Abstract

The aims of this study were to analyze for the pattern diversity of organizational innovationcapability building and what factor caused it among Small and Medium Business (SMB) inSemarang.The study used seven factors of determinant of innovation capability. The factorwere human resource capability, technology usage, external interactions, marketing capability,production/operation capability, new product development, and research and development.The study also propose 2 (two) factors that were used to test what factors causes the patterndiversity of innovation capability building. The factors are business size and business age.Based on literatures reviews and questionnaire result, for 101 managers of SMB and t-tetsanalize, succeed that business size caused pattern diversity of organizational innovationcapability building among SMB for four factors.The factors were human resource capability,technologi usage, marketing capability and research and development. The followed analysis,business age caused pattern diversity of organizational innovation capability building amongSMB for four factors. Abstract

This paper aims to investigate and examine the role of fashion attractiveness in mediating therelationship between product innovation (uniqueness and novelty) and marketing performance.A total of 229 small businesses in Indonesia were selected to be tested for regressionalrelationships of the four constructs. This study finds a positive influence of product novelty anduniqueness on fashion attractiveness, yet it does not affect marketing performance. Mediationanalysis shows that fashion attractiveness plays an important role in bridging the relationshipof product novelty and product uniqueness on marketing performance. Through an in-depthexamination of a variety of literature about dynamic capabilities, entrepreneurial marketing,and company performance, this paper offers a unique analysis of the correlation of productnovelty and product uniqueness on fashion attractiveness as well as its impact on marketingperformance in the small-scale fashion industry. Abstract

The principal purpose of this study was to examine the influence of corporate governancemechanism with earnings management and influence concequensies of earnings managementto financial performance. Measurement of corporate governance mechanism consist of: institutionalownership, managerial ownership, presence of independent of director and size of director.Institutional ownership, manajerial ownership and presence of independent of director canaffect the action of earning management, which caused in the use of discretionary accruals intothe lower. Whereas the small size of director would be more effective in performing supervisoryaction of earnings management. Earnings management is conducted by managers on firmfundamental factors, namely the nterventon on making of financial statement based on accrualaccounting. So that eranings management will affect performed by managers on the factors- fundamental factors the company, by intervention in the preparation of financial statementsbased on accrual accounting. So that earnings management will affect financial performance.The populations of this research is all of companies in the manufacturing sector at the IndonesianStock Exchange, which were published in financial report from 2005-2007. Purposive samplingmethod was used to determine research sample. From this method, we have collected 37observations.By using multiple regression analysis as the research method, the findings are: manajerial ownershipinfluence negatively to earnings management and size of director influence positively toearning management as hypothesized. Institutional ownership and presence of independentof director had not significant influence to earnings management. Abstract

This study is intended to improve the competitiveness of SMEs are becoming increasingly important due to the demands of the most buyer Internaional SMEs in the supply chain . This study will discuss the most innovative technology and institutional innovation model of development of SMEs in the supply chain . Technological innovations in the form of intelectual capital development and use of information technology systems approach intensification and diversification of institutional development in the supply chain. The population in this study wasthe entire industry and SMEs in Semarang district of approximately 2,000 SMEs . The sampling frame of this study is that SMEs in the district and the city of Semarang , while respondents in this study are the owner or manager of SME . The amount of sample used in this study were 100 respondents ( SMEs ) . Sampling was purposive sampling method is directed to managers or owners of SMEs by considering sample selection on the formal SMEs . Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out and analyzing the influence of motivation against the employee performance of badan kepegawaian city semarang and to know and analyzing the influence of discipline against the employee performance of Badan Kepegawaian Daerah Kota Semarang. A method of research used in the sample of the population is a method of census against 65 respondents derived from the staff of Badan Kepegawaian Daerah Kota Semarang overall, to be used as a sample of but only 64 a questionnaire that back and analyzed. A method of collecting data used namely a questionnaire that is supported by observation, informal interview and documentation. The result showed motivation influential positively and significantlyaffect the performance of civil servants. Variable discipline shows that there are a positive influence and significant on the performance of civil servants Motivation have leverage our dominant against the employee performance than by discipline. Variable motivation and discipline can explain variation variable the employee performance 56,6 %, amounting to while 43,4 % described by another variable outside modeled on standard trust 95 % ( sig. 5 % ).Keywords: Motivation, Discipline, Employee Performance

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study is aimed to describe and analyze the relevance between spiritualism intelligence andtransformational leadership toward lecturer performance. The parameters were estimated byquestionnaire data, with 65 respondents had worked in Economic Faculty of UNISSULA. Linearregression models are developed to examined the hypothesis which used SPSS (StatisticalPackage for Social Sciences) 20 for windows. The dependent variable of this model is lecturerperformance, whereas the independent variable of this model is spiritual intelligence andtransformational leadership. The result of the data analysis by using SPSS (Statistical Packagefor Social Sciences) indicates: if the spiritual intelligence is increase, so lecturer performance isincrease too, if transformational leadership is increase, so lecturer performance is increase too.Keywords: Human Resource Performance, spiritual intelligence and transformationalleadership.

Abstract

In the competitive telecomunication industry, brand loyalty has become an important issue.Strong brand and marketing activity are becoming one of the critical levers for company’sdifferentiation and successed. The aim of this study is to find the impact of rebranding andrational appeals on brand loyalty development while using brand image as mediator in IndosatOoredoo. The sample consist of 100 respondent as Indosat Ooredoo consumer who live inSemarang. Through a structured questionnaire data were collected and with the help of SPSS,analysis was made.The results reveal that rational appeals and rebranding has significanteffects on brand image. Rebranding has no impact on brand loyalty, while Indosat Ooredoo’srational appeals and brand image has significant effect on building consumer’s brand loyalty.In the other side, rational appeals has directly impact on brand loyalty, while rebranding hasundirect impact on loyalty throuh brand image as mediator.Keywords: rebranding, rational appeals, brand image, brand loyalty

Abstract

This study proposed to examine the influence of location and product diversity on spent decisionto consumer’s loyality. The study was taken place at Carrefour, one of hypermarket in Semarang.This is an explanatory research. The number of sample of the research is 105 consumersthe method reseacrh with accidental sampling method. Questionnaire was used to obtain thedata. Abstract

This study aims to know and analyze the influence of brand experience, brand personalityand brand community to brand loyalty with brand trust as a variable intervening on Oriflameproducts .. The population is the consumer who ever bought the product Oriflame in Semarang,with the number of samples of 100 respondents. The sampling technique used in this researchis convenience sampling or convenience .. The analysis tool is path analysis, where previouslytested the validity and reliability as well as the classical assumption test.Test results show thatbrand experience, brand personality and brand personality proved to have a significant positiveeffect on brand trust and brand loyalty. Brand trusts have a positive influence on brand loyalty.Brand trust can be an intervening variable between brand experience and brand personalitytoward brand loyalty. Brand trust can be an intervening variable between brand communitytowards repurchase meaning higher brand community, the more consumers can strengthenthe understanding of its members due to high trust to Oriflame brand, so that will increasinglyincrease customer loyalty to the brand.Keywords: Brand experience, brand personality, brand community, brand trust brand loyalty
