Abstract

The charity box is a place to collect alms from the community. Currently, the charity box that we often encounter in the money counting system in the charity box is still required to open the lid of the charity box and count manually. Therefore, a system is needed that can recognize banknote denominations and automatically calculate the nominal amount of banknotes that go into the charity box. The aim of this research is to design and create a system for reading nominal banknotes using a Logitech C3010 webcam and monitoring the number of banknotes using the MIT App Inventor application. In this research, the author uses the template matching method to identify the nominal value of banknotes that go into the charity box. Based on the test results, the template matching method can be implemented to detect nominal banknotes with a threshold value of >0.40 and an effective distance of 20-30 cm so that the nominal money produced is detected very well.

Abstract

The development of the Internet of Things facilitates the integration of devices with the environment by providing networking capabilities to systems. This research focuses on an IoT-based Smart Fence monitoring system that will be capable of remote monitoring and control through an Android application. The system also enables voice control, enhancing accessibility and user convenience in specific situations. The research methodology centers around quantitative methods, where the researcher collects data from the system after conducting tests. The tests yield varied results, including an average signal speed of 46.74 Mbps, an average voice recognition rate of 75%, an average system operation time (via buttons/voice) of 9.71 seconds with a success rate of 66.67%, and application Testing with an average time of 2.13 seconds and a success rate of 71.43%. Based on the system's trial results, it is observed that the system's performance can be categorized as quite good. The system encounters challenges, especially in implementing the system in English, with values indicating failures in Testing. This research is expected to improve the efficiency of IoT-based fence control and has the potential for further development to support the advancement of IoT technology.

Abstract

The historical introduction application is an area that has information about historical heritage. However, not many people know about the history of the Bangka Belitung Islands province. In the current era, mobile applications are growing very rapidly, so it would be very good to create a media in the form of an information application for identifying historical places and buildings in the Bangka Belitung Islands province. The aim of this research is to introduce the history of cultural heritage in the Bangka Belitung Islands province by creating an application that can display images, videos, materials and descriptions of the application. Researchers hope that it will be easier for users to find out and study the application for recognizing historical places and buildings in the Bangka Belitung Islands province.

Abstract

Tourism plays an important role in the global economy, including in the Bangka Belitung Islands. However, information on tourism destinations here is still limited. Therefore, this exploration aims to create applications and websites based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to guide tourists in finding tourism destinations in the Bangka Belitung Islands. The GIS application makes it easier for tourists to access tourism information, increases interest in visiting, and makes finding locations easier. Through practical access via mobile applications and websites, this service helps local and foreign tourists. The development of mobile and website-based GIS applications is expected to overcome the limitations of previous tourism information systems in Bangka Belitung by utilizing Location Based Services (LBS). GIS technology, especially mobile GIS, allows easy access, updating, manipulation, analysis and display of geographic information. The conclusion of this research is that the development of GIS-based applications and websites using the LBS approach is expected to make a positive contribution in promoting tourism in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, not only providing the required information but also enriching the experience of tourists.

Abstract

The lack of public understanding in distinguishing between fresh and spoiled meat, coupled with the unrestricted use of formalin, provides opportunities for unscrupulous traders to gain greater profits. Therefore, the development of image processing for beef freshness and formalin identification is necessary. This image processing utilizes the YOLO method, while formalin identification is done using an HCHO sensor. The system was tested every 2 hours, starting from 9:00 AM, revealing that at 9:00 AM, fresh meat was identified with a 87.89% accuracy, at 11:00 AM, fresh meat was identified with a 74.43% accuracy, and at 1:00 PM, spoiled meat was identified with a 38.85% accuracy. The results indicate that the longer the meat is left untreated, the more its freshness diminishes, eventually being identified as spoiled meat. For formalin identification in beef, results from 4 samples show that the longer the meat is exposed to formalin solution, the higher the volatility of the sensor, indicating the presence of formalin in the meat.

