Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) among elementary school students, resulting from instruction that was still dominated by the lecture method and a lack of engaging learning media. This condition caused students to be less actively involved and to have limited understanding of the material being taught. This study aimed to determine the effect of the Read Answer Discuss Explain Create (RADEC) learning model assisted by diorama media on elementary school students' IPAS learning outcomes. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method, using a pretest-posttest control group design. The population consisted of all third-grade students of SDN Jiwan 01, Madiun Regency, in the 2025/2026 academic year. The research sample comprised 42 students, divided into an experimental class and a control class. Data were collected through pretest and posttest. The research instrument consisted of multiple-choice questions that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques included normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing using IBM SPSS version 25. The results showed that the average posttest score of the experimental class was 88.86, higher than that of the control class at 68.67. The hypothesis test results obtained a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, leading to the rejection of H0 and the acceptance of H1. Thus, it can be concluded that the RADEC learning model assisted by diorama media has a significant effect on elementary school students' IPAS learning outcomes.

Abstract

West Pasaman Regency in West Sumatra is among Indonesia's oldest and most productive smallholder oil palm landscapes, yet its growers remain largely outside the country's formal sustainability governance architecture. This study draws on field findings from six oil palm smallholders in West Pasaman to examine how Good Management Practices (GMP), local wisdom, socio-economic conditions, environmental awareness, and certification aspirations interact at the household level, and uses these findings to design a local wisdom-based governance model for sustainable palm oil. A qualitative descriptive case-study approach was used; structured interview data were analyzed thematically and triangulated with the broader literature on Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) certification, collaborative governance theory, and smallholder institutional arrangements in West Sumatra. The findings show that while smallholders have benefited substantially from palm oil cultivation in terms of household income, their understanding of GMP remains largely conceptual rather than practical because of minimal formal training, and none of the respondents hold ISPO or RSPO certification. At the same time, customary practices such as the prohibition on land-burning, mutual-aid labor (gotong royong), and adat-based conflict resolution remain active and are perceived by farmers as more legitimate than formal regulation alone. Building on these findings and on collaborative governance theory, this study proposes a six-actor, three-pillar governance model, termed Local Wisdom-Based Sustainable Palm Oil Governance (LW-SPOG), that positions customary institutions as co-equal governance actors alongside farmers, cooperatives, partner mills, local government, and environmental NGOs. The model offers a contextually grounded complement to technocratic certification schemes and provides a practical reference for policymakers, cooperatives, and companies seeking to reconcile productivity, environmental stewardship, and cultural legitimacy in Indonesia's smallholder palm oil sector

Abstract

This study aims to formulate a sustainable financial management strategy for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) located in Pondok Petir Subdistrict, Bojongsari District, Depok City. While MSMEs constitute a vital engine of the national economy, practitioners in this sector continue to grapple with persistent structural constraints including limited financial literacy, restricted access to formal financing, and vulnerability to production cost volatility. A descriptive qualitative research design was adopted, employing purposive sampling to engage 92 MSME operators as primary informants, complemented by field observations, questionnaire surveys, and in-depth interviews. To enhance analytical depth and validate preliminary findings, a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was conducted with a diverse group of stakeholders encompassing representatives from the local government, MSME associations, business development clinics, academic institutions, and commercial banking entities. The findings reveal that MSMEs in Pondok Petir possess notable organizational strengths, including a sizeable and cohesive business community, demonstrated entrepreneurial resilience, and locally competitive advantages in the culinary and creative service industries. Nonetheless, critical weaknesses persist in the form of inadequate financial literacy, absence of standardized bookkeeping, and constrained capital access. On the external dimension, significant opportunities arise from government-driven development programs, the availability of microfinance instruments, and expanding digital marketing ecosystems, while threats emanate from raw material price instability, fluctuating consumer demand, and market saturation. SWOT matrix analysis positions MSMEs in Quadrant I, prescribing an aggressive SO strategy characterized by measures to bolster financial literacy, formalize cooperative-based financing mechanisms, accelerate digital marketing adoption, and establish collective procurement systems for raw materials. This research contributes to the development of a participatory financial strategy framework aimed at reinforcing the competitive capacity of local MSMEs and may serve as a strategic reference for governments, financial institutions, academics, and the broader business community

