Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the practice of income smoothing in food and beverageindustry companies. Income smoothing is the intentional reduction of earnings fluctuations inan effort to stabilize profits to be considered normal for a company. This data is obtained fromwww.idx.co.id. The population in this study were food and beverage companies listed on theIndonesia Stock Exchange for the period of 2014-2016. The sampling technique used wasusing the purposive sampling method from 16 samples to 10 samples used. The data analysistechnique of this research is descriptive statistical analysis techniques. To calculate incomesmoothing using the Eckel Index formula. The results of this study indicate that 6 companiescarry out income smoothing practices and 4 companies do not.Keywords: Income Smoothing, Index Eckel

Abstract

This research aims to know how the owners of Small Medium Enterprise (SME) develop theirinnovation capacity. Besides that, are there impact of differentiaton in developing innovationcapacity to SME’s operational performance.To answer that questions descriptive statistics was used to explain the first question, and thenwe used ANOVA analysis to answer the second question. Sample in this research is the owneror manager of SME. Using purposive random sampling, we got 100 SME.The result of descriptive statistics show there are 6 design indeveloping innovation capacity andthe differentiation of them have no impact to SME’s operational performance.Keywords : kapabilitas inovasi, kinerja operasional

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the correlation between the application of the principles of corporate governance (fairness, transparency, accountability, and responsibility) with earnings management in companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2011-2012 and gives an overview of how the implementation of corporate governanceini can reduce management actions profits made by the company manager. This study used secondary data from publicly traded companies nonlembagakeuangan ever survey of corporate governance followed PerceptionIndex 2009 to 2012 conducted by The IndonesianInstitute for Corporate Governance(IICG). Tests carried out using correlation test. Tests conducted for 2011-2012 and combined in 2011 and 2012. Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the effect of empowering leadership on employee performance, empowering leadership on psychological empowerment, empowerment influence of role identity to strengthen the relationship between empowering leadership and psychological empowerment, psychological empowerment influences on creative engagement process, the influence of psychological empowerment on intristic motivation, leader influence encouragement of creativity in strengthening the relationship between psychological empowerment and creativeengagement process, the influence of the creative process on the performance of employee engagement, motivation intristic influence on employee performance. Population of this study are all employees of Sultan Agung Islamic Hospital. Samples method conducted by proportional sampling technique. Then the analytical techniques used Partial Least Square (PLS). Based on the hypothesis of this study can be concluded that: 1) Empowering leadership have positive and significant effect on employees performance, 2) Empowering leadership have positive effect but no significant effect on psychological empowerment, 3) Empowerment role identity significantly strengthen the positive relationship between empowering leadership andpsychological empowerment., 4) Psychological empowerment have positive influence but not significant to creative process engagement, 5) Psychological empowerment have positive and significant effect on instrinsic motivation., 6) Encouragement of creativity leader reinforces a significant positive effect between psychological empowerment and creative engagement process, 7) Creative process engagement have positive effect but not significant to employees performance, 8) Intrinsic motivation have positive and significant effect on employees performance.Keywords : Empowering leadership, empowerment role identity, leader encouragement of creativity, psychological empowerment, creative process engagement, intrinsicmotivation, kinerja karyawan.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study examined the influence of organizational culture and commitment also motivation tooptimize employee performance. From the previous studies there are research gaps where therelationship between organizational culture and commitment to the employee performance isinconsistent. Researcher interested in testing the motivation as an intervening variable betweenorganizational culture and commitment to employee performance where the existing researchmore studied about commitment as intervening between organizational culture and motivationon the employee performance. Researcher using random sampling with 110 samples. The dataanalysis technique in this study is used regression and path analysis with SPSS 22. The entiretyof the hypothesis is proven significantly. From the research gaps results of this study supportthe results were positive influence between organizational culture and commitment to employeeperformance. Organizational culture and the commitment also motivation affecting employeeperformance of 81.7%, while the rest influenced by other variables. Based on path analysismotivation in this study can not be intervening between organizational culture and commitmentto employee performance. Optimizing the performance of CV Perkasa Telkomselindo will bemore effective if it is through direct sowing culture of the organization and the commitment alsomotivation than a third confounding variables.Keywords: Commitment, Employee Performance, Motivation, Organizational Culture