Abstract

Happy pharmacy is a pharmacy that sells medicine located at street Kp. Asam, Kec. Rangkui, Pangkalpinang City, Bangka Belitung Island 33684. In running its business, Happy Pharmacy still uses a conventional system where all information regarding drug sales and sales reports is still done manually. This causes problems such as the problems that occr at the Happy Pangkalpinang Pharmacy, the author created a web-based pharmacy information system with the aim of making it easier for users to process and provide information regarding pharmacy data and to support the work effectiveness and accuracy of existing pharmacy data. the method that the author useus in building a web-based pharmacy information system uses the waterfall method which consists of several stages such as analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation. Data collection techniques used in the web-based pharmacy information system are interviews, observation and literature study. For system development, the language used PHP,MySQL.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the implementation of the financial system at the Ma'had Tahfidz Qur'an Islamic boarding school which still uses a manual system in managing students' pocket money. This study aims to create a Qmart online store application. This application was created in order to make it easier for the guardians of students as application users to buy needs and review student finances. This research was conducted using the waterfall method, namely analysis, design, coding, testing to implementation. The skipped steps wait until the previous step is completed and must be carried out sequentially so that the process occurs linearly from the initial stage of system development to the final stage. In addition, this research uses various data collection techniques such as interviews, observations, and literature reviews. The findings show that the Qmart online store application offers a simple menu and can display the history of several transactions made. It can be concluded that the Qmart online shop application makes it easy for student guardians to meet the needs of their students and manage their finances.

Abstract

In this research, the Smart Garden IoT system is implemented to enhance the efficiency of strawberry plant management, utilizing Ds18B20 temperature sensor, soil moisture sensor, water pH sensor, and a Flowmeter. Real-time data will be transmitted to the Blynk software for analysis. The research methodology involves the installation of sensors and the use of an ESP32 microcontroller in the strawberry cultivation area. The objectives of the study include improving monitoring and control, as well as supporting timely and efficient irrigation and fertilization of strawberry plants. This smart garden system operates according to predefined time settings and is also adjusted based on soil moisture sensor readings. The watering schedule is set for morning, afternoon, and evening. However, if the soil moisture remains around 80-90%, watering will be withheld. The research conclusion supports the concept of Smart Garden as an innovative solution to enhance efficiency in plant care through IoT technology

Abstract

Helm serves as a crucial safety equipment for two-wheeler riders, aiming to mitigate impact during accidents by adhering to the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 1811-2007. With the advancement of time, the utilization and exploitation of materials such as wood, stone, metal, and various others are rapidly progressing. However, this technological advancement has led to a decline in the availability of metal raw materials, thus one of the solutions to overcome this issue is by utilizing composite materials. This is due to their superior qualities including strength, corrosion resistance, lightweight, and cost-effectiveness. This research employs braided PE strings with considerations of brand, volume fraction, and orientation arrangement. The analysis method utilized in this study is the Taguchi method, aimed at identifying the most influential factors in impact testing. From the impact testing results, the highest impact test value is found in Brand A, with a volume fraction of 4%, and a transverse fiber orientation, averaging at 0.120542 J/mm2. The lowest impact test value is observed in Brand B, with a volume fraction of 2%, and a transverse fiber orientation, averaging at 0.005833 J/mm2. Based on the highest average impact strength specimen values, specimens pass the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) test, with a minimum impact strength value of 0.00972 J/mm².

Abstract

Livestock farming is one of five agricultural subsectors. Animal husbandry is the activity of keeping livestock for cultivation and gaining profits from this activity. Broiler chickens are a type of commodity in the livestock sector that produces food from livestock and has quite potential economic value. The aim of this research is to help breeders' activities in controlling and monitoring livestock continuity. Apart from that, this research is also to produce ideal temperatures in the chick cage so that heat stress conditions do not occur in the chicks. Based on the sensor and thermometer test results for temperature measurements in the table, it can be concluded that the average percentage of measurement results is normal. The data that has been taken shows that the LM35 and DHT11 sensors have good temperature detection capabilities. Therefore, this sensor can be used well to detect the temperature needed in this final project.
