Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of financial literacy on the adoption of fintech in improving the performance of SMEs in Kendal Regency through the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The fundamental issue that is difficult to avoid for MSME actors in Indonesia regarding financial management is the limited understanding of access to financial services, especially from formal financial institutions. This is due to the still low level of financial literacy. MSME actors play a crucial role in national economic development, but their growth is constrained by this lack of financial knowledge. Using a causality approach with the aim of developing predictions and strategies to improve financial literacy in promoting the adoption of fintech and the performance of SMEs in Kendal Regency through the Theory of Acceptance Model. The research data consists of primary data obtained directly from questionnaires distributed via Google Forms. The population of this study includes SMEs in Kendal Regency that are already using fintech, with the sampling technique employing purposive sampling methods. From the five hypotheses proposed, the statistical results indicate that four hypotheses were accepted because they meet the criteria. Meanwhile, one hypothesis was rejected because it did not meet the specified criteria. This research outcome assists local government in designing strategies to enhance financial literacy and fintech service utilization among MSMEs, thus improving sustainable business performance.

Abstract

Indonesia, as a country with the largest Muslim population, has a high demand for poultry products that are halal and safe for consumption. This study examines the role of the triple helix (government, academics, and business actors) in developing the halal industry in Poultry Slaughterhouses (RPU) in Ponorogo Regency. The research method used a qualitative approach through focus group discussions (FGD) located at the office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Ponorogo involving 15 participants from various parties who have roles of responsibility and main contributions in the development of the halal RPU industry in Ponorogo. The representatives came from the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Ponorogo, the Animal Husbandry Service, the Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH), educational institutions such as Darussalam Gontor University and Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo, and poultry slaughterhouse business actors. The FGD was carried out in a structured manner with moderator guidance to explore the role of actors in halal certification of RPU. The results of the discussion were recorded, transcribed, and analyzed using open coding techniques to identify roles, obstacles, and potential collaborations that need to be carried out in the future. The narrative results are summarized to describe the Triple Helix synergy in the development of the halal industry in Ponorogo. The results showed that the government, through the Ministry of Religious Affairs, is expected to organize structured training related to halal slaughter and certification of halal butchers. BPJPH needs to increase socialization, assistance, and funding to facilitate halal certification, as well as simplify procedures and conduct periodic audits. The Livestock Service Office is expected to be active in educating the selection of healthy poultry animals and technical assistance to fulfill the Veterinary Control Number (NKV) requirements. Poultry farmers are expected to understand the importance of halal certification and fulfill the requirements to guarantee halal products. Academics play a role in education, training, and assistance in preparing certification documents. Thus, triple helix collaboration is key in developing the halal RPU industry in Ponorogo, where each party must carry out its role according to its capabilities based on the results of the FGD evaluation.

Abstract

The phenomenon of quiet quitting is increasingly prevalent among Generation Z, which is a condition when employees only carry out minimum tasks without emotional involvement in work. One of the factors that influences this behavior is burnout. This study aims to analyze the effect of burnout on quiet quitting with work engagement as a moderating variable in Generation Z employees. This study uses a quantitative approach through a survey of 90 Generation Z  respondents in Grobogan Regency with a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of SmartPLS version 4.0. The results of the study showed that burnout had a positive and significant effect on quiet quitting, and a negative and significant effect on work engagement. Meanwhile, work engagement had a significant negative effect on quiet quitting, and significantly mediated the relationship between burnout and quiet quitting. The uniqueness of this study lies in the discovery of emotional exhaustion as the most dominant indicator of burnout and emotional disengagementas the highest indicator of quiet quitting. In addition, dedication as the main dimension of work engagement has been shown to be able to weaken the effect of burnout on quiet quitting. These findings provide a practical contribution for organizations to suppress quiet quitting behavior by strengthening employee work engagement.
