan komunikasi yang konsisten, serta evaluasi berbasis data untuk menilai keberhasilan dalam membentuk opini publik positif. Simpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa Humas di lembaga pendidikan berperan penting dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi masyarakat, mendukung kualitas pendidikan, dan membangun sinergi dengan pemangku kepentingan melalui komunikasi yang terstruktur dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The integration of Aqidah (Islamic creed) and English language education presents both opportunities and challenges in contemporary schooling. While globalization demands proficiency in English, it is crucial that Islamic values are preserved in the educational process. This research aims to explore the potential of combining Aqidah and English language teaching in order to create a comprehensive approach that nurtures both faith and linguistic skills in students. The study employs a qualitative research design, utilizing interviews and surveys with educators and students from Islamic schools. Data were collected through open-ended questions, and thematic analysis was applied to identify emerging trends. The findings indicate that integrating Aqidah with English language learning provides a holistic approach to education, enhancing students' understanding of both religious principles and language skills. However, challenges such as a lack of relevant teaching materials and insufficient teacher training were noted. This study concludes that a strategic approach to curriculum development, teacher training, and resource integration is essential for the successful implementation of this collaborative model. It is recommended that future research further investigates the practical applications and long-term effects of this integration on student performance and character development.

Abstract

Technology integration in education management has become a crucial aspect in efforts to improve the quality of education in the digital era. This article examines the opportunities and challenges faced in the application of technology in education management. The main opportunities that arise include increasing administrative efficiency, easier access to information, and developing more interactive and adaptive technology-based learning. On the other hand, the challenges faced include gaps in access to technology, lack of training for educators, and organizational cultural barriers in technology adoption. This study aims to provide insights for education stakeholders in formulating effective strategies to utilize technology, while addressing existing challenges. With the right approach, technology integration can be a catalyst for improving the quality of education that is more inclusive and globally competitive.

Abstract

This research explores the importance of transparency and accountability in school financial management, especially in fund management. In the educational context, effective financial management not only ensures the continuity of school operations, but also influences the quality of education provided to students. This study uses a qualitative approach with case study methods in several schools that have implemented transparent and accountable financial management. The research results show that disclosure of financial information to all stakeholders, including parents and the community, is very important in building trust and active participation. In addition, accountability in managing school funds is achieved through clear reporting mechanisms, internal and external audits, and the involvement of the school finance committee in decision making. These findings confirm that transparency and accountability are not just administrative requirements, but are also the foundation for effective and efficient financial management. With transparency, schools can avoid misuse of funds and improve the quality of educational services. The conclusion of this article recommends implementing policies that support transparency and accountability in school financial management to achieve better educational goals.

Abstract

To improve the quality of learning in Indonesia, especially at the junior high school (SMP) level, educational transformation is an important process. The "Activator School" is one model used to achieve this goal. This program aims to improve the quality of learning through strengthening the curriculum, increasing teacher capabilities, and using technology in the learning process. In an effort to improve the quality of learning, this research investigates the implementation of the Driving School model at Telkom Makassar Middle School. To collect data, a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis was used. Observations, interviews and documentation are also used. The research results show that the implementation of the Driving School model at Telkom Makassar Middle School has improved the quality of learning, especially in terms of technology-based learning, increasing teacher capabilities, and increasing student participation. Despite this, there are still problems implementing it. These include limited resources and facilities, as well as the need for ongoing training for teachers. In short, the Driving School model at Telkom Makassar Middle School can be considered an example of success in educational transformation that focuses on improving the quality of learning.

Abstract

Teachers are required to be able to understand, master, and be able to use the available tools in an effort to achieve the expected teaching objectives. For that, teachers must have sufficient knowledge and understanding of learning media. This study aims to determine the effect of computer animation learning media on the learning outcomes of class XI students of SMAN 1 Keruak. This study was conducted at SMAN 1 Keruak. The research method used was a quasi-experimental study, involving 58 students of class XI IPS2 and XI IPS3 which were determined by cluster random sampling technique. Class XI IPS2 as the experimental class and XI IPS3 as the control class. The design of this study was a "nonequvalent control group design". The instrument in this study was a learning outcome test. Data were analyzed by t-test. Based on the results of data analysis, the learning outcomes of students in the experimental group were higher (mean 73.84, median 77.49, mode 90.5) than the control group (mean 67.57, median 71.5, mode 73.17) and from the results of the "t" test calculation, the tcount value was 2.15 while the ttable was 2.033 at a significant level of 0.05 or tcount>ttable or (2.15>2.033). So it can be concluded to reject Ho and accept Ha which states that there is a positive and significant influence of the use of computer animation learning media on the economic learning outcomes of class XI students of SMAN 1 Keruak. This shows that learning with computer animation learning media has a positive or significant influence on students' economic learning outcomes.