Abstract

The role of human resources reliable and professional in order to increase performance isneeded, because it will affect the survival of the company. The phenomenon that often occursin PT Prudential Life Assurance is the declining performance of the agency in the search for lifeinsurance customers indicated by the number of customers. The purpose of this research is toinvestigate and analyze the influence of social capital and learning organization of the agency’sperformance in PT Prudential Life Assurance with knowledge sharing as an intervening variable.The population is all the marketing power PT Prudential HD Agency Semarang are still active by67 employees. Given a population of only 67 employees, it deserves to be taken as a whole tobe sampled, so this study is a census study. A tool of analysis is path analysis, which previouslytested the validity and reliability and classic assumption test. The test results indicate socialcapital proved to have a positive effect and significant knowledge sharing. Learning organizationhas a positive and significant impact on knowledge sharing. Social capital, learning organizationand knowledge sharing proved to have a positive and significant impact on the performance ofthe agency. Knowledge sharing is not able to become an intervening variable between socialcapital with the performance of the agency. Knowledge sharing is able to become an interveningvariable between learning organization with the performance of the agency, meaning that thehigher awareness of the company in increasing the capacity of learning for employees, itwill raise the height of employees to share knowledge and it certainly will impact on the highperformance of the agency.Keywords: Social capital, learning organization, knowledge sharing and performance agency

Abstract

Many companies use self-service technology nowadays as a result of advances in technology.In the specific, those companies replace personal services with self-service technologyfacilities. For instance, a bank can use automatic teller machine (ATM) instead of a bank tellerinside the bank. The use of self-service technologies is aimed to fulfill the variety of consumers’needs. However, not many research focus on the impact of self-service technology onconsumer satisfaction and loyalty. Therefore, the aim of this research is to test a model of theimpact of self-service technology on consumer satisfaction and loyalty. This research replicatedthe model which was developed by B���������������eatson et al. �(22006006�������) and ex��������������������������������tend the model by adding a variablecalled consumer loyalty. Questionnaires were distributed to respondents by the drop-off/pick-up method and a total of 372 completed questionnaires were used in the analysis. The datawas then analyzed using structural equation modeling. Abstract

in this study is to find and analyze the influence of orientasipasar , knowledge sharingand orientation learning of the performance of business with variable innovation as variable nointervening on industrial flour tapioca in kabupaten Pati. A population that used is the owner /entrepreneurs on industrial flour tapioca in kabupaten Pati of 162 people. Based on the resultsof the spread of the questionnaire directly to owners and with using a technique the samplecollection simple random sampling, so obtained the sample of the of 66 respondents instrumentthe analysis is the path analysis with the program spss, where formerly undergone a validityand reliability and test the assumption classical. The results of testing shows that marketorientation knowledge sharing and orientation of learning shown to have a positive influence toinnovation and business performance .Innovation have a positive influence on the performanceof business , can be defined that the more the owner / entrepreneurs be able to create newproduct innovation , the more one is increase the business performance produced .Innovationcapable of being variable intervening between market orientation with the performance ofbusiness , it means the higher market orientation , The owner of the / employers could know ,understand and answer the needs and hope from customers , so that the owner / entrepreneurswill be created product innovation new in increase the business performance . Abstract

The purpose of this article is to investigate the effect of perception’s service quality, and priceon satisfaction and customer’s loyalty at Shariah life insurance in Central Java Province. Thepopulation are Shariah life insurance staff The respondents are chosen by using accidentalsampling techniques. The data collected from 140 respondents and analysed by statisticaltool of structural equation modeling (SEM). The result showed that : First, perception of servicequality produced a positive significant impact on satisfaction. Second, satisfaction waspositive and significantly associated with customer’s loyalty. Third, the service quality was directlyrelated to customer’s loyalty, but the effect of service quality on customer’s loyalty morethan satisfaction as intervening variable with estimate value 0,767 if compared the directlyrelated service quality on loyalty, with value 0,277 Theoretical found that the conventionalServQual is a part from Shariah insurance study, the Shariah insurance as an alternative forcustomer will be faithful to the religion norm in accordance with Shariah principles. The empiricalfound that as Shariah insurance customers, the customers have already executed thereligion norm in accordance with Al.Quran at An-Nisa:9. Studies found that the society’s Interestto buy Shariah life insurance policy and the insurance commitment to the risk protectingare low, finally the society commitment toward life insurance decreases.Key words : Service Quality/Khidmah, with The Syar’I Satisfaction/Qona’ah and Customer’sLoyalty/Al-wala’

Abstract

The existence of human resources in an organization has a very important role. Humanresources are no longer seen as factors of production but as assets that must be managedwell in order to achieve the goals of an organization. The purpose of this study was todetermine the effect of work stress, compensation, Islamic work ethic and job satisfaction onwork performance at Sultan Agung Islamic Hospital Semarang. The population of this studywere permanent nurses of Sultan Agung Semarag Islamic Hospital. The sampling techniqueis purposive sampling, which is a sampling technique based on certain criteria. Collecting thedata by using a questionnaire consisting of open questions and closed questions, then the datawere analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS software. The test resultsshow that work stress, compensation, Islamic work ethics and job satisfaction have a positiveand significant effect on work performance.Keywords: Job Stress, Compensation, Islamic Work Ethics, Job Satisfaction, Job Performance