Abstract

Background: The rapid expansion of technology companies has heightened the demand for sustained innovation, yet many organizations struggle to cultivate the psychological conditions that enable employees to take creative risks. For Generation Z workers—digital natives who seek meaning, autonomy, and authenticity at work—the quality of leadership may be particularly consequential in shaping these conditions. Purpose: This study examines the mediating role of psychological safety in the relationship between authentic leadership and innovative work behavior among Generation Z employees in technology companies. Methods: A quantitative survey design was employed, collecting data from 215 Generation Z employees (born 1997–2012) working in Indonesian technology companies through purposive sampling. Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM) was used to test the proposed mediation model. Results: Authentic leadership positively and significantly influenced both psychological safety (β = 0.52, p < 0.001) and innovative work behavior (β = 0.31, p < 0.01). Psychological safety was found to significantly mediate the relationship between authentic leadership and innovative work behavior (indirect effect = 0.22, 95% CI [0.14, 0.31]). Conclusions: Authentic leadership plays a pivotal role in creating an environment where Generation Z employees feel psychologically safe, which in turn encourages them to engage in innovative work behavior. Technology organizations should prioritize authentic leadership development as a strategic lever for sustaining competitive innovation.

Abstract

Empathetic pedagogy has emerged as a pivotal framework in strengthening the socio-emotional resilience of young children, especially in the post-pandemic digital era. This study aims to systematically conceptualize the operationalization, instructional strategies, and multidimensional impacts of empathetic pedagogy within Early Childhood Education (ECE) ecosystems through a qualitative descriptive-analytical literature review. Data were systematically collected from Google Scholar, Sinta, and Scopus (2016–2026), and analyzed using thematic content analysis techniques. The synthesis confirms that empathetic pedagogy operates through a tripartite architecture: cognitive empathy (perspective-taking), affective empathy (emotional resonance), and compassionate action (regulatory response). Three effective micro-instructional strategies were identified: teacher modeling, restructuring the morning circle into listening spaces, and digital-reflective bibliotherapy. Consistent implementation of these strategies has been shown to improve emotional regulation, strengthen prosocial behavior, and foster an inclusive classroom climate based on secure attachment. This study recommends the reformulation of curricula and teacher training grounded in empathy, as well as the integration of digital innovations in ECE learning practices. The findings provide conceptual and practical foundations for developing early childhood education that is more humanistic and responsive to children’s emotional needs.

Abstract

Conventional human development measurement remains important for evaluating regional progress, yet it may not fully capture ethical, religious, familial, and intergenerational dimensions of welfare in Muslim-majority contexts. This study aims to construct a Maqasid Welfare Index for Kabupaten Sampang, Indonesia, compare its movement with the Human Development Index (HDI), and identify welfare dimensions that remain less visible in aggregate human development measurement. Using an exploratory quantitative case-study design, the study analyses district-level secondary data from 2021 to 2024. The Maqasid Welfare Index was constructed through min–max normalisation and equal weighting across five maqasid dimensions: religion, life, intellect, lineage, and wealth. The findings show that HDI and the Maqasid Welfare Index moved in the same positive direction during the observation period. However, dimensional disaggregation reveals that welfare progress was uneven, with the lineage and family dimension remaining relatively weaker than the other maqasid dimensions. The strong association between HDI and maqasid-based welfare is interpreted as statistical co-movement rather than causal evidence. The study concludes that maqasid-based welfare measurement can serve as a diagnostic complement to HDI by revealing hidden welfare imbalances in low-HDI Muslim-majority regions.