Abstract

Teachers are educational staff who greatly determine the learning process in schools. Teachers are one of the human components in the teaching and learning process, which plays a role in the effort to form potential human resources in the field of development. This study was conducted with the aim of: 1) to find out how the strategies and roles of teachers in improving the learning motivation of low-ability students in class III MI Birrul Walidain NW 2 Rensing, and 2) to find out what are the factors that cause the lack of learning motivation of students in class III MI Birrul Walidain NW 2 Rensing. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research, which aims to describe existing phenomena, both scientific phenomena and man-made phenomena can be in the form of activities, characteristics, changes, relationships, similarities and differences between one phenomenon and another. The methods used in this study are observation, interview and documentation methods. The results of this study are that: The learning motivation of students in class III, MI Birrul Walidain NW 2 Rensing is known that the students' learning motivation is already maximal. This is evident when the researcher observed directly, how the learning process is in the classroom, it is very clear how the role of the teacher in making students enthusiastic about participating in learning. Strategies in improving learning motivation of low-ability students used by teachers include: learning strategy planning, learning organization strategy, guidance strategy, learning implementation strategy, strategy for choosing learning methods and building a classroom environment. Factors causing lack of learning motivation include: factors such as not having breakfast, lack of socializing with peers, environmental influences, less conducive learning in the classroom, lack of attention from parents. So that it can hinder the motivation of these students to progress.

Abstract

Learning cannot be separated from others and also cannot be delegated to others. Learning is only possible if the child wants it, according to his/her wishes, and experiences it himself/herself, meaning that students learn because of their interests and motivations so that with their own awareness, students will try to achieve maximum results. This research is a kind of experimental study aimed to determine the effect of learning mtode use Mind Mapping to creativity eighth grade social studies students MTs NW Pringgasela. The subjects were students of class VIII MTs NW Pringgasela totaling 53 people. The samples in this study were students of class VIII MTs NW Pringgasela, experimental class 26 and class 27 controls. Data collection techniques using test and observation techniques. The data analysis using normality test, test and test hypotheses homogentitas using t-test formula. The results obtained for the average value of the experimental class = 77.00. As for the control class average value = 71.30 there is a difference or the difference between the average value of the experimental class and control class is = 5.7 and the results of hypothesis testing using the formula t test = 2.960 from the results of this study concluded that the application of the method Mind Mapping learning krativitas effect on student learning in social studies classes VIII MTs NW Pringgasela.

Abstract

Education has the most important position in improving human resources. Through education, it is expected that individuals have competence so that they can compete with others. The objectives to be achieved in this study are: 1) To determine the process of implementing picture card media in increasing children's reading interest in TK Al-Jam'iyatul Amaliyah Gerumpung, Sepit Village. 2) To determine how effective the picture card media is in increasing children's reading interest in TK Al-Jam'iyatul Amaliyah Gerumpung, Sepit Village. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a survey research design. This research was conducted at TK Al-Jam'iyatul Amaliyah Gerumpung, Sepit Village, Keruak District, East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. In this study, the researcher used three data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique that has been used is descriptive analysis technique with data reduction, data presentation, and verification components. The results of the study indicate that the process of implementing Picture Card Media in increasing children's reading interest in TK Al-Jam'iyatul Amaliyah Gerumpung Desa Sepit is through the following stages: 1) introduction and preparation; 2) integration in learning activities; 3) content adjustment; 4) stimulation of reading interest; 5) increasing vocabulary; 6) increasing self-confidence; 7) measurement and evaluation; 8) feedback from students; 9) further development; and 10) conclusions and reflections. This study also shows that Picture Card Media has a positive impact on increasing children's reading interest in TK Al-Jamiatul Amaliyah Gerumpung Desa Sepit. This is evident from 5 teacher respondents out of 6 teachers in the kindergarten who have a positive view of 83.33%, and from a total of 20 students who participated, there were 14 students who had a positive response of 70%. And proven by the 15 number of parents who participated in this study, there were 12 respondents 80% who had a positive view.
