Abstract

The advancement of information and communication technology, particularly the internet, has significantly influenced the lives of people in both urban and rural areas. One of its impacts can be observed in the character development of children in Wagirlor Village, Ngebel Subdistrict, Ponorogo Regency, who actively use social media and online games. This study aims to explore how the use of digital media shapes and affects children’s character. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method through field observations, interviews with children and parents, as well as a literature review. The findings indicate that social media and online games have positive impacts, such as enhancing creativity, cooperation, competitive spirit, and providing opportunities in the creative economy. On the other hand, negative effects were also identified, including addiction, reduced face-to-face social interactions, declining interest in learning, and low digital literacy. The study concludes that digital media has two contrasting sides, and therefore, guidance from parents, teachers, and the community is crucial to ensure that children can use technology wisely, maintain balance, and uphold moral values as well as local culture.

Abstract

This community service article analyzes the integration of traditional and modern methods in teaching Safinatun Naja at Nurul Qur’an Islamic Boarding School, Ponorogo, using the ABCD approach. The study was motivated by students’ boredom with one-way traditional methods. Through four stages—discover, dream, design, and destiny—data were collected via observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed qualitatively. The results show that asset-based integration strengthens traditional methods (bandongan, sorogan, memorization, tiqror) while combining them with modern approaches (collaborative and experiential learning), leading to greater student participation, focus, comprehension, and interaction. This approach is effective, participatory, and offers a sustainable model for Islamic education development.

Abstract

Every country strives to provide high-quality education to prepare for the era of progress. However, the learning process at school alone is not enough to maximize children's motivation to learn. One way to increase this motivation is through tutoring. The goal of this program is to help students, especially early childhood and elementary school students, achieve optimal learning, particularly through home-based or in-person learning. The method used in this activity is the ABCD (Asset-Based Community Development) method. The results of this program include increased interest in learning in children, increased confidence in completing school assignments independently, and increased enthusiasm and interest in learning.

Abstract

Pengabdian Masyarakat yang di lakukan di dukuh Segadung Desa Sempu Kecamatan Ngebel Ponorogo berupa kegiatan pengembangan sumber daya alam sekaligus pengembangan skill atau sumber daya manusia yang ada di desa tersebut. Dusun Segadung terletak di dataran tinggi yang memiliki sumber daya alam yang melimpah salah satunya ialah singkong. Pengolahan singkong di dusun segadung selama ini hanya di kukus, di goreng dan di buat tape. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk mendidik masyarakat agar potensi lokal yang belum dimanfaatkan dapat dioptimalkan, terutama yang berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kesejahteraan petani dan buruh tani. Pelaksanaan metodenya meliputi identifikasi potensi dan isu, perencanaan program pelatihan, sosialisasi program, serta eksekusi pelatihan. Acara ini dihadiri oleh para ibu PKK dari Dukuh Segadung. Kegiatan ini menghasilkan peningkatan kreativitas dan inovasi baru bagi masyarakat, serta menyadarkan mereka bahwa kita bisa mengolah makanan pokok dengan nilai ekonomi tinggi yang pada akhirnya dapat mendukung perekonomian dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup di daerah pedesaan.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan membentuk karakter religius siswa SDN Sempu Kecamatan Ngebel melalui pembiasaan sholat dhuha berjamaah. Metode yang digunakan adalah Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) dengan tahapan discovery, dream, design, delivery, dan destiny. Kegiatan dilaksanakan setiap hari pada jam istirahat di perpustakaan sekolah dengan melibatkan guru, siswa, dan dukungan orang tua. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa pembiasaan sholat dhuha berjamaah berdampak positif pada kedisiplinan, rasa syukur, tanggung jawab, ukhuwah, dan ketenangan belajar siswa. Program ini berkembang menjadi budaya religius sekolah yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of food management at the Nurul Qur'an Pakunden Ponorogo Islamic Boarding School. The purpose of this study is to find out the implementation or application of food management which includes a series of activities starting from the planning, organizing, implementation, to supervision stages at the Nurul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School. This research was conducted at the Nurul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School and was conducted from July 16 - August 28, 2025. The research uses the ABCD (Asset Based Community-driven Development) method , which is a method that prioritizes the benefits of assets and potentials that exist and are owned by the Nurul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that budget planning is still constrained by funds, menus are not based on nutritional standards, the workforce does not have a nutritional background, the implementation does not follow operational standards, and hygiene supervision is still weak.

Abstract

This article discusses the Implementation of the ABCD Approach in the Book of Mutamimah Memorization Method to strengthen nahwu knowledge at the Nurul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School in Ponorogo. This service article aims to identify supporting and inhibiting factors in the process of memorizing the book of mutamimah at the Nurul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School in Ponorogo, as well as analyzing memorization-based nahwu learning strategies. The ABCD approach emphasizes the use of the potential, assets, and strengths possessed by students and the pesantren environment, so that the learning process does not only focus on weaknesses, but on the development of existing abilities. The subjects of this research include students, and education administrators. This research was conducted on July 20-August 25, 2025 at the Nurul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School. In the practical process, students are required to make memorization deposits to listeners every day. Some students were able to complete memorization to khatam within six months. The process of strengthening nahwu knowledge at the Nurul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School in Ponorogo is carried out through several methods, including tikrar (repetition), memorization deposit of the book of mutamimah, and muroja'ah.

Abstract

This assistance aims to process rice that is no longer used in Islamic boarding schools as food for livestock that is safe, has sufficient nutrition, and does not damage the environment. Leftover rice is a type of food waste that is very large in Islamic boarding schools, so if not managed properly, it can cause waste and pollution problems. With this research, it is hoped that it can add insight into the proper processing of leftover rice so that it can be reused as animal feed. In addition, this research also aims to reduce expenses in buying animal feed, increase the use of resources more efficiently, and help students understand the importance of managing food waste in a useful way. Research on the use of leftover rice as food for livestock at the Nurul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School in Pakunden Ponorogo uses the ABCD (Asset Based Community-driven Development) approach. This approach was chosen because it emphasizes the recognition and utilization of the potential and assets in the boarding school, so that it can be used optimally to improve food independence and environmental management in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This study was conducted to explain how Islam and local Islamic education influence the success of Islamic preaching in Sempu Village. The Sempu Village community is known to uphold local customs and cultural values, which then become strategic tools in conveying Islamic teachings. Through cultural approaches such as sedekah bumi (earth alms), selametan (celebration), regular Yasinan (recitation of the Yasin), and reog (reog) performances, local preachers and religious leaders can convey Islamic messages more effectively and be accepted by the community. The research method used is the ABCD Method. This method focuses more on an in-depth understanding of phenomena, opinions, and perceptions. Qualitative methods involve techniques such as interviews, participant observation, text analysis, and case studies. The goal is to understand the social, cultural, and psychological context surrounding the subjects studied in the Sempu Village community. And through the community service that has been implemented, students have a better understanding of the cultural diversity of each village.

Abstract

This service applies the ABCD (Asset-Based Community-driven Development) approach to develop marketing innovations and human resource management at PT Berkah Tani Lestari Ponorogo. The service was held from July 16 to August 28, 2025 at the Tani Lestari Blessing Garden, located in Njali Hamlet, Mrican Village, Jenangan District, Ponorogo Regency. ABCD is implemented by utilizing community assets in the form of agricultural land, local labor, farming experience, and existing marketing networks. These assets were identified and mobilized to design a marketing strategy for "BUMI Lestari" cashew fertilizer, develop chili harvest agro-tourism, and build a structured work management system. The purpose of this research is to design a marketing strategy for 'BUMI Lestari' cashmere fertilizer, develop agro-tourism innovations for chili harvesting to increase selling value, as well as build a structured plantation management system and marketing partnership model that strengthens farmers' bargaining positions. The methods used include in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and direct collaboration with farmers. The results of the service show that the implementation of ABCD increases community involvement, strengthens farmers' bargaining positions, increases the selling price of products by up to 50%, and creates better work discipline. These findings confirm the important role of local asset-based approaches in realizing sustainable agriculture.
